ThinkPad x200s 7470 3g driver

Hi,
I'm trying to find and download 3g driver for ThinkPad x200s but i cant find it. Can you send me link or tell me how to install drivers for 3g modem.
Thx.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Purchase and install wwan card (modem) youself.
Look at the page below for details:
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/x200_x200s_x200si_x201_x201i_x201s_hmm_en...
Lenovo approved wwan cards for x200s are listed on the page below:
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-70510#7
Select the card you need (it depends of the area where you are) and p/n (FRU). For almost worldwide carriers Gobi 2000 is good choice, in European netwoкs Ericsson F3507 will work too.
Modern external 3g/lte/wifi routers are the best choice if you need the capability of LTE FDD/TDD networks.
UPD
Be sure your laptop is wwan ready i.e.has sim reader and wwan antennas.

  • Thinkpad X200 Vista Business 32-bit Wireless network problems

    Hey guys!
I seem to have a persistent problem with my two Lenovo Thinkpad X200, which I simply can't manage to figure it.
I have recently restored the computers to factory settings, which meant downgrading from Windows 8 to Windows Vista Business 32-Bit.
Now, everything with the installation went as planned until I had to test if everything was working. A lot of the drivers seem to be missing and since I do not still have the original manufacturer's disc, I do not know what to do.
I downloaded the ethernet driver from Lenovo's website and that is now fully functional.
I have also tried everything in regards to making the wireless internet work, but without any luck. When I try connecting to the wireless internet, Windows simply can't detect any networks and when I try using Windows function to find a solution to the problem it simply says "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured".
I have tried downloading all the wireless lan driver for Windows Vista 32-bit from Lenovo's website, but I still cannot get the wireless network to work.
Any help would be highly appreciated
    Thank you in advance

Does the wireless LED light up?
    Try Fn+F5?

    hey Alphapoint,
try this, uninstall the Wifi LAN drivers. let Windows install its generic drivers.
test your connection with the generic drivers. See if that works, then install the drivers from our support site but before you install it, go to MSCONFIG and set your unit to Diagnostic mode first before installing.

  • Thinkpad X200 Cannot Resume from Standby (by Closing Lid)

I am having such problem lately. I suspect it is caused by new updates performed by system update,
Now my thinkpad could not resume after i made it to go standby by closing lid. When i open the lid, the standby LED just light up and dont respond to Fn+Suspend or power button, and the screen is just blank. Plugging in the power gives the same reult. The issue really annoys me as i always need to shutdown and bootup again. Any sugguestion? My thinkpad is Thinkpad X200 and the OS is Windows XP SP2

they told me that there are some drivers that need to be updated, so i updated the Display drivers, the wireless lan, and the power management drivers. but, it did not worked and i still counld resume from reopening the lid. i still have to shut the machine down to get it work again .
Here are the drivers that i updated.

  • Drivers for ThinkPad X200 (7458W4J)

    Hi,
Where I can download drivers for the ThinkPad X200 (model 7458W4J) ?
On an official site (lenovo/suppor&downloads) ) this model is absent.
    Thanks,
    mktpx200

    welcome to the forum!
the 7458-W4J is a japanese model and may only show up on lenovo's japanese model selector.
however, you can find the X200 driver matrix here.   if you are running a japanese version of windows then these installers should still display in english without a problem.

  • I can scroll down web pages with my Lenovo ThinkPad X200. I could, but then I got some updates and it doesn't work. I can scroll fine with an external mouse. I just can't use the "scroll controls" on my laptop. Any ideas why? It's frustrating!

When I got my machine two years ago and loaded Firefox, I could scroll with the red button that's on the keyboard of the Lenovo ThinkPad x200. Then, a few months ago, Firefox was updated. Not sure which version. And, now I can't scroll. The keypad scroll works in MS Windows programs. It just doesn't work in Firefox. I can't get anywhere with the options so I'm stuck for now. (The scrolling works in Internet Explorer). So, I think it's something that going on with FireFox not with my computer.

