Thinpad External Battery Charger

Anyone use or have used the External Battery Charger?  I'm interested to know if it charges the battery to 100% or charges to the custome settings I have set in Power Manager?

it charges to 100%. As far as i know the power manager setting is stored in the laptop motherboard bios.

Apple does make external chargers for their machines, do a little research before you post:

  • External Battery Charger Absolutely Amazing

So I bought the external battery charger for 49$ (In Canada) and it is a spectacular addition.  I no longer am stuck to a wall at any point!!!!  Great price point even if it was double for what it yields.  I once saw a band manager on a major european tour and he had employed this strategy brilliantly, always connected for his employers.  Properly executed any buisness person can always be within reach (if they want to) or connectivity without being forced to remain in a stagnant location.  I priced it out shortly after I saw this (about 5 years ago), with the phone I was using at the time and it was around 50$ then, and that was with a crappy, bulky external charger.  This one is sleek (love the flip open case) compact, which give it the ability to store in a sleeve of any briefcase, suit jacket pocket or desk drawer.  It also connects to phone if you want to top up both at the same time if you were going encounter an extended period of time without a power outlet.  (Rarely happens these days but long travel and delays could force you to need a good deal of time with solid use without requiring an outlet, well if you want to conduct business or enjoy the luxury of correspondence with family.) If you do not want any of these stay away from this product ha ha. I will eventually buy a second one with charging cord for my office and with one at home and one at the office I am connected like the matrix.  Thanks blackberry for a great accessory!!!!!!

My battery charger bundle should be delivered this week... can't wait to get it!

  • External battery charger for Lumia 1520

I was looking for an external battery charger but all of them are either 1.0A or 2.1A.
Since Lumia 1520's charger is 1.5A, is there any brand of external battery fit the requirement?
Is it safe to charge Lumia 1520 with an external battery with output=2.1A?
    Thanks!

Agreed, those power packs are great to have as an extra power supply when you know you're going to be out and about for extended periods.
Recently I got myself one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BJCHH36/

  • Need compatible external Battery charger

    Hi all,
I have a problem where I cannot use the AC Adaptor to charge my HP Pavilion G60 laptop.  I tried replacing the Power Jack but that did nothing.
Since my HP is out of warrenty, I think the next best step would be to use an external battery charger and just run the laptop off the battery.  I saw a few on web but do not know which one is compatible.
    I am using HP p/n: 484170-001.
    Thanks!

    Hi
I found an Toshiba battery charger adapter for slice expansion battery pack.
    The part number is PA3528U-1ETC.
But Im not sure it this part is compatible with your battery.
You could try to visit some notebook online dealers for more information about such part or ask an service provider in your country because as far as I know the guys could check this part in the hardware list.

  • External Battery Charger compatible with 68/68+ batteries for X240?

Can anyone confirm if the 68/68+ batteries for the X240 are compatible with the ThinkPad External Battery Charger (40Y7625)?
Also, will the same external charger work with the Lenovo 65W DC Travel Adapter?
I'm looking to establish a field location powered entirely by solar so would like to have a spare 68+ battery charging on solar (via straight DC without an Inverter for the AC adapter if possible).
    Thanks!

  • Which external battery(charger) do You suggest for iPhone 5 ?

The battery discharge soon, so I need an external battery that can charge my battery to 100% FAST without any AC power!

I take the Trent Power Pack with me when I travel. I can usually get 5-6 charges out of the thing before it needs to be recharged.

  • External Battery Charger for Macbook 13inch

I took my macbook to the Apple store because it wouldn't charge anymore. The charger and battery are fine. They told me it was the logic board which would cost over $300 since my warranty ran out 80 days ago. I searched for some external chargers and found some but not for this specific battery. Does anybody know if they make an external charger for the macbook white 13 inch? Device name on the battery is ASMB016.

OK, but I'm not sure why? I don't believe there is a charger to hook directly to the battery, but if such an animal exists you might find it be doing a Google search. Also check out newertech.com, macsales.com, and quickertek.com.

  • Does someone make a external battery charger?

