hi,
Here is the explanation of confirmation control key.
Confirmation control key
Determines which confirmation categories are expected for a PO item (e.g. order acknowledgment, shipping notification).
Procedure
Enter the key containing the confirmation categories agreed with the vendor.
Dependencies
<b>If you enter a key and select Acknowl. reqd, you can have messages issued to vendors urging them to submit overdue order acknowledgments (acknowledgment expediters). Other confirmation categories cannot be expedited in this way.
you need to create inbound delivery ie confirmation of goods have been delivered to customer place thru t code VL31N and then do MIGO after that.</b>
<u><b>If you are not following the process you deselect that confirmation control key and do MIGO.</b></u>
Thanks

  • Subcontrac vendor delivers finished goods to customer. (Third party?)

The business process is as follow:
We provide components to the subcontract vendor and they will delivery the finished goods directly to the customer. How to acheive this scenario in SAP?
Can there be a statistical GR like third party processing? (and statistical PGI?)
Detail explanation will be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

You can have an intransit storage location which does not have a physical presence.
You can perform GR against PO in that storage location, and then dispatch the material by picking from that storage location.

  • Hi all.. what is the item category for third party returns

Please also include a brief about third party returns procedure
    thanks
    adi

    Hi,
In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. The standard sales order automatically creates a purchase requisition for the materials to be delivered by the third-party vendor.
In this scenario, the vendor sends a shipping notification. The incoming invoice from the vendor updates the billing quantity, so that the customer-billing document is only possible after entering the invoice from the vendor.
<b>If the customer does not accept</b> the delivered goods from the third party vendor, the customer disposes of the goods. A credit memo is issued to the customer reversing the revenue and cost of goods sold. Then a MM credit memo is created for the third party vendor. A statistical goods receipt reversal is performed for the goods in order to close out the original purchase order. The vendor credit memo may initially be blocked for payment, if previous agreement for this with vendor exists.
And REN would be returns item category. But you can always have your own cutomized item category if there are any special requirments from the business.
Hope it helps. Please reward if useful.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Third party order & Inter copany STO

    HI SD Guru's
can anyone tell me please about the configuration steps and the Procedure for "Third Party" & "Inter company STO"
    <b><REWARDS OFFER REMOVED BY MODERATOR></b>
    Thanks

    dear SP
    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
in third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
the processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing:-
if a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
when you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
you process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.

Stock transfers that include deliveries and billing documents/invoices are only possible between plants belonging to different company codes.
If you want to carry out a cross-company-code stock transport order with delivery but without a billing document, you must set the Relevant for Billing (data element FKREL) indicator in Customizing of the item type to "blank" (Not relevant for billing).
The following applications are involved in this type of stock transfer:
    • Purchasing (MM-PUR) in entering the order
    • Shipping (LE-SHP) in making the delivery from the issuing plant
    • Billing (SD-BIL) in creating the billing document for the delivery
    • Inventory Management (MM-IM) at goods receipt in the receiving plant
Invoice Verification (MM-IV) at invoice receipt in the receiving
Transfer of goods from one location to another location, it may be between plants within the same company code or in different company code's plants.
within the company code, but plants,
receiving plant will raise the STO in Supplying/issuing plant-ME21n,
Supplying plant will deliver the goods to receiving plants ,
then we need to pick n post the Goods Issue-VL02n,
now when we can observe that the STO qty will be added into receiving plant and reduced in Delivering plant,
To do this, we need do prior customization in SPRO-IMG,-
material should be created in both plants( receiving & Supplying)
-maintain the stock only in supplying plant
-create a dummy customer in supplying plant's sales area(if u have one sales area, create in tat comp code n sales area)
-assign this customer number to receiving plant's details along with the sales area,
-Assign the STO doc type(UB) to Supplying plant, along with checking rule
-Assign the Del type (NL/NLCC) to Supplying n receiving plant.
*Del type=NL is not relevant for billing, where as NLCC is relevant for billing

  • Stock is increased and FI entry is posted in statistical GR for third party

    Hello
I was trying to activate the functionalty for statistical GR in third party but STUCK due to following issues. For enabling this functionaltity I have checked "Goods Reciept" and "GR Non-Valuated" check in "Delivery tab" of PO.
         1. After creating Statistical GR through MIGO (101), stock has been posted in plant. I was expecting no movement in Stock .
         2. I was hoping there should not be in FI posting but FI entry is posted through statistical GR .
We are using third party process from many years but without statistical GR. Requirement from client is to post statistical GR without FI entry and no stock should be updated. Please advise if anyone has idea on this.
FYI--We have item category TAS and schedule line category CS in customisation. Also advise if above two settings in PO are enought to turn ON the statistical GR functionality.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Third Party - Statistical GR

    Hi,
Is there any configurational settings needs to be done in processing a Statistical Gr for a Third Party Purchase Order.
I had done all of the settings in the SD module, created a Sales Order which in turn created a PR in background & Converted the PR to the PO with the account assignment category and item category as Third party.
But when i have tried to make a GR, the system throws a message stating that there is no items selectable in the PO but the PO  is sill open.
Could any one help me in getting the configurational settings needs to be carried to process a Statistical GR for a Third Party Purchase Order.

