Third party utilities to reformat SSD from GPT to MBR?

Do you recommend any third party utilities that I could use from a bootable disk to reformat an SSD from GPT to MBR? Preferable free or cheap?

Third party application can list contacts from shared contacts folder, but not retrieve

I am working with a third party developer on a problem occurring in their application.<o:p></o:p>
The software displays the contact list and retrieves a fax number from Outlook. I wish to
return a number from an Outlook Shared Contacts Folder.
This works well under Windows 7 with Outlook 2013 in cached mode..<o:p></o:p>
Running the same software in a terminal services window on a Remote Desktop Server running
Server 2008 R2 with Outlook in Online mode an error is produced when trying to
do the same. The contact list is shown, but when the code tries to retrieve the
displayed record there is the following error:<o:p></o:p>

Sorry to be away from this for so long.
It looks like Outlook is not initializing shared folders when it starts.
I confirmed this using the following code for the Outlook startup event:

With this in place I do not need to go to People and click the shared folder, and the third party app has no problems retrieving.
The third party app starts Outlook itself if it is not already running. In this scenario no events fire.
So the question is: Is there a means of executing this code when the third party app starts Outlook?

No iMessage third party accounts show up aside from Yahoo!

None of the accounts (like AIM or GoogleTalk) appear in my add box for third party accounts, only Yahoo! shows up.

At this stage for iChat I would recommend Reinstalling the app as it is a relatively simple job from the Install Disk.
However in Mountain Lion this is not possible as you have to reinstall the whole OS (not difficult but time consuming)
I would try downloading the OS X 10.8.3 COMBO Update and installing this over the top.
If that does not work you will have to use the Recovery option to reinstall the OS.

IT Error (No third-party downloading on blackberry purchased from e-bay)

Hi I would like to know if there is anything that I can do to get rid of this potential block on my phone. I purchased a phone off of ebay. I am currently with t-mobile. I cannot download any applications to my phone and keep getting an error message of "IT policy does not allow third-party downloading". This is a personal blackberry and it is not connected to any enterprise servers.
Can someone please assist me with this issue as i now want to throw my blackberry against a wall!!!!

Third party apps to upload files from ios devices?

Suppose you have a resume saved on your ipad or iPhone. You go to apply to a job online. The company website wants you to upload a resume. Upon selecting the upload button you only have the option of uploading pictures or videos. Is there a third party app that allows the ipad to be turned into a disk drive. I can do this on my Android devices. I am considering switching back to apple and need to know if I can do this crucial procedure. Please advise.

For uploads to websites you'll need to use a 3rd party browser than can store your files with in its file area.

Third party utilities

I have a new MacBook and would like to protect it with the appropriate utilities. Disk Warrior X has been recommended and reviews indicate that Drive Genius for Mac is worth having. Tech Tool Pro from what I can gather is problematic. Can someone advise me on whether I need both Disk Warrior X and Drive Genius. And how often should I run them? Are they for prevention or strictly reparative once I have a problem?

Hi, babitsm. Welcome to the Discussions and congratulations on your MacBook purchase.
1. Neither DiskWarrior (DW) nor Drive Genius are available as a Universal Binary, and hence won't work with your MacBook. To date, of the apps you cited, only TechTool Pro (TTP) is available as a Universal Binary for Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs.
I do not regard TTP as "problematic" but I have yet to test the new Universal version on an Intel-based Mac. There are both "Gold" (4.5.1) and "Beta" (4.5.2) versions of TTP available: beta software can be problematic as the "beta test" is used to shake out the bugs, with you, the user, playing "Test Pilot." It's important to know the version someone was using if they report it as being "problematic." I would shy away from using the beta version of a disk utility on a production system. For owners of PowerPC-based Macs, I recommend having both DW and TTP.
2. re: Prevention or Repair? Most disk utilities have both monitoring and repair functions. Their disk repair functions are primarily for repair when Disk Utility cannot fix a problem with a volume's directory, and may be their best attributes. The monitoring functions, such as checking the SMART diagnostics, may be of value to you. A reading of the sales literature for each should give you a better picture of what functions are "preventative" in sense of fixing problems before they arise vs. "preventative monitoring" in the sense of alerting you to impending problems so you can then use the utility's repair functions, if needed.
3. As to "when should I run them" this largely depends on you. For example, you can make their testing functions part of a maintenance routine, such as the routine I recommend in my "Maintaining Mac OS X" FAQ. If you enable the monitoring features of the utility, then they are always running to monitor the functions they track, but you'd still use the tools directly when troubleshooting or repairing problems when they arise.

