can any one tell me why im getting the above message in iphone 3gs
and now i spoke to apple customer service agent he said to restore it on other windows
when i did that i lost it
and it is saying error 1611
and i cannot start my i phone

I'd be interested in an answer to this one too... I'd been seeing it on a car adapter I have for a while but expected that as it was actually an iPod accessory but since the 4.2.1 update I've also seen it on a few odd occasions when using an Apple universal dock. on at least 2 occasions it just popped up on the screen for no apparent reason when I unlocked it - nothing was connected at the time!
I know it's not a faulty phone... because this has been happening since the 4.2.1 update and Apple replaced the phone since then due to a faulty mute switch, it happened both before and after the replacement!

My iphone 5 has been saying this for days now. Yes I have recently purchased a motorola ear piece for easy talking while walking, but i have also used a 10ft cord purchased at walmart for months now and no display before the motorola. now even without anything plugged in ,I still get the display message on my phone saying" the cord or accessory is not capitable with this iphone and may not be reliable with this iphone.

Try resetting your iPhone. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
CAUTION - This may get rid of the warning for now, but the issue the warning points out still remains. One or both of your cables is certainly suspect.

Just got my iphone 4 loving it. Rocking the 1st generation dock, that came with my old iPhone I think, for the iPhone classic. I thought it fit and audio comes through the line out thing, my iTunes stuff plays perfect through my phone, but I keep getting:"This accessory is not supported with iPhone".
Is this true or is something wrong?

I would say that this is likely the result of apples preference to manufacture things that are premium in nature.
Case in point. My apple g4 laptop is 20 years old, and still works. My only problem with it is that if you pick it up with one hand it warps the motherboard, and detaches the video chip, crashing the laptop. But the point of that is that it is a precision device. IE like a precision piece of NASA equipment, the laptop must live on a flat surface, and not be subjected to warping.
Now applying this concept to the iPhone 6... its .25" thick. has a medium to large screen. And does not heat up when playing YouTube videos for 8 hours wile charging with its native accessory. But think about that. to achieve that kind of performance with out heating up, the iPhone must be engineered to such an extent, as to make it sensitive to the power input.
Incidentally, if I plug my iPhone 6 into a car charger, I bought at a gas station, and run YouTube, it heats up immensely... probably because it has to much current running into it.
In answer to your original questions, I would say that your accessory is not providing enough power to your iPhone to safely charge it.
other explanations might include an accessory that has a grounding problem, (the lady who electrocuted herself in china)
or the accessory is affected by a floating ground ( the negative line is not at zero volts)/ (or the iPhone needs a negative connection that is floating, and your accessory provides a negative connection at zero volts...
Personally I experienced this message on incompatibility, after my iPhone 6 was plugged into my pc for several house. Incidentally that was how I learned that my work pc was having power issues... the USB power was dirty, which was causing unusual performance in the pc, and causing incompatibility with the phone.

Both you and the recipient have to have active data connections, and both devices have to have iOS 5 or higher to be able to use iMessage. Also, they both have to have iMessage activated. If that is already the case, there is a possiblility that iMessage is down. It has gone up and down several times in the past week. IPhone 4 continues to display "this accessory is not compatible with this device" I only got my phone a week ago and I have only plugged a charger into it... Any ideas on how to fix? Ask your question.

Phone is and has continued to display "this accessory is not optimized on this I phone... It flashes on the screen continuously even when phone is locked, wasting battery life in the process. I could understand if I had used a dodgy charger but I have only used the charger I got with my iPhone. And it has been happening since the first time I charged it. Also the keyboard sounds go on and off when I'm typing, any ideas. Cheers.

Not that's not normal and is one of the Problems I was having before Restoring as New...
Just make sure you Sync ALL your important Info... Contacts... Music... Etc... to your Computer...
and then do a Restore as New...
i was a bit reluctant at First, because I hadn't done it before... But it was So Easy and am Really Glad I did...

K3 Note - Problems with Contacts within Phone

some of my contacts are listed simply as 07xxx xxxxxx and others as +44 7xxx xxxxxx. If the sends phone is set to send as a +44 but I have them saved as a 07, its not clever enough to realise its the same number, so I am having to save each contact with both numbers, so that there name comes up when phoning or receiving a text. Any way Around this ?

I have no idea whether this is MS or Nokia fault. That the last time, I have synced my contacts with PC (more than a year ago). Believe me, I tried with every ways you can imagine.

Bluetooth Suddenly Not Working With My Huawei Phone

I have a 13 inch Macbook Pro (the latest one). I also have a Huawei y300 phone. The two used to work together fine. I could send photos back and forth using bluetooth with no problems. But now I can't send anything. I can pair my phone with my MacBook but when I go to send a file, I get a "cancelled by user" message on my phone. Nothing will connect to Bluetooth on my Macbook. I think it's the Yosemite update. That's when the bluetooth seemed to have stopped working. Has anyone had this issue? is there any fix?

First check and see if Wacom has a driver update.
If their most recent driver does not solve the problem, then you need to call Wacom and work with them to see why the driver is not working on your system.

Why are entries into iCal not synching with my droid phone?

When I enter calendar events into my Motorola Droid phone (Gmail), the entries automatically synch to my Macbook Pro Gmail and from there to iCal. But when I make an entry into iCal, though the entry appears on the Macbook Pro Gmail, the entry does not push to my phone. Why would the synching work in one direction and not the other? I was trying to use iCal because it's easy to just click on the dock icon to open it up, but if the synching is not reliable, I'll need to go back to just using Gmail for everything. Thanks for any input.

It's probably not compatible. This is the only thing I can see.

Factime not connecting with new overseas phone number

Hi,
Using an iphone 4S running 7.1.1
I am in asia for a year or two and just changed from an unlocked Verizon SIM card to a local GSM SIM card and new phone number. For some reason, Facetime won't connect. It rings, begins the connection, then fails after a few seconds. Either when I dial out or someone calls me.
Mail works, WhatsApp works. So data over wifi is working. And Maps is working, so 3G is fine in the street.
Facetime was working fine yesterday when I was still using the Verizon SIM card and the old number, so I have that baseline.
Also, under Settings/FaceTime/You Can Be Reached by FaceTime At the phone number (an asian phone number that includes the country code) is checked but grayed out, I'm guessing it has something to do with this but I don't know how to resolve it.
Any ideas?

Update to Post: tried a phone call to the same US number and it works just fine.