  • Third party with sto from supplying plant

    Hi,
When i am trying to convert Third party purchase requisition NB created through Sales order
to Stock transport order to transfer the material from other plant i am getting following error
    Error Message
Third-party not defined in the case of vendor with plant assignment
       essage no. 06769
You are entering a purchase transaction involving a vendor to whom a
plant has been assigned. Normally, this will involve the transfer of
materials from one plant to another.
This process necessitates a delivery and a billing document in the SD
system. The PO appears directly in the delivery due list of the issuing
plant (vendor) and therefore does not need to be transmitted.
However, an item with the procurement form "third-party" (triangular
business deal) cannot appear in the delivery due list.
An item with the procurement form "third-party" can only be ordered from
        vendors without a plant assignment.
Anybody has any suggestions on this scenario
    Diwakar

    Hi Niel,
You don't need to create an STO. If you create a normal sales order with delivering plant B, they will see it in their delivery due list or MD04 or whatever. And it doesn't matter for this purpose that the plants belong to different comp. codes. This will only matter after the delivery to the customer - VF01 (or VF04) with reference to the delivery will bill the customer (comp. code A is billing); then another VF01 will generate inter-company billing document where company B charges comp. A.
So why do you insist on having a STO?

    Hi
Use the following user exit to pass your required account assignment category to purchase requisition at the time of sales order creation.
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_ME_REQ (include MV45AFZB)
With this user exit you can include additional fields for the following fields:
    o     EBAN (purchase requisition)
    o     EBKN (purchase requisition-account assignment)

  • STO with Delivery Third party

    Hi all,
I have this flow to manage:
Company A create an STO against Company B
Company B create a PO against an external vendor that delivers the goods to Company A.
Can be managed this flow on SAP? The IC third party can be easily managed from a sales order but in this case the trigger is a purchase order, is there a solution?
Let me know if you need further information.
Thank you in advance for your help,
    G

    Thank you Shiva,
is this a SAP note, i can't download from SAP.
In general, is it possible to manage this flow?

  • Third party+ intercompany STO with billing ???????

    Hi Experts.
Would like to take ur inputs.
My Client has 2 Company Codes 1000 and 2000
The 1000 Company code has 2 Distribution Centres- A001, A002.
    And Company Code 2000 has 2 Sites-B001, B002.
My Client 1000 Company Code procures on Behalf of 2000 Company Code and sales the Material on a Specific Margin from 1000 Company code to 2000 Company Code.
Site B001( Company Code 2000 ) will raise P.O to Distribution Center A001 ( Company Code 1000 ) and then Distribution Centre A001 ( Company Code 1000 ) will raise P.O to the External Vendor.
    a) How Can we inter-Link the respective transactions between Site B001 to Distribution Centre A001 and from Distribution Centre A001 to External Vendor ?
    b) Is it Possible to Farward the raised P.O from Site B001 to Distribution Centre A001 to External Vendor ?
Please advice your valuable input on this.
    Thanks in advance

               Plant B001( Company Code 2000 ) will raise P.O to Plant A001 ( Company Code 1000 )
We use the Inter Company stock Transfer with Billing
    Partis involved:
    1. End Customer
    2. Supplying Plant
    3. Receiving plant
    2. from A001 to External Vendor

      We use Third Party process
    Process.
    1. First Company code 2000 - Plant B001 will raise a P.O to Company Code 1000 - Plant A001
    2. The Company code 1000 Receives the PO and Finds it has not stock within its plant
    3. The company code 1000 will raise a new PO with reference to PO sent by Company code 2000 to its vendor.
    4. The Company code 1000 asks the vendor to deposit the material in their plant site.(by providing plant A001 Address)
    5. The Vendor will raise an invoice to the Company code 1000
    6. Now From the company code 1000, from plant A001 STO will be performed keeping receiving plant as 2000

  • Urgent - STO - Third Party Carrier ex: FedEx / UPS - Outbound Delivery

    Hi Gurus,
I am working on an issue in which when an UB/UD order type STO is created, the Third Party shipping-Carrier info. ex: FedEx 1 day, 2 days, 5 days / UPS 1 day, 2 days, 5 days, etc., is entered in the Partner Tab. This needs to be pulled into the NL type Outbound Delivery in Partner Info. Tab Automatically.
We have created the Partner Functions in purchasing with Supplying Plant as Vendor. Also configured the Partner Function of carrier in Delivery -
, After that I have noticed that the Carrier info. is pulled from Customer Master (Defaulted Partner), but not from the PO.
We need the Carrier to be pulled from STO only...into NL type Outbound Delivery.
    Please help..!!
    Thanks in Advance..