Need third party software to move photos from iphone 3GS to my PC.

I'm hoping someone can recommend me a good software package that allows me to use my iphone as an external memeory drive so that I can copy 4000(!) photos from my 'Photo Library' without loosing the quality???

Thanks for the replies, problem is I stupidly saved my photos on my iphone when my PC crashed. I wiped my PC and having only just bought the iphone didn't realise I couldn't copy these photos back to my PC.
The only copies I have of these photos are now STUCK on my iphone! I really need to be able to copy them to my PC.
I've heard that there are a few programes that can help out with this, I just wanted a recommendation before I buy one.

Third party Device settings after change from DCHP to PPPoE

Hi,
I have an AEBS 802.11n connected to a Dell Inspiron 6400 running Windows XP SP2.
I was using it with an elderly non-wireless broadband router for internet connection, but I have just changed to a broadband modem instead. This change has resulted in my having to change from DCHP to PPPoE, and enter my ISP password etc into my AEBS instead of my router.
I have wireless internet access via my AEBS, no problem. But since I have swapped it to PPPoE my computer isn't 'seeing' a locally connected device, which I have on an ethernet cable into one of the LAN ports on my AEBS. (The device is actually a 'virtual radar' radio receiver.)
I have checked the physical connections, which seem okay. And the device was being 'seen' correctly via the AEBS before I changed to PPPoE, so I suspect this change may have a bearing.
Can anyone suggest any other AEBS settings which may need to be altered to make the device 'visible' again please?

Yes, thanks for that.
I have, in fact, now sorted my problem.
What I did was to reconfigure the IP range that my AEBS was covering. I did this in the AirPort Utility Internet tab by:-
1. Changing from DHCP to PPPoE
2. Doing that brings up four sub-tabs, one of which is DHCP.
3. On the DHCP tab, you can set the 'beginning IP address' and 'ending IP address', and I adjusted those so that they matched the assigned IP of my missing device.
As soon as I did that, the device reappeared.
(No... I wasn't clever enough to think of that myself. I received expert tuition from someone on the comp.sys.mac.hardware newsgroup.)

for deduction of LIC from salary
i assigned the standard wagetype MLIC in v_t7inia .
then i maintained the infotype 57 where i maintained standard wagetype MLIC with amount 2000 and payment frequecy 3 month start month as november.
while i run the payr,oll for november month from salary 2000 is not deducting.
so can any body guide me how lLIC premium will be deducted from salary. and how system will take it as exemption.

Regarding your query, to me it looks like that this is a problem of the processing class 41 for the wagetype which you are using.
Please check by changing the value to 0 or 8?
Please compare the same with standard wagetype MLIC

Hi,
When i am trying to convert Third party purchase requisition NB created through Sales order
to Stock transport order to transfer the material from other plant i am getting following error
Error Message
Third-party not defined in the case of vendor with plant assignment
   essage no. 06769
    You are entering a purchase transaction involving a vendor to whom a
    plant has been assigned. Normally, this will involve the transfer of
    materials from one plant to another.
    This process necessitates a delivery and a billing document in the SD
    system. The PO appears directly in the delivery due list of the issuing
    plant (vendor) and therefore does not need to be transmitted.
    However, an item with the procurement form "third-party" (triangular
    business deal) cannot appear in the delivery due list.
    An item with the procurement form "third-party" can only be ordered from
    vendors without a plant assignment.
Anybody has any suggestions on this scenario

Hi Niel,
You don't need to create an STO. If you create a normal sales order with delivering plant B, they will see it in their delivery due list or MD04 or whatever. And it doesn't matter for this purpose that the plants belong to different comp. codes. This will only matter after the delivery to the customer - VF01 (or VF04) with reference to the delivery will bill the customer (comp. code A is billing); then another VF01 will generate inter-company billing document where company B charges comp. A.
So why do you insist on having a STO?

