Third-party Lightroom 5 Book Templates: Where to find

Hi all,
I love the book module in Lightroom 5. I made a 240 page photobook last year and am working another one now.
For the me the great value is being able to link the source raw files directly into the book pages and to maintain full image control while doing it.
But I get ever so tired of the using the same built-in page templates over and over and over and over again.
I've seen references to editing/coding the "lua" files underlying the actual templates, but the discussions are vague.
Certainly someone out there in the vast internet has created some new book templates for Lightroom 5.
If so, could someone provide some recommendations?

Third Party Integration for Template Based Hire in PS 9.1

Hi All,
I am implementing template based hire on PS 9.1.
I am receiving the applicant details from a third party vendor in a xml message.
Requirement is to insert the applicant details into template based hire records (HR_TBH_HDR and HR_TBH_DATA).
I am able to subscribe the field values from xml message. But facing the problem while inserting the values into base records.
I am trying to use Component Interface on HR_TBH_JOB component. The pages on this component are dynamically build and so the records.
If anyone has worked on the third party integration for Template Based Hire in PS 9.1, please let me know your suggestion for insertion into template based hire records.

I am not getting any error message as I haven't completed the coding yet.
I will go more on the technical stuff so that the issue will be more clear.
I am using the Integration Broker setup to receive the xml message from third party.
I have written the app package and added that as handler into the service operation. as of now I am able to subscribe the xml message. I am having the field values into the variables.
For insertion of those values into template based hire (TBH) records (HR_THB_HDR and HR_TBH_DATA) I created a new CI on HR_TBH_JOB component.
But when I analysed this component I came to know that Pages, Sections on the Pages and the fields of the sections are dynamically build based on the Template.
On HR_TBH_DATA page PeopleSoft is using derived record (HR_TBH_SCR_WRK). Field values are assigned to this record fields bsaed on the section of the template.
Here is issue I am facing while coding. As there is only one record (HR_TBH_SCR_WRK) to store the all the values from the template, I am not able to understand that how to assign the variables to CI variable. I am looking for the logic, so that the CI will work normally.
If you have any sugestion to insert the data into TBH records other than using CI, will be appriciated.

Purchase Req for third party items on SO-where are required fields defined?

I have that issue where when a third party item is entered on a sales order, it goes on credit hold and when you release it, it tries to create a purch req but can't because of the required field - Val Price is not automatically filled in. I thought I could make the field not required by going to config and under purch
requistion>Define Screen layout at Doc level and changed the price and
unit option to optional instead of required but it still treats it like
a required entry. That config change only affected that field if creating a purch req from scratch, didn't affect if creating one from sales order third party item.

Many Third Party Apps crash when interacting with Finder

Hi everyone,
I am having a bit of an issue with OS X Mavericks v10.9.4.
Lately, whenever I try to do any 'Finder interactions' (Open, Save, etc) with third-party apps like Google Chrome, Brackets, and Photoshop*, it instantly shuts the program down, showing me a Problem Report, which doesn't really help me out, because I can't really understand it.
*Replicating the error is easy on both Google Chrome and Brackets, but not on Photoshop.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
          SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if iTunes crashed, you would enter "iTunes" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
In the Console window, select
          DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

I uploaded my ipod to a third party software and now I cant find the files.

I was having major problems syncing my ipod with iTunes so I used a third party software called "MediaWidget" to upload my data to itunes, it said it had succesfully uploaded and when i looked in itunes they were all there BUT I then restored my ipod and all data from it was erased when I tried to Sync it with Itunes the following error message came up...
"Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the ipod because they could not be found"
So I then selected some random songs in itunes and it said that the files could not be found. What has happened to my data? PLEASE HELP!

Hi,
It depends on the Item category as mentioned and as well as controlled by the resultant sched line category. Go into the item details, sched line screen and if you scroll to the right of the confirmed sched. line, you can see a Purcahse Requisition no. This also means that the next activity is carried out for sourcing the item.

Intrgrate third party bar code generator bean

Is it possible to integrate a barcode generator from a third party into reports server? I am evaluating the ones from www.idautomation.com and www.java4less.com since I need to generate barcodes not supported by the report's included bean.
Is there some documentation on how to configure both the reports server and Reports developer to use a third party barcode generator? Where could I find it?
Does anyone has hands-on experience with either of these products (or any other)?

I have been doing exactly that... but found some problems.
First, I did create a sample java program (actually the sample program was generated from a sample included in the third party bean). I did manage to run and generate barcodes from it. Problem is that some of the methods in the bean's interface are inherited from inner object, whose methods are not included in the package definition/body of the imported java class. The code in my report does compile but I get run-time errors whenever I try to run the bean.
Both products I am using render the brcode bit-map (either jpeg, gif or png) to an awt image object... but the sample included in the tutorial render the image to a temporary file and directs the report to include that image via a formula which reads the file into the report. Is that the only way to do it? I managed to do the same thing with the third-party bean but the report fails. Could Reports include the image without first saving it to a temporary file?
ANother thing I am facing (even with the tutorial's sample) is that the included package which is supposed to create a temporary file fails. This is, the line that creates the temporary file in the formula (starting with
myFileName := srw.create_temporary_filename;
Raises a run time error that prevents the report from running.
The very same thing occurs with the third party bean.
What could I do?

HR with third party app?

looks like Strava and Runkeeper apps on the watch don't display HR. Is Apple blocking the HR output for third party apps? I want to find a good app to track my runs and other cardio workouts but also want to display HR on the watch.

