This Connection is Untrusted...I accidently put in the wrong login info and a specific site and now I am blocked from it, how do I unblock this.

After trying to login to a specific website three times, Firefox has now blocked me from this site. "This Connection is Untrusted" I have used this site for many years and need to be able to access it.

Rename or delete the file cert_override.txt (cert_override.txt.old) in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] to remove all permanent exceptions that you have saved.

  • My stupid husband put in the wrong email address for his apple id and I can't figure out to change it so that we can all sync?

My husband put the wrong email address as his apple id and now I can not change it?

What exactly do you want to sync?    Ideally, each phone should use its own Apple ID to keep contacts, messages, etc. separate.    You wouldn't want to share your contacts and have him accidentally delete one off of his phone which would remove from yours as well.
If you want to share apps, you can do that by having him log out of iTunes & App Store and logging in with your ID on that app only.

  • An HTTPs site gets the nasty "This Connection is Untrusted" on Firefox 12 on Mac - however works on Firefox 12 on PC and all other major browsers on Mac and PC

Works on all other browsers on both PC and Mac, only Firefox (and I have the latest version 12.0 on both PC and Mac) has the issue, which of course will make everyone seeing this scary popup click the "get me out of here" button.
What is causing this issue to happen on the very specific setup of Firefox 12 on Mac and not anywhere else?

Does it mention a cause in the technical details why the certificate is untrusted?
You may have a corrupted "VeriSign International Server CA - Class 3" certificate.
You can check that certificate in the Certificate Manager to see if it OK.
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced : Encryption: Certificates - View Certificates > Authorities
Stored intermediate certificates show as "Software Security Device" in the "Security Device" column in the Certificate Manager.<br />
Build-in root certificates show as "Builtin Object Token" on the Authorities tab in the Certificate Manager, so do not remove those.<br />
You can try to remove the currently stored intermediate certificate to make Firefox store a new version.

  • HT202213 Does Itunes home sharing have the potential to lock you out for accidently putting in the wrong information?

I am trying to log into my homesharing network under another users name and password that I know is correct. After several attempts I realized I had a "," where a "." should have been. Now that I have fixed that, I still seem to be getting errors about having the wrong info put in. Does the system lock you out for a certain period of time if you attempt it wrong too many times?

Me too I have the same problem as MicheleP57!!!! What can I do???

This is not the first time I've tried to add exceptions, but it is the first time I've not been able to even click the "I Understand The Risks" option.
Note: The option is not invisible or missing, it is un-clickable.

  • I have the iPhone4. It wont stay on unless it's plugged into the charger. When on the charger it doesn't get service or connect to wifi. Sometimes, even on the charager it shuts off. Note: It's always on 100% to 90%. How do I fix this?

As stated. I have the iPhone4, I've had it personally for a year now. It's a hand-me-down phone from my uncle who had for for at least two years. For an old phone it worked perfectly. The ocassional hang up on the caller when I try to lock it, but overall it worked perfectly.
Now, it started to glitch out a lot. From not letting me unlock my phone for the few minutes, to now shutting off on on regardless of where it's at. I started noticing that my phone would shut itself off, even at 40% when I'm at work. To fix it I would have to find a charger, plug it in for a few moments and it would turn back on. I would be cautious not to put it upsidedown otherwise it'd shut off again.
As of last night, ((9/18/13 )) My phone turned off. I've already gone through the charade numerous times. So I put it on my charger but this time when my phone turned on I didn' have service and it didnt get wifi. Even the red buttons/notifications on my phone were there but didn't read any numbers. Obvioulsy I couldn't make calls or even send a text messages. Sometimes when it turns on I can't even use my apps. Even when fully charged, the moment the chargers is slightly out my phone shuts off as if it died
Now, my phone even on the charger shuts on and off. I'm unable to use apps. I get no service or wifi.
Is this fixable? Or has my phone had it's last Hoorah?

it sure sounds like the battery is defect

  • This Connection is Untrusted Error

Having trouble with my Mac or Mozilla. I keep getting the "This Connection is Untrusted" on 3/4 of the websites I visit during a session on the internet. I have made sure that I have the Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.0 Protocols checked.
I might have deleted some security certificates or added some add-ons right before I noticed the error message.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

I am putting in for jobs and it is not letting me go to the next page. I am getting the below message and cannot figure out how to make this problem stop. I did not have this problem in Explorer. I am getting this message...I have say allow it, but then I get this message and cannot go any further - The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided
    This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to psappprd1.is.wfubmc.edu:8002, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
    What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
psappprd1.is.wfubmc.edu:8002 uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.

