Third Party Capturing Program Quality

I was wondering if anyone knows:
I was interested in capturing in either Sorenson, or Scenalyzer, instead of in Premiere itself. I was wondering if anyone knows about either one, and if the capture quality will be as good as in Premiere.
Thank You.

>Would you mind explaining this comment? That's awfully cryptic. What problems have you found, and what applications are better?
Would you mind doing a little searching on the forums? It shouldn't take much time to find posts discussing the problems with HDV capturing.
The primary problem is the audio and video being out of synch. I've captured over 3 dozen tapes using CS3 and not a single one of them was usable. Either the audio was out of sync or the clips wouldn't sync up using the multi-cam features.
Yet every single one of those tapes captured fine with another program and was edited in Premiere Pro CS3 without the sync problems.
Vegas, HDVSplit, even Premiere Pro 2.0 are examples of better applications. Like I said, ANY application is better than CS3 right now.
Luckily Adobe has reproduced the audio/video sync problem and probably fixing it it...

  • Looking for a third-party affiliate program that will integrate well with Adobe Business Catalyst.

    Dear Adobe Community,
I am looking for a third-party Affiliate Program that will integrate well with the Adobe Business Catalyst platform.
The requirement is fairly basic, i.e.,  to track multiple affiliates and down-stream affiliate-to-affiliate referrals. Also looking to report and display these referrals an affiliate’s dashboard.
We have looked into Affiliate Program Software, Affiliate Tracking Software Marketing and would like to entertain other options before making a decision.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! —Thank You!
    Kind Regards,

For what it is worth, I am a fan of NuGen, I have both SEQ 1 and 2 and two stereo enhancing tools (stereoizer and stereoplacer I think they're called). Since I have the SEQ 1 it replaces all Channel EQ's. And the stereotools sound great and very lush, in stead of the more usual cheezy combfilterthingies that pass for stereo enhancing tools.
And I actually like the interfaces. Simple, but stylish, functional and ergonomic (in this case meaning you can see all parameters in a quick glance, no guessing at settings).

  • Third-party Geocoding Program

    Dear All,
I am looking for a Third-party Geocoding Program to integrate our TM 8.0 system. Do you have any suggestion for that?
    Regards,

I would start with IGS, but look at the following SAP Notes for more information:
458731 Internet Graphics Service: Main Note
454042 IGS: Installing and Configuring the IGS
1135220 Installing IGS together with PTV servers
1159083 Properties of the Windows standalone IGS
1403895 SAPGISXML: IGS / PTV interface configuration
793473 Applying a patch for Windows standalone IGS
844669 Profile parameter of IGS as of Version 7.x
There is also a CSA Deployment Accelerator white paper detailing the GIS integrations with TM using ALK's PCMiler application.  PCMiler is more than just Geo-Coding.  If you have some interest in this, let me know.

  • Third party security program for Macs?

    Hello!
I'm wondering if there's a preferred third party program for security on a Mac?
What I'm looking for is something that functions similarly to zonealarm, in that it alerts you to what's coming into or going OUT of your computer.

  • Is there a third party trasistion program like hollywood fx for cs6 ??

I need some transistions like hollywood fx - is there a third party plug in for adobe premier pro cs 6.01?

its not the "L shape" that holds it better rather the higher GAUSS rating on the older connector.
Apple redesigned the NEW magsafe to be weaker AND of a diff. design with lower neodymium magnetic gauss rating for a reason
people at coffee shops etc were getting their macbooks yanked to the ground when someone tripped over the cord.
The new neodymium is a N35 gauss and the older Lshape was N40 or N45 gauss (too tight)
I know what youre talking about, but Apple redesigned it that way for several good reasons, despite it "coming out easier" on the bed for which ,
as Apple Inc. states, it is "not intended to be used" (nor in laps, couches...etc.)

  • What is a list of the best third party LabVIEW programming training books

I am interested in learning labView, starting with the basics. What book titles and authers are recommended?
Here are a couple of book titles & authers I see listed as Top Sellers:
"LabView for Everyone" by Jim Kring
" Hands on Introduction to LabView for Scientists and Engineers" by John Essick
"LabView Graphical Programming" by Gary W Johnson
    "Hspan.jajahWrapper { font-size:1em; color:#B11196; text-decoration:underline; } a.jajahLink { color:#000000; text-decoration:none; } span.jajahInLink:hover { background-color:#B11196; }

I started with LabView about 9 months ago, as an absolute beginner, i am still an infant in this environment.
I worked with 'LabVIEW for Everyone' and 'LabVIEW Graphical Programming'. I have also used 'LabVIEW Advanced Programming'. I have bought but not really used 'The LabVIEW Style Book'. I tend to refer back to the middle two (Graphical programming and Advanced Programming). 'LabVIEW for Everyone' is an easy start point but i had problems disciplining my self to work through all the examples. The Advanced Programming book was not as advanced as i thought it might be, covering ground pretty much from the basics.
I have found that many of the queries i have had have required extensive use of this forum and the LabVIEW help/support pages, and soon seemed to progress beyond the books. Inevitably the books are limited in the depth and scope that they cover. I have also used the manuals successfully, tutorials less so.
Broadly, i have experienced several plateaus of enlightenment, first off was the basic functionality, the graphical data flow the core of what i suppose  LV  originally was. The second has been the non-graphically-obvious parts, property nodes, locals etc. The third has been the functions to do with building larger applications with multiple subVIs, application controls, globals, syncronisation, interfacing with the host OS etc. -Further deviations from the graphical data flow. Currently i am looking at standalone applications (Application Builder does not always work quite as advertised with larger apps?) and have not really begun to look at the web/network possibilities. The graphical data flow paradigm does not fit particularly well with parts of these later areas, but they are what turns LabVIEW in to a powerful language rather than a lab focussed tool (IMHO). The books have tended to focus on the first and second areas, cover a bit of the 3rd, and a bit less of the rest... but invaluable to get me going.