SOAP--PI--ABAP Proxy-how to call this scenarion from third-party PeopleSoft

My scenario is:
Third-party Peoplesoft sending an Asynchronous XML message to PI through SOAP Adapter which will then be processed by ABAP proxy server.
I have everything in place (SDL,IR,ID & ABAP Proxy). I have created a SOAP tool that uses URL (http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel) and XML message to test the process - it works.
Now the problem is the Peoplefoft system guys need help to figure out how do they reach our system and this process.
per my understanding, I created a WSDL using ID>Tools>Define Web Service option and sent it to them hoping they will be able to use this WSDL to program their call to our system.
I also additionally sent them the SOAP client tool that i use to test the process that has default XML payload in it.
The only change i made in WSDL before sending to third-party is - replaced location tag from the actual URL that reaches sender SOAP adapter to the external URL that will be used by PeopleSOft system reach our network. I think our network guys are going to map this external url to internal URL.
Is there anything else i can do as a PI consultant to help Peoplesoft reach our network and hit the SOAP Adapter (SOAP sender adapter channel for my process).
I will Appreciate any ideas.

As a PI developer, ur only task is to provide the correct wsdl to the Peoplesoft guys. As u have changed the URL, there is nothing else to be done at ur end.
The SOAP Client user just have to use the wsdl and fill in the data. Before the communication, please make sure that there are no firewall restrictions.

Inventory onhand quantities check from third party OM system - EBS R12

We need to build a custom program in EBS which will give the onhand quantity availability of an item being ordered (in third party system), when being called from the third party ordering system. How do i start building such a custom program in EBS (tables, some logic ideas). Any inputs?

First of all, find out if you need to get Onhand Quantity in Oracle or the Available quantity in Oracle.
Getting Onhand quantity is a matter of simply looking up one table.
Getting availability is a little bit more complicated.
Then you need to find out the architecture. Is the 3rd party app going to have a real time connection to EBS? Can it connect to EBS using dblink? Does that app need a file on daily basis?
You need to define your requirements further.

Can I installed CPUS on SUN Solaris? In the BLOG posted By TIM, it's wriiten there, that it can be installed on LINUX or UNIX only. Is there any way to installed it on SUN Solaris?
What is efax 0.9 software mentioned in user guide p.no. 11-38 for installing and setting up fax for CPUS.
Do i need any third party tool to do faxing from Oracle E-Business Suite.
OR if i am using XMLP for faxing then, it will take care of all the things, no need for any third party tool.
We are having XMLP 5.0.1 which comes by default with E-Business Suit 11.5.10.2.

SunSolaris is a flavor of UNIX so you can install and may even already have CUPS, get it to the latest version you can.
The efax soluition is an open source 'driver' if you will to enable faxing via CUPS.
You will not need anything else to do faxing from apps ... just cups and efax and your fax board of course.

Third Party Process and Inventory

We are using the SAP function "Third-Party Processing". We are using the function in it's standard (SAP R/3 4.7).
The auditor now has the following issue: Shipping the goods starts after paying the goods. Out of this, while shipping the goods, we are the owner of them. In this circumstance the ship is our warehouse.
SAP does not allow an Inventory Management within Third-Party Processing:
"Since a third-party order involves a movement from the vendor direct to the customer, Inventory Management is not in any way affected. If you wish to document the movement in the system, however, you can create a goods receipt for the third-party order."
With the SAP functions in this scenario it is correct that the warehouse stock is not being impacted. This is a conflict with the opinion of the auditor.
Let me explain in detail what is wrong out of the view of our auditor:
For example we initiated the order of a customer in June and we have paid the goods in June. The shipment starts in June and the goods will arive in July. Due to the fact, that we are the owner of the goods on the ship, we have to increase the stock. This is the opinion of our auditor.

Some auditors just dont understand the SAP process. Instead of talking to weak users, they should talk to SAP directly.
What about shipments from standard sales orders that are shipped end of June and do arrive at the customer in July?
When do you bill your customer? when the goods arrives there, or earlier? Depending on the Incoterms you may still be the owner until the truck is unloaded.
If you change your process and post goods receipt to your warehouse, then you show inventory where no physical inventory is, you posted a goods receipt without a physical receipt. I am sure the next auditor will not allow such therotical process.
Get together, IT consultants of FI and MM and SD, strong business people for the same modules and the auditor, and discuss and find an optimal solution.And let the auidor sign the decision paper!!! Very important, I recently had to convice German auditors because they had different opinion than the Australian and US auditors of the same auditing company (and the issue had nothing to do with local legal requirements).
