Third N8, Same problem - Help please
Okay... So I just got my new N8 (3rd N8) and it has the same problem as my previous two.
And the problem is, I'll try to be brief, I guess you've seen a couple of threads on this problem.
Basically dark parts of videos/images looks brown, and also the videos look kind of pixelated.
This really bothers me a lot... But I don't know what to do really.
This seems to be a big problem if I got 3 phones with the same problem??
Do you think there is any chance that this can be fixed with future firmware updates? Or is it actually something wrong with my screen? I have no idea!
The people at the store where I bought it from will probably think I'm crazy if I call them again and say there is something wrong with this phone aswell...
Edit: Oh that was weird, I think? I just started OVI Store for the first time on this phone, when I clicked "log in/create account" it said "welcome back xxxxxxx(random username)" This was definitely not my username. And this is my first time using the phone... I don't know.. .. . . . ..
Okay here it is. It was pretty hard to get a good picture with my camera but you can see the problem at the top (Tron Legacy visual effects).
I think that is the place where you can see it the most, but there is a brown tint on most of the video.
And as I said this does not only happens to this video, also pictures and other videos of course.
And also this phone's analog clock is half pink/purple, That does not bother me at all though. But all three N8's I've had now with the "brown problem" also had the purple clock.
And an N8 at a store I compared mine to, did not have any problems with videos, and the clock was completely black.
I noticed you can't really see the brown in this picture but it is there... at the top.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

when I try to install the 'GOOD for enterprise" app, I am getting error 0x100001 during retireve settings step. I followed the step of reloading the OS to fix this as suggested in another thread but even after that I have the same problem. Please help.

i am not getting notification on most of my apps, e.g twitter and facebook...except i go to the app and refreshed manually. its an iphone 4 and running on ios5...i have gone through everything and its still the same..help please........
I seem to be having the same problem on my brand new iPhone 4S. Everything was working fine on the phone until I updated to iOS 5.1.1, but now I no longer receive push notifications for the native Mail app, Instagram, or the Facebook app. I still seem to be receiving SMS texts and iMessages via push, but the aforementioned apps need to be opened before I can receive missed notifications (having them open in the background seems to make no difference).

Hello.I wanted to upgrade my iPad 1 to iOS 5.1 Over the Air.I was running iOS 5.0.1.It said it had an error connecting to server.It is already 5 hours i cant install this update.I also have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 with the same issues.Help please!
You're probably running into the servers simply being swamped. Thousands of people are all going for the software update at the same time. Give it a try again and if that doesn't work, then try plugging it into your computer and trying it that way.
I didn't get a notion of the size, it doesn't seem to be as big as the 700 meg 5.0 update, but it did take me 20+ minutes to download via cable internet so it's a large file. That in and of itself takes a while.
If you're trying to download it directly to your iPhone, you'll need to be on wifi since I'm sure it's well over the 20 meg file size limit for 3G. -
I am living and working here in the sultanate of Oman. Its been two days that I have not been able to use viber on my iPhone unless I use VPN. I talked to colleagues who have iPhones and other apple devices and they said they are also experiencing the same problem. I tried to call up my service provider (NAWRAS) and they informed me that the problem is not on their side, that they have not blocked the app. Surprisingly, when I asked my colleagues using samsung, they said the app is working just fine. What seems to be the problem? Are the codecs (I hope I am using the right terms here) used by viber now are similar to that of the other messaging blocked apps like Tango, weChat and skype?
Please help us on this. Thank you!Maybe its a Viber problem. As that is not an Apple product, why don't you try and contact the developer?

Second Macbook, Same PROBLEM!, please help!!
this is my second macbook because the other one i had had a stuck pixel from the moment i opened it, now 6 weeks on to my second one i have 2 stuck pixels!, what can i do? i have tried all the "fixers" but didnt work!, i have searched and searched for an email to apple or something!, can anyone help me?
I had the same problem ( 1 pixel missing) apple replaced mine because it was still within the two week period after i bought the macbook (2 week validation period).
They will only replace the macbook if it has i belive 5 or more pixels gone after the two week validation period.