In general, you are correct - but also your server does need to be properly configured (and those errors above lead me to think it may not be) to serve the file types that your uploading - but it could be something else entirely. Can you zip up your composition folder, upload it to your Creative Cloud files, set it to share, and then post a link here so I can download it? If you'd rather not share it publicly, can you PM me with a link to your composition files?

  • Thinkpad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter

I would like to install a second hard drive in my T61. I saw a thread that advised I can do this by purchasing a "Thinkpad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter". The thread also had a link where one can be purchased. However, the page displayed by the link said that the product was unavailable. Do I have any other options for installing a second hard drive? Will this adapter become available for purchase in the future? I want to install solaris or Linux on the second drive and boot from it, I assume this is possible. Thanks.

  • Bluetooth drivers for thinkpad x200

it appears my windows 7 32bit thinkpad x200 has question marks at bluetooth adapters in device manager.
I have installed the drivers that are available on the website of lenovo producer, but no change is observable.
The device seems to work well, that is share and access files with android smartphone, and use android's internet, but when it comes to sharing internet with the smartphone, there is no transmission. I wonder if broken drivers could be the cause.
    any experiences?

  • ThinkPad x200s randomly goes to Standby?!?!?!?! Help!!! :)

    Hi there,
I have a ThinkPad x200s which is about 2-3 years old and recently it has been going to the stanby mode randomly. When I say standby, I mean it goes back to the blue screen where it asks me to swipe my finger to log on.
It does when I am either working and typing or when I am watching a movies - no rules. I did however notice that with every bit of movement, it goes to stand by.
Now, the thing is, at work, my colleague accidentaly managed to pull the cable from my laptop when it fell of the very low table. After my initial worry, it seemed to work after that, so I am not sure if the random going to stanby mode is due to that. This was about a month ago. I have also been carrying my laptop around a lot, so I am wondering if it might be the constant shakes and movement it experiences when carried around that perhaps made it very sensitive. If this makes sense? Because, I also notices that when I touch the screen, it goes to stand by. Or maybe I caused the problem because sometimes I don't shut down my laptop, I just put the screen down overnight. Not sure!!!
So, this last Friday, I left my laptop at home, didn't carry it to work, and I noticed that over the weekend, whilist it has been going to the stand by mode now and then, it is much less frequent, unless I do some sudden movement with my laptop.
What could it be, guys? I am happy to answer any questions if that is going to help diagnose the problem. I just don't want to take it to repairs yet and get overcharged for something that maybe I could fix myself. My friend suggested I reboot my system and re-install Windows. Oh, another thing, for the past few months, when I Skype, microphone doesn't work. I can hear people, they can't hear me. I tried everything, all options available, but I couldn't turn it on. Not sure if these two are related
Anyhow, I hope to hear from you soon. Manyyyyyyyyyyy thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • [Solved] No sound (only headphones) on Thinkpad X200 Tablet

A few years ago, I installed Arch on a Thinkpad X200 Tablet, and everything was fine until a few day ago the HD had to be replaced. I was happy with system and the only think I remember being a headache was the touchscreen.
With the new HD, I decided to reinstall and not keeping config files, for a complete fresh start. One of the first things I did was setup sound, as it was really easy and worked just out-of-box with ALSA. After that, I installed some apps and the DE (Gnome this time, I've been previously working with only a WM, Awesome). I remeber even watching and listening a flash video with no problems.
Today, I keep installing some tweaks: GDM, laptop-tools, HDAPS, setting a console font... and suddenly, I noticed sound was not working anymore. Looked at alsamixer, and everything looks fine. Booting on init level 3 the problem persists, so it's not a Gnome issue. I tried blacklisting the more recent modules and daemons, but no sound. I tried plugging some headphones, and hey, the headphones work!
After reviewing the Arch wiki, Thinkwiki, googling, and trying several workarounds (most of them settings at modprobe.conf, and unmutting everything), I'm still with no sound, and very puzzled for the situation. I would greatly appreciate any help on this, or any clue to keep researching.

