This computer has not had a successful backup recently

Despite the above mentioned critical notification in Health Monitioring, all other indications state that backups have been successful. This warning has only started appearing since I reconnected the client machines to the server. Any idea on how to fix?
Have disabled client backups and re-enabled them to no avail....

Would you let me confirm whether you can back up successfully when this warning persists? Please let me know
if have installed some third-party protection programs. Such as Symantec or McAfee protection. If installed, please temporarily disable them and firewall, then check if the warning still exists.
Please open
Run and type services.msc, then click OK. In Services, please navigate to
Volume Shadow Copy service and check if this service is started.
Meanwhile, please refer to the following operations and check COM access permissions.
Open
Run and type dcomcnfg, then click OK. The Component Services will appear.
In the left panel, expand the Component Services section, and then expand the Computers section.
My Computer option will appear.
Please right click
My Computer and select Properties.
In
My Computer Properties, please select COM Security tab. Under
Access Permissions, please click “Edit Default…” button.
Under
Group or user names, please add NETWORK SERVICE
and then click OK.
Then please monitor the result.
In addition, please navigate to the path in Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\VssAccessControl
Please check the value of “NT Authority\NetworkService” was set to
1.

    Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo.

    I am trying to configure the SC 2012 R2 ConfigMgr to deploy Endpoint to our client computers and replace the old WSUS server.
    I have created a boundary based on IP range (so that it does not mess with the other computers until we retire the old WSUS) and two boundary groups (one for content location and one for site assignment).
    The ConfigMgr (device collections) "knows" the OU for the test computers. When I go to assets & compliance \ overview \ devices, I can see the computers from the OU : site code is correct, client is "no" and client type is "none". 
    The Update Services console "sees" the computer (correct name, correct IP) but the status remains at "not yet reported".
    I had to mannually install the client agent from \\sccmserver\sms_site\client. According to Update Services, the server version is 6.3.9600.16384. According to WindowsUpdate.log on the client computer, Client version is Core : 7.9.9600.16422 & Aux :
    7.9.9600.16384.
    Any suggestion for my next move ?

    I checked the cable. It surely is not the cable. If I connect the iPod again it works fine. If I use the same cable with my pc and ipad at work or my other son’s laptop, it is working perfectly. It is only on my laptop where the iPod was connected. Something tells me it got something to do with the drivers that went corrupt or something when I connected the iPod.
    I searched the internet and I see a lot of people gets this message. Still no solved answers yet. Is there a place where I can download the drivers again or any other suggestions?

    Under Part 9. Verify that USB drivers are installed, did you try the steps in If only "Unknown Device" appears?  That appears to be your situation.
    Also, you said that the shuffle initially worked well enough to do a sync, then it had the same problem again.  If you can get it to work again initially, before doing anything else, try the following.  Select the shuffle in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, go to the Summary tab.  By default, the checkbox for Enable disk use should be unchecked.  If so, check it and Apply the change.  See if that makes any difference. 
    (If Enable disk use was already checked, try unchecking it and Apply the change.  Basically, set it the "other way" and see if there is any improvement.)
    NOTE:  When disk use is enabled, you have to eject the iPod in iTunes before disconnecting it physically.
    If the disk use change makes a difference, that may provide a clue about the actual cause.

    Same situation.  Had to pull out the Mini to research this.  The Apple logo has been on the screen about five min, oh, just went black.  Home brought it back and popup is gone.  Wonder why this happened to many folks.

    Is this at an office and you are logged in not as an administrator?
    If that's not the case, then the message maybe true, that it did malfunction, and need to be serviced. (assuming you already tried power cycle the printer, making sure doors/trays are all properly put in.

    Try putting it into "Disk Mode" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651
    Then with it in this mode connect it to the PC and try to run the latest iPod updater to do a restore and update software if you have the option. the latest iPod updater is 2006-03-23 and can be downloaded here http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

    My computer (PC) will not recognize my ipod touch anymore. When I plug it in, it says the USB device attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. I have tried attaching the same cord and ipod to a different computer and it is recognized by our mac. I have tried restarting the ipod, downloading all updates on my pc, restarting the pc, etc. Nothing has worked. Please advise.

My iphone 3gs is not charging and is not recognised by itunes .whenever i attach my iphone to my computer,it displays a message 'one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it ' . :-(  it do charging sometime with charger but does'nt by computer . kindly please tell me the solution .. thanks

    As I said above, some of the new lightning cables have been known to be causing problems for some users.  Have it replaced if at all possible by bringing it into your local Apple Store's Genius Bar.

    I would first try unplugging All the USB devices plugged into your computer, and then plug back in just the iPhone and see if that is recognized.  Also, do you have the latest version of iTunes for Windows installed on your PC, as you need to?
