  • Could take the same JNDI-names for both tags: jndi-name and local-jndi-name

    Hello!
I try to design the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml descriptor and I ask myself, if I could
take the same JNDI-names for both tags:
    <jndi-name> and <local-jndi-name> ?
Could you give me and advice if this is ok?
    Thanks

if you have two separate interfaces, you cant bind them to the same jndi
name. you will have a local home that extends EJBLocalHome and a remote
home called EJBHome. also you need to know which one you are looking up
so you can cast it properly, and use it property (remote interfaces need
PortableRemoteObject, remote parameters are passed by value, ...)

I would suggest checking out http://www.logiforms.com. They have really good PDF support for both hosted PDF's and generating PDFs. You can:
populate PDF forms from a web form submission
Merge multiple PDF's together using conditional logic
Include uploaded images in the generated PDF
    Get Electronic signatures on PDF's
Use conditional logic when creating PDF's
Convert HTML to PDF. You design in HTML and CSS and use form field wildcards and generate the PDF
More of the PDF features are explained here:
PDF Form Creator | PDF Form Maker | V3.Logiforms.com
They are also offering a 25% discount to anyone coming from Forms Central...

Mohamed Ahmed Database Administrator & Developer

    Hi, MohamedDBA.
I agree with Horizon_Net that the MCSD: Web Applications certification would be best for your certification goals. Especially since you are concerned with becoming certified in the future of database development technologies.
Specifically, the 70-487 certification exam covers programming with WCF (for data access over the internet/intranet), Entity Framework (for data access anywhere), Web API (REST Services for data access over the internet/intranet), and Microsoft Azure
(for hosting databases, applications, and much more in the cloud). Most likely, you will be managing SQL Server databases in the cloud in your future.
I highly recommend that you swap 70-483 for 70-480, which will still count for the
MCSD: Web Applications certification. The 70-483 C# programming exam will be really useful while studying the C# language, which is used by the 70-486 and 70-487 exams. As well, just by passing this one exam, you will earn the title
Specialist: Programming in C# title. Here are the details (including the ability to swap the two exams, under
Additional Options) for this MCSD title:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mcsd-web-apps-certification.aspx
I must warn you that the MCSA: SQL Server certification will require you to pass the 70-643 exam. It includes content on Microsoft Business Intelligence tools. Specifically, the 70-463 exam requires you to know SQL Server Integration Services
(SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Service (SSAS). Here are the details:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-463.aspx
Please know that the MCSA: SQL Server exams are based on SQL Server 2012 and will remain about SQL Server 2012. Only the four (MCSE) exams (two for each MCSE SQL Server title) are going to be updated to SQL Server 2014 in April 24th, 2014. Here are the details
    from Larry Kaye (Microsoft employee):
    http://borntolearn.mslearn.net/btl/b/weblog/archive/2014/03/10/certification-update-sql-server-2014.aspx

  • HT4527 I have successfully transferred my iTunes folder from an old pc to my new one.  How do I now make this new computer the main synchronising computer for my iPad.  Thank you.

I have successfully transferred my iTunes from my old computer to a new one just brought.  However when I tried to synchronise my iPad to new computer I had a message that said there was an upgrade available which I said I would like to proceed with.  However I then had a message that said I would lose all my apps etc if I did this and that I should use the old computer to do all synching.  How do I make the new computer my main computer for synching.  Grateful for any help.   Sez.

If you migrate your library properly you don't get the wipe & reload problem. If possible revisit your migration, or use the link at the end to associate your device with the new library.
These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should  merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

  • Has 4.1 fixed the Proximity Sensor issue for you?

At work, can't download 4.1 yet, but I'm eager to see if the Proximity Sensor issue will be fixed. This is my last straw, if 4.1 doesn't do it, I'm afraid I can't wait any longer. I need a phone..

For those who are slow on the uptake what is the issue with the proximity sensor? I have noticed no issues with mine.
We have three iP4s in our family and none are experiencing the Prox issue, but for those that do it is extremely frustrating. Proximity sensor system seems to fail and activate the keyboard at odd times allowing your face/ear to randomly press 'buttons' resulting in all sorts of weird behavior.
Got it. Mine is fine so I guess I should be grateful. Apart from the signal issues my phone works perfectly. I hope this update doesn't screw my phone up.

  • How have you made the DInc2 work best for you?

How have you personalized your DInc2 and made it work best for you? I mean, how have you set up the home screens, added/wigits or apps, organized stuff on your phone to make it the best phone for you? I LIKE my DInc2 but don't LOVE it, so I'm looking for some ideas to make it more me.