Hola joseperezc, thank you for the recommendations.
    Installing alsa-oss -> Nothing changes.
    pcspkr is loaded by default:
    $ lsmod |grep pcspkr
    pcspkr 1367 0
I also tried blacklisting it, but no results.
    I also tried this conf:
    $ cat /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
    options snd slots=snd-hda-intel
    alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
    options snd-hda-intel model=auto
    options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1
    But still no sound.
    Btw, atm I have:
    $ pacman -Qs alsa

An alternative implementation of Linux sound support
    local/alsa-utils 1.0.24.2-1
An alternative implementation of Linux sound support
I also tried muting the SPDIF channels (I read that sometimes if they are enabled, the conflict with analog output), but no changes. And the sad thing is that it was working before... I'm thinking on uninstalling everything step by step...

  • ThinkPad X200 7455-D8G not booting, just beeps

    Hi All
I've bought a brand new ThinkPad X200 7455-D8G. I also obtained the Windows XP downgrade disks. So here is what happened: I switched it on. Created a Vista Recovery disk. Insert the Windows XP recovery disk. It ran through the whole process using disk 1. Then it said I must reboot to complete the recovery.
I continue to reboot - and that was it. Now there is nothing coming on on the display and it give 1 long beep and 2 short beeps.
I've removed the battery... left it out and put it back - Still the same.
I've removed the memory and put it back - Still the same.
    Anyone with some ideas???
    Thanks

according to Lenovo, this problem either originates in system board, dimm or LCD connection.

  • ThinkPad X200 recommended 3.22-1.07 BIOS settings?

I updated the BIOS on my new used ThinkPad X200 Model 7459DW1 and need to know what the recommended settings are.  The BIOS version is now 3.22-1.07 .
I probably should have just left it alone becuse I had to disconnect the CMOS battery to get it to start.
    It runs fine now.
No need for replies because there isn't to set.  I enabled the two virtual CPU options.

Quote from: aprice on 18-June-08, 04:49:31
I am currently running BIOS v1.4 for my K9A2 Platinum v1.
I have been having stablility issues overclocking my system to 2.75 or beyond. Main issue is just a random freeze. This happens typically when there is very litle load or just idling. When under heavy load or stress testing, system works great (@ 2.75 or 2.8). I have tried numerous HT/Multi combinations of settings trying to resolve the problems. Voltage tweaks seem to have no effect, so they are all set to Auto. I may just have a chip that cannot not OC very well. I am ok with that, but want to exhaust as many possiblities as I can.
From reading on the web, it appears that many people are having better luck with the 1.3 BIOS version. However, I did not think that 1.3 recognized the 9850 processor. Can I use 1.3 on my setup and is it "recommended"?
Thanks for any assistance. I did not know if this topic should go here or in the Overclocking forum.
I have the same issue but when playing video, I decreased the overclock (sucks I know) and the system seemed to stabilized. Though I have a version 2 of the board.

  • Where is the thinkpad x120e SSD TRIM driver?

i have a thinkpad x120e and i recently upgraded the harddrive to a OCZ agility 3 SSD. i read this post here to get the AMD SATA drivers, however the links are dead, i tried searching on the AMD site with no results, where can I get these drivers so I can enable TRIM on my SSD?
here is the post I was talking abou with the dead linkst: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/X120e-hard-drive-replacement/td-p/398635/page/...

    Hello,
I had found the page a while ago when I went hunting for the latest drivers from AMD for my X120e.  I believe that the X120e has a chipset which performs similar to AMD's 700 or 800 series chipset, but has been optimized for use with the E-Series CPU in terms of power management, probably due to a more efficient manufacturing process (just a guess on my part).
I installed all of the packages on my ThinkPad X120e. No problems noted after doing so.
