ThinkVantage, Productivity Center

How do I get the ThinkVantage software, mainly Productivity Center, downloaded to my IdeaCentre K210, 5313-4CU? It looks like it is for ThinkCenter's only?

go into registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LENOVO\PRDCTR\Data\QuickLink\Order
and check what is the value of following reg key, when the issue is present: SetDefault
This key should stay on "1" if the QuickLaunch is activated.
Let me know what is your value, when the issue is present.
Till now I'm not aware of any issue/bug like this.

ThinkVantage Productivity Center menu not keeping custom Quick Links

Hi,
When I open ThinkVantage Productivity Center, the menu is changed and does not contain my customized menu choices.
Opening the Customization Utility I see my Quick Links selections are still there.
I press "Okay" and when I return to ThinkVantage Productivity Center, the menu is now correct.
When I return tomorrow, it will have forgotten my custom settings again.
Is this a bug?
using (latest as of this posting) TPC version 3.11.

Has anyone created a T43 version of Help Center for Productivity Center?

Just curious. Running Windows Se7en Ultimate on a 2Gig T43 (2668) and everything works great. (The 40 Gig drive is half full, but when I can find a larger hard drive mfg. that doesn't give me 2010 error, then I'll upgrade. I know, lotsa luck with that! Heh heh.)
Loaded the T43's IBM Access application - works fine, but it's support links are way out of date. Productivity Center is great, but I'm just missing T43 Help Center to make it complete.
Overall, I'm impressed that my *dated* T43 still kicks butt with Windows Se7en and is rock solid performance-wise (not to mention it has outlasted 3 Dell Inspirons).
Vista never really worked all that well on the T43 and ran sluggish, crashed, etc. Windows Se7en - took to the T43 like a fish to water and it runs like a champ.
Life is just one big "Beta Test"
Happy owner of a T43 (Windows 7) and T23 (Windows XP)

TV Productivity Center 3.11 Question

I have a TP T61p with XP SP3 fully patched in both Win/TVSU environments.
When I choose the Welcome Quick Link from the Productivity Center the choices shown are:
Access Connections
Active Protection System
Client Security Solution
Rescue and Recovery
System Update
All choices take me to the TV solution EXCEPT when I try to launch Access Connections. Nothing happens.
Of course I can to the Maintenance choice from the Resource Center and choose Update my system but I'm curious as to why TVAC does not launch from the Welcome choice screen.

I believe the way AC integrates into Productivity Center is through a DLL that should be located in C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\ConnectUtilities called LPAC4.dll. I don't have an XP machine I can check the exact filename on. However, you should be able to see in the registry at:
HKLM\Software\Lenovo\ProdCenter\Client\AcCon
a value named LPDLLName and it will have a path to the file it expects to find in order to populate the links in Productivity Center.
Of course, as you mentioned, you probably interact with AC more through the task tray than through Productivity Center so it may not be worth much debugging effort.

ThinkVantage Productivity Centre-Is it pre-loaded on Lenovo Win7 Disk?

HI all, I've had refurbished IBM Thinkpads for the last ten years and, as my Thinkpad 600X began to die a slow death, I felt it was time to seriously upgrade to a Lenovo, so I got myself a T410 and it's a great machine. It's probably more computer than I need, but then I'll probably use it until it disintegrates.
The thing is that it came loaded with WinXP, which is fast becoming prehistoric, so I was thinking of loading on the Lenovo Win7 Professional CD that came with it.
However, since this will be a clean install, does this mean that I will lose the Thinkvantage Productivity Centre program that came pre-installed with the computer?
And if I do lose it, is it available to download free from Lenovo?
FULL DISCLOSURE- I'm a Gen X'er and computers really kicked in by the time I was too old to learn new tricks. So, my apologies if this query comes across as a real newb question.