Cost in invoice in the case of third party drop ship scenario

Hello ALL
We have third party drop ship scenario where vendor drop ships the goods to customer on our behalf and once we get the confirmation from vendor we bill the customer. The sales order line has TAS item category. When we raise the invoice the cost and billing quantity (because billing quantity is 'E' in copy control) comes from the goods receipt. The PO is an import PO and has custom duty (delivery cost conditon) as well. The custom duty is significant and hence when we create billing doc from sales order we want the custom duty also to come along with the material pirce as cost to the billing doc. Currently, the billing doc has material price from goods receipt as cost.
Can we get both price and custom duty as cost through some config or some change in PO pricing schema? Or is there an user exit that can be used to manipuate the same?
This is a common scenario in India and hence if anybody has come across this already and can share the solution, it will be great.

Hi,
You can do like this.
Create a cost condition type ( copy of VPRS) and place it properly in the pricing procedure. sub total field must be B to collect the cost. Place a account key and maintain the G/L account for it also.
In the requirement you can develop a new requirement saying that in case of TAS item category system should check for the cost of the item from a PO, and you can get the total of customs and price to by writing a logic. To develop the program and logic discuss with your developer.

Item Category 'TAS' is used for Third Party Item.
Item Category 'TAB' is used for Indiv.Purchase Order.
You can find the detail settings on item category in transaction VOV7.

OIM 11g Plugin - Third Party Jars : Classloader issue

I am having a Plugins.zip under middleware/Oracle_IDM1/server/plugins folder. [OIM 11g R2]
This gets invoked from a schedule job.
I have third party Jars (axis.jar) within Plugins.zip/lib. My code within Plugins.zip calls Thrid Party APIs.
Now the issue is:
The APIs (within axis.jar) do not seem to find property files from within their own JARS.
These property files are within their own Third Party Jars and the Third Party APIs should be able to access them by default. I have tested these APIs from stand alone clients and web clients, they work perfectly.
But within the Plugins.zip, these third party APIs do not seem to find property files from within their own JARs.
Looks like some class loader issue. Something must be getting messed up in the way the Third Party JARs from within the Plugins.zip/lib are loaded.
Has anyone faced similar issue.
Any suggestions please?

I placed the required JARs under middleware/Oracle_IDM1/server/ThirdParty.
I also executed UploadJars utility for required JARs.
I have also added to server startup path : .../middleware/Oracle_IDM1/server/ThirdParty/axis.jar.
But I still get the following Error:

Please find the configurationsetting and reward point.
è     Based on the purchase order sent by the customer, SD department will raise a sales order.
è     Based on the general item category group of material entered by the system, the system will come to know that the material is a third party material.
·     General Item Category Group (BANS)
·     Item Category (TAS)
·     Schedule line Category (CS)
è     Based on the settings done for CS the system will automatically raise a Purchase Requisition and sends it to External Vendors.
è     Now MM Department based on the Purchase Requisition will raise Purchase Order and sends it to External Vendor
è     Now the Vendor will deliver the goods to the Customer and at the same time will send an Invoice to MM Dept.
è     As Physical goods received is by the customer and not by MM Dept, so Statistical goods receipt is done by MM for Document Purpose
è     Then Customer sends the Proof of Delivery (PoD) to the Company
è     MM dept compares the quantity received by the customer based on the PoD and the Corresponding Invoice received from the Vendor (Logistic Invoice Verification)
è     Now finally SD Dept send an invoice to the customer (Order Related Billing)
Note: In TAS category Billing Field is u2018Fu2019, which is billed for target quantity.
Third Party order process configuration
Step 1: Creation of material
Go for the SALES : SALES ORG 2 . view and give the BANS
Step 2 : Item Category TAS setting T.Code: VOV7.
Billing Relevance :F:     Order-related billing doc. - status according to invoice qty
Step 3: Schedule line Category CS setting.
Settings are      1.Order type: NB:
          2. Item Category: 5
          3. Acc. Assign. Cat 1:
Step 4: create a sales order
The sales order will pick up the item category: TAS
The item category TAS is picked because of the configuration done in the material master. Item category group BANS.
The schedule line category is CS.
Standard Order 43 11528 has been saved
Step 5:
Go for change mode of sales order (VA02). Select schedule line icon, in the new
Screen selects the procurement tab page. Note the purchase requisition and save.
Step 6: Create A purchase order ( Me21n). based on the purchase requisition.
in the above screen select the document overview on buttion. U will find the below screen.
when u select the variants , list will be displayed. In that select purchase requisitions, again a list will displayed of purchase requisition , select your purchase requisition and drag and drop in the net obove
When you drop the PR automatically the data will be picked up for the PR to PO and then save the PO.
Standard PO created under the number 4500017018
Step 7: now mm create a invoice base on the po: ( MIRO)
Post invoice
Document no. 5105608630 created
Invoice posting document
Step 8: Now create a billing vf01
In this billing document give the order no. it is order related billing.
Billing document generated based on the invoice posting

Third Party Patches

I know there has been lots of question in regards to third party patching. But I see SCUP can only be used for free catalog file like Adode. Wondering what would be the best approach, If I am planning to patch Chrome, Mozilla, Java etc. Have anyone
done any research on this. Are we going to get cab file for all this product?
I see large number of software like secunia, lumension, shavlik, SolarWinds etc...Any more insight and help will be greatly appreciated.
