I created a new account that has been verified yet it is saying the account has not been used with app store....kindly assist with possible cause.

I set up Apple ID. When I try to make purchase on Itunes Store, systems asks for Apple ID & Password. When I enter, I receive Error Message: This Apple ID has not yet been used with Itunes Store. Options to click Review Account or Cancel. When I click Review Account, it asks for my Apple ID & Password again and gives me the same Error Message. How do I make a purchase?

This isnt an error message as such, but it should give you the option to review and confirm your account details, which is necessary before you can use the account on that machine.

From iTunes on your computer, can you log into the iTunes store using that Apple ID? Perhaps you have to first log out if you have used some other ID there.

If you can log into the computer, go to the Mac App Store and purchase Mavericks under your AppleID. Even though its free, they still consider it a purchase.
If you are not able to log into your Mac you can try on a different Mac. Once you purchase it, you can stop the download if you want.
Once you do that then you should be able to reinstall via the Recovery HD

I applied and received an upgrade code to Redeem Mountain Lion for my new MBP.
I get this message when I try to Sign in to the App Store after entering the redemption content code, and also if I just try to "Sign In".   The first part of the error is true - I haven't used the AppleID with the iTunes store.
I received the upgrade code using this same AppleID, so I don't think I can use a different AppleID.
I also tried to re-create this appleID...(it was one suggestion I saw for this issue) It doesn't let me since the ID already exists...

As for cookies. Quit the App Store. Now open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder.
Type this exactly as you see it here:   ~/Library/Cookies
Click Go the move the   com.apple.appstore.plist   file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store.

If you have never used the Apple ID to make purchases from iTunes or the Mac App Store you need to follow the steps to create an account with that Apple ID.

You haven't opened an account with that Apple ID in iTunes. Open iTunes and log in. A dialog will appear in which you need to enter your Apple ID and/or password. Below it you should see a link for creating a new account. Click on that link to get started.

Hello. I want to download and install Xcode 4 in my new Mac Book Pro from Apple Store. I did the following:
1. I tried to sign in using the Apple Store application.
2. After provinding my Apple ID and my password I got the awful message "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store."
3. I was sent to a form to review my ID, my password and my secret question. I provided missing information and pressed Continue.
4. I was sent to a form to fill out my credit card's information and I got stuck here because the Continue button never activates.
I am quite angry with this "modern" process. These are my complains:
1. Why not to download the .dmg and .pkg files from the homepage as in previous years?
2. Why is not my stupid ID recognized or associated to iTunes Store?
3. Why doesn't the Continue button activate?
This poblem occurs both in the US Store and MX Store. I am really annoyed because of this show-stopper problem. Is there any means of downloading Xcode 4 as a .dmg file?

I'm having the exact same issue as the two of you. I linked my paypal, I made a whole new Id, nothing works. I've emailed the support team @ Express Lane, and I'm waiting to hear from them. Have either of you gotten help with this issue?