Start with the operating system recovery media disc first then it would prompt for the next disc set.
But i remember there should be a Rescue and Recovery Disc.
Did you this disc package from Lenovo?
Before you go ahead and do this update, you should make a set of XP pro recovery media discs, you can do this by going under start->program->thinkvantage->create product recovery media. This should create two disc set, which is exactly like the Win 7 Recovery discs that you got, so if you ever feel like recovering back to the original win xp OS, you can use that.
1. Put the disc in and restart the laptop, and see whether that starts the whole recovery procedure.
2. (You may need to go into your bios, press F1 during the initial laptop startup. Once you are in the bios menu select startup, then change the boot order to make the cd drive first in the list, by pressing F5/F6 to change the listing). Now save and exit the bios.
3. The laptop should reboot now and you should able to get into the Rescue and Recovery console, now select the recovery back to factory condition, and do a full restore, this should load all the discs and you just have to follow the prompt.
P.S. How did you get the Win 7 OS recovery media, as the Win XP pro loaded laptop don't ship with the Win 7 OS recovery media.

I want to view a User Manual for a T60 (recently purchased used) but cannot find the Help Center. Went to Start, All Programs, ThinkVantage but the only link there is for Fingerprint Software. The ThinkVantage button does not function. Any suggestions?

Can I play Game Center Games with other family members sharing one Apple ID

I have several IOS devices sharing the same Apple ID that my sons and wife use. I have set up a game center account using that ID and can find no way that we can play head to head games on those multiple devices against each other using that one Apple ID login, even if I create multiple Nicknames. Am I missing something?

An Apple ID is just an account that uses an email address and password. It does not have to be tied to iTunes. You can create one here. Create one each for your sons and wife.

How can I enable the center mouse click to open and close tabs in Firefox and Chrome?

I have a MacBook Pro Model A1261 purchased in 2009. On my other mac at work (and my PC) I can center click to open a link in a new tab while in Chrome or FireFox, and also to close a tab by clicking on it in the tabs at the top. I am using an external USB mouse on my MacBook Pro and when I click the center scroll wheel it brings up the dashboard. I looked in the settings but wasn't able to find a way to change that setting for the center button to open and close tabs in my web browser. Is there a way? Please help!

You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.

GR/IR account not shown in profit center report

Dear all
I have created GR/IR accont, when there is transaction use these account the profit center is appear, but why when i run profit center line item report there is no posting from GR/IR and in S_ALR_87009722 report .there is no posting from GR/IR new Account but the old account is appear?
in old GR/IR account i dont thick the open item management, but ini new account i have thick open item management.

Your question is not clear...
1. Did you assign new GR/IR account in OBYC - WRX?
2. Which PCA you use . New GL PCA or Classical PCA?
3. If you use Classical PCA, then GR/IR line item wont appear in PCA reports.. You need to run T codes 1KE* at period end

BW Analysis authorization issue on cost center range

I have a problem where I created an analysis authorization on a cost center range and it looks like the interval is not working. The report is just a list of cost centers (demo to users to prove that analysis authorizations work in order to skip 2 managerial cost centers.
. Cost centers are numeric. Example: 2000100. In the drop down list they appear as such.
. I want to have the following cost center range: 1000000 to 1000771, 1000773 to 2000771, 2000773 to 9999999.
Thereofore 1000772 and 2000772 should not appear in the list.
. In the analysis authorization I have put the 3 ranges above on 3 separate lines. 'BT' is the operator. The cost centers have been selected from the drop down list.
Results: I get only 1 record from the report.... 2000772. (which is one I want to exclude..
Steps tried to debug:
. When I put a list of cost centers in the analysis authorization on separate line with the 'EQ' operator, then the report works.
. I tried putting ' ' delimiters since cost center is a char field but it fails.
. I tried adding leading and trailing zeros to fill up the char(10) but no luck.
. I tried creating a hierarchy with the interval and put it in the hierachy auth. tab and it does not work either. It gives the same number of records than the first step.
. A hierarchy with single values work.
I do not know what else to try..

How can I replace an older save file with a new one on game center?

I have been trying to change an older game saved file that I have created with my old Ipad with the new one that I have created on my new Ipad, both game files are played under my apple ID but I have no idea how to replace my older one with the new one.
The new file is superior to the old one so I wish to add the new saved file to my game center.
The game I am playing is Clash of Clans both file are created on apple products.
Let me know if there is a sulotion for that case.

You said you restored your iPod. Did you restore from backup? If yu did then yur game progress and Game Center stuff should have beeb restored.