  • T440s External Battery not Charging

    Hello there,
I have about a week ago bought a Lenovo T440s from a 3rd party seller. Contrary to what was stated in the manual, the external battery was already plugged in when I opened the box. The first thing I did was to charge the computer before turning it on. The external battery has not been charging at all now for over week, despite my best efforts. I have tried the fix of Deactivating the battery drivers etc, yet it doesn't seem to have worked. Has anyone experienced something similar and can tell me what the problem is? Is it the battery or computer? And is there any way it can be fixed without sending it back to the shop?

  • T23 Battery not charging, strange battery/charger behavior

I have an old T23. Two months ago it suddenly stopped charging the battery. It seems as an IC problem. Therefore, I decided to buy an external battery charger (ThinkPad Multiple Battery Charger II, P/N: 22P9040), and a new battery, since the old one could drive the T23 for less than, say, 15 minutes.
After receiving the charger and a new battery (from two different suppliers in USA), I found a strange problem: the old battery is charging normally, but operates for 15 minutes, or less, and the new one is not charging - the orange light flashes permanently.
After that, I decided to buy another new battery, this time from Hong Kong, but the whole story repeated.
    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  • I need to buy an external battery solar charger for my iPad 2. Does anyone have the specifications for it, such as  volts, miliamperes, amperes, etc ??

I Want to buy an external  solar battery charger for my iPad 2. Does anyone know the right specifications for it.
Is this one good for me ? 12000mAh Portable Solar Power Battery Pack. You can find it on this link.
    http://dx.com/p/12000mah-portable-solar-power-battery-pack-with-laptop-cellphone -adapters-72218?item=37
    Thanks.

The iPad charger is rated at 10W - 5V @ 2A  An iPhone/iPod charger is rated at 5W - 5V @ 1A. An iPhone charger will charge the iPad, but much slower than the iPad charger. Based on the specs, I don't think it's adequate for the iPad.

  • Which output put  should i use with my external battery to charge my ipad mini?

    Hi,
I just bought an external battery (anker astro 2) and it comes with two output ports 1A and 2A. Which port should i use to safely charger my ipad mini?

Either one will work just fine.  Circuitry in the iPad controls how much actual current is going to the battery.  The 2A port will take less time to fully charge the battery.

  • Charging iPAD Battery from External Battery

    Question:
When you plug in a Hypermac (third battery) battery to an iPad, does it charge the iPad, or does the iPad run from the external battery.
I have seen documentation that says, if the iPad battery is dead (less than 10%), then the external battery will charge the iPad to a "certain level", and then the iPad will run from the external battery.
Can anyone provide guidance and or Technical documentation regarding this ?
    thanks,
    Wilson

Yes the iPad expects a constant voltage input of 5 Volt. The maximum charge current is 2.1 Ampere. The internal battery is charged by an intelligent charger, there is no direct connection between the external power and the iPad battery. Charging Lithium based batteries isn't trivial. Below a certain voltage the charge current has to be pretty low. When the battery is completely drained the charger will start with a lower rate. Once it reaches a certain voltage the full 2.1 Amp are charging the battery. As the internal battery is 'filling up' the voltage goes up. Once it reaches a certain level (4.2 or something around that, depending on temerature) the charger has to reduce the current (Ampere) gradually to make sure the internal battery's voltage never goes beyond that level. Letting it go higher is what makes those batteries explode.
All this is completely separate and independent of the external power supply. The iPad expects a constant 5 Volt and it will draw as much current as it needs or the supply allows. All external batteries that are sold as i-device chargers have a regulated output. The output voltage is constant (5 Volt) regardless of the battery level or voltage. The majority of these have a 500 mA or 1 A limit, only a few newer models are now equipped with regulators that are capable of 2 Amp. So only those will allow the iPad to charge as fast is it's possible. But again, the output is a regulated constant voltage.
I'm pretty sure the iPad would not even start charging if the external power is an unregulated source like a direct connection to a battery.

  • Can anyone recommend a powerbook external battery pack or charger?

I found two products on google, but i know nothing about them. has anyone tried these, or know of something better?
    this is an external battery-

(they also have a bigger one that gives 122 watt hours).

There are several such products on the market - but keep in mind that they often have a limited life span - something like 2000 cycles of charge/discharge. depedning on where you are using the system you might consider getting a power cord with plugs for car and airplane connectors - or get a DC to AC inverter. Belkin.com has a couple of inverters and coupon code 12345 shoudl get you 40% off their list price.
