Third Party Themes

I have been searching around for some time now and am wondering if anyone knows of any Third Party that are making new themes for use with iMovie 6. I saw one called Eye Candy but all the links are wrong or broken and can never really see what these new themes are.
Also does anyone know how hard or if it is possible to create your own themes. I know some people have already been able to create their own professional templates for use within iWeb.

How to use third party themes in swing application?

It seems that you have the library that contains the SyntheticaBlackMoonLookAndFeel class, but you don't have the library which contains the SyntheticaLookAndFeel class which is needed by the LaF you're trying to load.
And their website even says in clear english: "The 'BlackMoon Look and Feel' can not be used standalone (without Synthetica)".

Hi,
Using third party themes can save your time, but it is not conducive to the expansion and demand change in the future.
It is recommend that customizing your own theme if you had enough budget.

Australis - Begins now the big death of Adons and Third Party Themes?

Following the Nightly and Aurora Series with Big Interest. And after checking out now the Nightly UX with the more advanced parts of Australis seen in Preview...
Will there afterwards still be Themes and Adons available? I know that Mozilla plans to simplify the Browser since "Every Day's Computer Users could feel overloaded" - But is that really necessary that you break lot of Adons and most of the Complete 3rd Party Themes?
Not one single 3d Party Theme i tried with UX does work anymore, no problem with Aurora Alphas and normal Nightly.
You really should perhaps also think about the more advanced Users, because taking that beloved features away from us, to make Firefox more Google Chrome simple similiar - does not only good things!
So please, do not plan to remove Adons and Theme Support!

Nightly - Aurora - Beta is the direct development path to the Firefox Release versions. Whereas Australis / UX is a 'side path' for experimentation and development off of the direct path to Firefox. Changes seen in UX ''(or Ash or Birch or Maple or Elm)'' may never get to the Firefox Release stage, and if they do the Add-on developers will need to make the necessary changes for compatibility as they do now when changes are made on the Nightly - Aurora - Beta - Firefox Release path.

Third Party iMovie 11 trailer themes?

Are there third party themes that can be downloaded and added into iMovie 11? I tried Googling for "iMovie 11 themes", but all that comes up are reviews of the built-in ones.

I would bet you $100 bucks on it. As of today, right now. No there is not any.

I'm looking for third-party iDVD themes that will work with iDVD 6. Specifically, I'm looking for an "Extreme sports" theme. Are there any available?

There are no third party themes or trailers for iMovie that I am aware of.
Apple's Motion (available from the App Store for $50) will enable you to create your own motion graphics, themes, titles, transitions, and what not. It is a Pro tool with a big learning curve, but it is quite capable. It is fully integrated into Final Cut Pro X. It is not integrated into iMovie, but you could save a Motion project as a QuickTime file and import to iMovie as an Event. You would have to do this with any third party tool.

Duplication of 3rd party themes

After installing iWork 06, I noticed that all the third party themes I had installed in Keynote from IWork 05 are still there, but now all of them are duplicated. Anyone know how to fix this problem short of deleting and reinstalling all of them?

I had the same problem - there were duplicate themes folders in applications/support/keynote/themes in the route and individual library folders; I deleted one of them and everything is fine.

Third-party cookies: Should I be concerned that I am forced to accept in order to access a site, if I delete them after every Firefox session?

My internet service provider (https://my.gci.net/) blocks my entry to eMailGuard (a GCI spam and virus isolator) when I have third-party cookies disabled
When I allow third-party cookies I am able to access eMailGuard. I have used GCI eMailGuard and Firefox together for years and have had no such difficulty in the past.
This problem commenced 2-3 weeks ago.
I have followed all directions at http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websites-say-cookies-are-blocked-unblock-them to clear all cookies and cache, with no change. Also, my default setting (see below) is to “Clear history when Firefox closes.” If I understand correctly, clearing history will also clear cookies and cache, so I do it every time I close Firefox.
Has Firefox changed third-party cookies parameters recently? GCI of course claims this is a browser issue. Should I be concerned about third-party cookies if I delete them after every Firefox session? Any comments or thoughts are greatly appreciated.
My current version is Firefox v.14.0.1
My Privacy settings are:
• Tools\Options\Privacy
• Use custom settings for history
My selected (checked) custom settings are as follows:
• Remember my browsing history
• Remember download history
• Remember search and form history
• Accept cookies from sites (third-party cookies not selected)
• Keep until: I close Firefox
• Clear history when Firefox closes