Hi I have my Mac which works off OS X Yosemite, I have photos stored on an SD card inserted in a port off my Epson printer which is attached via usb. I cannot get photos across to the library on the Mac am also having the same problem getting photos off a newly purchased Samsung S4 mobile onto the Mac could someone with a bit of technical know how please assist me ..thank You

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always. -
SoundBlaster Zx major problems help please!
I tryd 3 Soundblaster Zx,s so far and i still dont understand why i have this problem, my mainbord is a MSI Big Bang Xpower 2 my previous soundblaster was a X-Fi Fitality Titanium Pro so if seen the reviews of the Zx on the net i was really exited about it, but now comes the weird part my mainbord wont detect any of these cards! i tryd 3 so far and al 3 had the same problem its not detecting the card the first one was acually detcting it for 2 days after that one morning i booted the pc and there was the speaker with the red cross true it no soundcard detected, the second one did not regonize the card @ all, and the third one was the same thing i tryed updating to the latest bios i tryd resetting cmos i tryd really everything i could think of, i realy need help with this so someone from creative please look further into this because this is a combination thats not working well i think

MSI boards, Intel at least, seem to hold onto data, can be a bit of a PITA to clear the bios & update. Folks in the forum recommend not just using the reset button if you have one, or using the reset jumper, but pulling the battery for a while -- if the date's reset you know it was cleared -- if not than you only got at best a partial clear or reset. For updating the bios they recommend a tool & procedure you'll find in the forum, & they have a separate section with beta bios that might also help.
Also, I'm not familiar with your m/board, but you might want to double check the manual etc... My board for example has 2 pci-e slots [beside the 3 for graphics cards], but only one can be used at any one time. -
2nd Generation Ipod Touch Problem- Help please!

I have a brand new ipod touch 2nd generation and when I start a podcast, only on occassion, the play icon in the top right corner blinks very rapidly and the podcast does not play at all. It as as though the ipod touch is playing and stopping play of the podcast at very high speeds! When I push the home button, and try to get back into my music list, the same problem occurs. When I hit the home button, the arrow for play is still blinking rapidly and then I have to restart my ipod touch. It is very frustrating as I can't play the podcasts that I have enjoyed on my ipod classic!

Try Resetting Network Settings on the iPhone, go to Settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings.
How many characters are in the WEP password? You'll want to use a 5 or 13 character WEP password to improve compatibility with all devices, or switch to WPA2 personal.

K8N Neo2-fx Ram problem Help please
I have three ram(2x512MB single sided , 1x1GB double sided). Is there any way I can put them all on the motherboard? When I place them all the computer is not starting and it`s making a "beep" every 2-3 seconds. If i connect the 1GB double sided on the Dimm1(green) and the one 512MB single sided on the Dimm3(green) it`s working properly. Is there any way I can use all my ram at the same time. I`m desperate. Help please... thank you

That's the rule mate which you need to gives all your component in details including your PSU and Bios revision so that others can help you! Like what BOSSKILLER say it won't works with 3 DIMMS unless you purhased another 1 GB of RAM then it can solve your problem with 4 DIMMS or else with 2*512MB RAM. Make sure that you've lowered your HT to <=800Mhz as default is 1000Mhz. GD luck. -

SQL 2.0 and CVI 5.5 Problem - Help please!

I have recently updated to CVI 5.5. Over the last week I have been update
my programs to 5.5. However, I am having problems with the SQL toolbox -
more specifically the "DBImmediateSQL" function. When the line of code runs

I am stuck, as this program has been running in 5.0.1 for about a year.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

After some discussion with the folk from NI, we discovered that it was
caused by the installation of SP4 for MSVS. I found I had to reverse all
changes made by this upgrade to the OBDC and database access. Once this was
done, I reloaded an older version and things worked fine.

I continue to have messages popping up saying my computer is infected. It wants me to cleanup and I have to register with Mac Shield 2.6. Pronograhic websites keep popping up. Anyone having this problem? Did not have this problem yesterday, but it's here today! There is also a Red Sheild on the top of the toolbar where it shows the time, battery life, etc. Right clicking on the sheild drops down Scan Now, Cleanup, Control Center, Scan, System Info, Settings, About, and Register. A pron site just popped up again! Need help Please!!

Your exactly right, it is possible that if you visit a site and need the scripts to run for something that the malware that uses Javascript is on that site, then your going to be presented with it.
The thing is with the Firefox + NoScript combination defeats alot of the web side trickery the malware authors are using to get the malware to appear in the first place.
Also this "MacDefender" isn't the only malware making the rounds. There are some serious Flash vulnerabilities being hosted on hostile/adult websites that are running scripts for no apparent reason other than to try to infect your machine.
By running all scripts all the time, your computer is in a state as if you tried running across a busy highway blindfolded.

As a example, I surf thousands of web pages a day, some on really nasty sites, yet I haven't seen this "MacDefender" appear on my computer. Even when I purposely visited links that people have submitted that had the malware. (I maintain a couple of bootable clones of my boot drive just in case)