  • I just downloaded the new version of Firefox and now every site I used to use such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube show "This Connection Is Untrusted"

I just downloaded the new version of Firefox and now every site I used to use such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube show "This Connection Is Untrusted". Even when I do accept the risks the site no longer looks the way it's looked for years. Twitter doesn't even give me the option to accept the risks at all and shows this error (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer). I've tried resetting Firefox, I've checked the time and date, and I've removed and added Firefox to see if that would work. Nothing seems to be working so I can see the sites the way they normally would be instead of "coded". Can anybody help me please?!!! Thanks

ok, unfortunately the fiddler2.com issuer in certificates might be a sign of unwanted software present on your pc that is intercepting secure network traffic. please go into the system control panel and uninstall programs like BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, SafeGuard or other software that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally.

  • Every time I try to log into ANY website that is secured, I get an error message "This connection is untrusted."

    The error message is:
    This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.facebook.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
    What Should I Do?

www.facebook.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
If you understand what's going on, you can tell Firefox to start trusting this site's identification. Even if you trust the site, this error could mean that someone is tampering with your connection.
Don't add an exception unless you know there's a good reason why this site doesn't use trusted identification.
Steps I have take so far:
Verified that system clock is correct
Cleared all cache, history, cookies, etc.; didn't help
Started Firefox in Safe Mode; didn't help
Disabled all Firefox extensions; didn't help
uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox using Control Panel; didn't help
Ran Microsoft Safety Scan for malware; nothing was found
    Other information:
This problem exists ONLY in my user profile and ONLY in Firefox. All 5 other users can run Firefox with no problem. I can run IE and Chrome with no problem.
Problem exists in ALL secured (https) sites.
I use Avast and Windows Firewall. Had never heard of ESET or BitDefender before searching these forums.
A lot of the sites don't give me the option to Make an Exception. The two that I tried to make exceptions for, still wouldn't open.

  • This Connection is Untrusted keeps coming up. It won't accept any certificates.

Whenever I try to go to any page that requires a log in I keep getting this message page "This Connection is Untrusted". On some pages it won't give me the option to accept and go on ( example: when I try to log in to YouTube). It seems that Firefox does this when I unplug my computer for a couple of days. I've tried to go into settings and change the certificates part but I can't get anything to work.

Check the calendar/clock on your computer, to be sure that the date/time are correct. If your computer will not hold/keep the correct information, you may need to replace the "coin" battery on your motherboard (see your manufacturer or your computer manual for instructions and to determine whether you have a replaceable battery or if it is soldered to the motherboard).

  • Firefox (latest versions) on both Mac 10.6 and Windows 7 show "this Connection is Untrusted" on my bank site

This started for me 1/17/2011 on the savingsbank.com website:
Firefox (latest versions) on both Mac 10.6 and Windows 7 show "this Connection is Untrusted" on my bank site https://www.savingsbank.com
NO other browsers - Explorer, Chrome, Safari - give this error box on this site. Please advise if this has to do with the bank site? or Firefox compatibility.
Saw in a forum someone else having this problem and they were told it had to do with their Date and time being off?? I've been on several computers, all with the correct date and time and they've all shown this Insecure Certificate statement on my bank site with Firefox and no other browser.

I've looked at the banking site with IE8 and it does NOT show me that "This connection is Untrusted" window. (please see attached screen shot of viewing the site with IE8) It opens fine and has "Identified by Network Solutions" showing on the address bar as it always does.
The latest version of Opera (not earlier ones) does show a problem with the website's security certificate.
We've contacted the bank about this, and they say there's no problem with their certificate but are looking into it.
My question remains, why only Firefox and one version of Opera claim this and NO other browser?