That's what I use for all cookies. If you start a new session every time you start Firefox, i.e., you don't resume the same session over and over, websites cannot track you 'across sessions' using cookies; you are a new person to them during each session (unless/until you log in).
Note that "Flash cookies" need to be managed separately.
As for this particular site, if you want to spend some time research it, you could install an add-on such as Firebug or the external Fiddler2 proxy. Both will show you each request made by the browser when you load a page. Then you can see which third party sites are involved and if you like make a specific entry to allow them in the Exceptions dialog.

Where are my Photos stored if I want to access them through a third party

Hello!
I want to be able to back up my photos from the new Photos for OS X using a third party - such as Google+ Auto Backup. I am trying to point Google+ to the source of my photos, but can not figure out where they are located in the Finder!! The option to point to the Photos app is greyed out and I don't seem to see anywhere else that the actual files could be stored. Are my photos stored anywhere that I can show Google+ Auto Backup? I would like to have it regularly backup my Photos, but can not find them!

Thanks so much for replying! I was hoping to backup the photos on an ongoing basis - something I'm pretty sure I was doing with iPhoto. As I would add new photos to my iPhoto library they would automatically backup for me through the Google+ app on my laptop (like an iCloud). If I export them, as you suggested, I would have to do that manually. Is there anyway to use a third party to backup Photos? I hope I'm making sense!!!

Safari 6.2 update killed third-party toolbar buttons: SOLUTION to re-enable them

After installing the Safari 6.2 update as part of a recent OS X update, on my MacBook Air running OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion), both my third-party toolbar buttons (via Safara extensions) suddenly vanished (LastPass and Pinterest). Reinstalling them didn't help, and Safari > Help > Installed Plug-Ins shows them as installed just fine.
The SOLUTION: Safari 6.2 has added an unannounced privacy setting with default setting set to OFF. All I had to do to re-enable both missing toolbar buttons was to go the Extensions tab of Safari > Preferences, and for each extension listed on the left, click it and then check the (suddenly-by-default-unchecked) checkbox to enable the extension.
Boo Apple for turning off everyone's Safari extensions without notice, and without instruction about how to re-enable them.

Third-party cookies are automatically enabling after I have disabled them. Virus?

Though I normally run Firefox on private mode, and do accept cookies but never from third parties, I seem to have somehow ended up with a virus or something that automatically changes these settings every time I use Firefox. No matter how often I uncheck the box next to 'accept third party cookies' and click 'okay' the next time I go into the privacy setting box it will be checked again. How do I fix this???

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Third party keyboards not showing after installing them

I have installed multiple third party keyboards, however none of them are showing up on my keyboard. I'm only showing the original keyboard and don't have the option to switch. The globe doesn't show either.
Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?

Yes. I have installed them within settings and allowed full access. I have even deleted the English keyboard, so just the 3rd party is showing, but that doesn't even work.

I purchased my iMac using the same (and only) Apple ID I use to purchase apps. Third-party apps update fine, but the apps that came with my iMac (iPhoto, iMovie, etc) bring up a message saying I have to log in with the account I used to purchase them.

I used my only Apple ID to purchase my iMac (Intel-based one). I've never been able to update core apps that came with it. I can update third party apps I've bought (like Coda), but when I try to update Garage Band, iPhoto, iMovie and so on, a popup message appears saying "You have updates available for other accounts" and "Log in with the account you used to purchase this app in order to update it", or similar (see screenshot above).
The OS seems to get its updates fine - it's just the core apps from the App Store.
I've only ever had one Apple ID, so I have no idea what to do. I went to ask the Genius bar at my local Apple store, and they couldn't help, and insisted that I must have purchased the iMac using a different account, but I definitely didn't. There are a few posts on non-Apple forums of this happening to other people, so it must be a rare bug.
I'm a little concerned it may affect my ability to update from Lion to Mountian Lion. Can anyone help?

Have you done a Disk Repair and a Disk Permissions Repair?
If that doesn't resolve the problem I would suggest calling customer support about this issue as it is most likely on their (Apple's) end that the problem exists.