  • Third Party music programs

Is there any way to move music to the iPod from programs other than iTunes? Some music I have will not go into iTunes and if I drag it into the iPod I cannot find or play it.

If iTunes won't accept the files then they're not going to be compatible with the iPod... Even if you hack a library entry to point to your target file, it won't play because iTunes doesn't have the correct codec. The iPod has a subset of the codecs used by iTunes, so just getting your file on to the iPod won't help. If you are to get anywhere you will need to find a 3rd party transcoder to convert the file into something that iTunes/iPod can handle, mp3 or aac. Can your other program burn out to CD? If so, burn & rip...

  • Third party remittance Error

    Hi
While running the third party remittance program PC00_M99_URME - Evaluate remittance (New)
I am getting the error "No entry in table T51RK for key 00000"   There is no remittance rule 00000 which I have defined. Nor this entry is present in the table.  but I am getting the message
THere is one more messga e which I am getting "No entry in table 3 for key 90000001 20.06.2008"
This 90000001 entry is in the HR payee table but this entry is not linked to any of my vendor or wage types. when I delete this entry I still get this message.
Any clue ?? Is there a note ?

It sounds like you have the wage type tied to third-party remittance via table T512W, processing classes 73 and 78.  Do you want this wage type to remit and it is generating an error or are you getting the error and do not intend to remit?

  • Sync to Outlook/Exchange-Third party conduit required?

I am retiring my Palm OS PDA to replace with iphone. When syncing the palm to Exchange-based Outlook, the palm desktop did not sync correctly and required that I use a third-party software such as Chapura for the conduit. (Chapura was often bundled with the palm software and device).
With iphone syncing to Outlook on Exchange, will I need a third-party conduit program? Suggested conduit applications that have worked for anyone?
    Thanks much.

I do not believe so. I dont believe the iPhone could even utilize a third party conduit program. It should sync just fine. As of right now the iPhone will only talk to iTunes for means of syncing.
    Hope this helps.

  • 3rd party capture cards

I just got a new Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro to use with FCE, but it appears that FCE doesn't support any 3rd party capture cards.... or am I just not looking in the right place ?

You're correct. FCE does not support third party capture cards. You need FCP for that.

  • Third Party Programs for Motion on Stills

    Two questions:
Question 1: I am just starting with FCE but have been using Windows editing programs for a long time. I produce a lot of documentary programs that use mostly still photos with the "Ken Burns" effect. Unfortunately, I can't say that I'm especially impressed with the ease and quality with which that effect is accomplished in FCE.
In the past, I have used a stand alone/plug-in program called Moving Picture from Bill Ferster's Stage Tools to do this. Also unfortunately, his plug-in works only with Final Cut, not Express, and his stand-alone Producer application doesn't work with Intel processors on the Mac.
I have also used Imaginate from Canopus, but of course it is Windows only.
Does anybody know of another third party application, plug-in or stand-alone that will accomplish this easily in FCE witihout having to spend a bundle? I'll appreciate any information or suggestions.
Or maybe I'm just being too hard on the FCE program. I'd like to pan, zoom, and rotate, all at once with a GUI if possible. I know I'm asking a lot.
Question 2: If I am using mostly stills, both in the manner above and as stills only, and a very small amount (20%) of video, is it still important to have a separate media drive? I realize it all becomes Quick Time video in the long run, but I'm just wondering. My system drive has 500G with 412G available.
Since I have a Canon GL-1 camera would I have to download all my resources to the external drive before editing, including video and the original stills and graphics that have been processed in Photoshop?
If I need to do this, can somebody suggest a ready-to-go external firewire drive for my 24" iMac that won't break the bank? I'm going to have to buy a Canopus 110 converter also. The longest program I do is about 30 minutes. Thanks again.

    Jim,
I have used Photo To Movie, $50 from LQ Graphics <http://lqgraphics.com/software/phototomovie.php> in the past and found it relatively easy to use. The downside is you have to render/export your motion as a file to later import into FCE. Although I've done that, I now find it easier to work completely inside FCE.
If you need to make even the smallest change, it's fairly quick in FCE. But if you have to go back to PTM, you start the process over again with render/export/import.
Also, there is Pan Zoom Pro $50 from Lyric <http://www.lyric.com/fcp-plugins/panzoompro/pzp.htm>. It works as a plug in for FCE. I have it, but have not yet given it a try.
It did take some experimentation to get satisfactory movement in FCE. It does work. I don't have any problems with the quality once the motion is rendered. Here's a link to a short article by Tom Wolsky on motion control in FCE <http://www.fcpbook.com/MotionControl_inFCE.html>