    Kumar,
If I understand your question correctly you have a partner in the Sales Order that you want to automatically copy into a delivery that is created in reference to that order.
If this is the case check your partner determination procedures in the Delivery
IMG path: Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Partners > Set Up Partner Determination for Deliveries
You must have the same partner type defined in the Delivery as you do in the Order.
    I hope this helps

  • STO's INTER / INTRA & THIRD PARTY SALES

Dear friends!! plz clear my doubts in the following : -
    1) in STO cross comp, internal customer required and doc flow is like NBNLCCF2
and my doubt is whether pricing comes to F2 from NB with MM pricing procedure? Does Doc.PP should be assigned to F2 here??
2)in STO intra comp, internal customer is not required and doc flow is like UBNLJEX and pricing is triggered from UB with MM pricing procedure? Does SD Pricing procedure is required or not? SD pricing procd determinaion is required??
3)In Third paarty sales how we got to know that how much stock is delivered by vendor to customer? as we are doing order related billing? is there any other things then migo and  miro?
Pls let me know the things clearly.

    Hi ,
Following are the steps of third party:
    1) Creation of third party sales order
    2) Generation of automatic purchase reqisition throught the configuration of schedule line CS in SD.
    3) You can check the PR Number in the schedule line tab of sales order.PR requirement will not be available in the MD04.
    4) Manually create a PO for vendor with item category S.
    5) There will be no GR in this case.
    6) Create an invoice verification document.
    7) Create an invoice from the SD side w.r.t Sales order.

  • Third Party Order/STO

    Hi Gurus,
I have a nice scenario here in my project. We are working in project system and plant and maintenance modules in ECC 6.0. The PS netwrok order is created with either of the options-network or third party. Now the scenario for third party is like this- The project wants the vendor to send the the material to directly to the project site and they mention project site address in the network order. Once they release the order- reqs are generated with item category as third party. We are working in extended classic scenario SRM 5.0. so reqs are to be tranfered to SRM and create PO further. My problem is these reqs are getting failed in SRM. These gives an error in SRM in SLG1- "ordering party does not exist".
Note that in network order they don't specify vendor but they only choose option third party and enter the address of the project site. How can I resolve this problem?
    2. We are making material tranfers from one plant to another using stock transport order and the plants are assigned to one company only. within the company they are doing tranfer beacuse the plant sites are at different locations. Now for stock trannsport order they create plant as vendor in ECC using XK01 and assing supplying plant to this vendor. Then they create a work order in PM using iw01. In this work order they add componets and assign the this plant which is created as vendor to this componet in the field fixed vendor. Reqs are generated thru this work order but gets failed in SRM. SLG1 error i don't exactly remember now, but it gives an error related to the vendor..Please let me know how do I work for this scenario?
    Thanks and Regards
    Kapil

  • Procurement cycle in third party order and stock transport order.

please provide me in steps the procurement cycle in third party order and stock transport order.

    Hi,
    STO Process: -
1.Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group :0007 using T-Code XK01.
    2. Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
    Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
    3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
    4. In Pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
    5. Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
    6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    7. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
    8. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > assign delivery Type & Checking rule
Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
    9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
    10. After all settings , Create the STO using T-Code:ME21N and maintain pricing conditions of freight and Save.
    11. Create Delivery :VL10G
Click on the Background Button after selecting line item
A message is flashed : See log for information> next Click on Log for delivery creation Button >click on line item>click on document button to get Delivery document No
    12. Picking, PGI:VL02N
    13. Billing:VF01
Save the document and its done
    14. J1IIN - Outgoing Excise Invoice
    15. MIGO - Goods Receipt against outbound Delivery
    16. J1IEX - Capture & Post Excise Invoice
    Pricing configuration for STO: -
In SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Schema Determination > Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders > Here assign Calculation Schema "RM2000" i.e. Stock Transfer Document to Schema Grp Pur. Org, STO Type (For e.g. UB) and Supplying Plant.
Calculation Schema "RM2000" has condition type P101 which will pick up the MAP of supplying plant automatically during creation of STO in ME21N ("Conditions" Tab).
You can create new freight / delivery cost conditions in M/06 and assign in pricing procedure "RM2000" in M/08 and also assign the Accrual Key to this and do the Account Determination for this Accrual Key in OBYC
    At the time of PGI, following accounting entry will get generated;
    Stock A/c - Dr - 110 INR (Receiving Plant)
    Stock A/c - Cr - 100 INR (Supplying Plant)
Freight Clearing A/c - Cr - 10 INR (Supplying Plant)
    Third Party Process Flow: -
    1) MM01 - General Item category Group should be BANS in basic view of material master.
    2) VA01 - Creation of sales order with VA01 transaction in SD module
    3) When sales order is created system automatically creates a PR for the material with item category as "S"--> Third Party Item
    4) ME21N - Directly PO with item category as "S" and delivery address as customer address
    5) MIGO - Statistical GR by MM ( When it is made goods are received and delivered)
    6) MIRO - Invoice by MM for vendor
    7) VF01 - Billing by SD on Customers