Here are a few apps I found useful:
    ColorDict - a free dictionary
    ColorNote - a free notepad
Skype - this is the full version downloaded from the market that can take advantage of the front facing camera, not the the skype mobile comes with the phone which doesn't have video call.
Kindle - a nice ebook reader
Yahoo Mail app - it pushes mail to your phone
My Track - a free Google product that uses GPS for tracking. It's useful when you are hiking
Since the HTC Clock/Alarm Clock app is broken, I also downloaded an alarm clock app
I also downloaded a few games to stimulate my brain once awhile.
In case you're interested, here are the apps I have on my home screen:
Yahoo mail, Battery meter, Music, ColorDict, Skype, ColorNote, Gallery, Maps, GPS, Navigation, Camera, Camcorder, Internet, People, Messages, Calender.
I wish the phone can lay golden eggs but so far it hasn't.

  • Making the Aspire One work for you as a desktop.

Heres a photo of how I am using my new Aspire One as a desktop. I decided to get rid of my Acer Aspire x1200 yesterday simply because it draws too much power and can make some heat in the room during the summer time. Note : I still need to buy an external DVD Drive to install programs but I am fine for now.
All you need for basic functionality are the following :
    USB Keyboard
    USB Mouse
    Monitor
Just plug these items in and youre ready to go as a desktop! In fact its so quiet and energy efficient that for gaming ive turned to game consoles from now on.(Of course, the system doesnt choke for casual gaming)

    -- four years of college.
In the mean time, your local library is likely to have many books on computers.

    hi tw
I did my certification in SAP SD from Bangalore by month of October 2012, after that
i received only one opportunity to attend interview at Capgemini, I cleared my
interview but unluckily project was canceled and they haven't done any recruitment.
your view is add on Knowledge, still I am maintaining studying, at least every day 7hrs plus, but problem is, job market or industry not have need of certified person, companies prefer to get 3 years real time exp persons more willingly than certified fresher.
I had discussed with few of the HR managers, their reply was, in certification course there is no real time project training, it’s just about overall SAP concept, so we prefer 1 or 2 years exp people.
So my opinion is going for SAP SD certification is useless and money wasting.
    Thanks

  • What specs would make the perfect MacBook Air for college?

I've decided I'm going to get a MacBook Air for college, but I want to make sure it's the best possible for my four years as an undergraduate so I don't have to get a new one over this time period.
For the processor: how much of a speed difference will there be between the i5 and i7? I'm thinking the i7 will be a better choice, but I really don't know what the difference will be.
For RAM: 4gb should be plenty for four years, right? Right now I have a late 2008 aluminum MacBook with only 2gb of RAM and only recently did I notice it to start getting slow.
Storage: My biggest concern. Will 256gb last me four years? I will be bringing an external hard drive, but I plan on only really using that for Time Machine backups and storage for photos. Should I make the jump to 512gb?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

The $100 upgrade from 4GB to 8GB (personally) I think is a total no brainer. RAM is one of those things that you can never have enough of and whatever decision you make at time of purchase is the one you're stuck with for the life of the machine. I can't tell you how many times I've had a user with the 2GB model from the previous generation complain of sluggish performance over a lack of available RAM. If it was hundreds of dollars I could see but it's not, especially when you factor in the cost of the machine. Over the course of three years the RAM upgrade translates into $2.78/month and you'd be "future proofing" yourself.
As with previous generations, Apple only lets you upgrade from 256GB to 512GB if you buy the higher end model. Which means you're looking at $1999 for the 13" model with 512GB (4GB of RAM) and $1899 for the 11" model (4GB of RAM). Absolutely not worth it, unless you absolutely have to have 300-400GB of data available locally.
I came into the conversation to clear up wrong information. If there's one thing I've learned in my time posting, more points doesn't mean good information. The OP, who's new, had a question about buying decisions and was given bad information. You've never corrected someone when they wrong? Doubt it...
Regrettably, because this an open discussion forum, we're all free to respond to whoever and whenever. It's very possible that the OP may not know the technical differences between the various CPUs and thus would base his purchasing decision on your false information. Imagine his surprise when he's told that his i7 CPU is a dual core and not a quad core.
Seeing you've asked (so eloquently I might add), I'm happy to provide information on the CPUs.
The i5 in the 13" MacBook Air is an i5-3337U, the i7 is an i7-3667U. Both machines when benchmarked against one another in a PassMark CPU test scored as followed:
    i5 - 2,652
    i7 - 2,841
A difference of 189 points. You're a numbers guy, Kappy. So if real estate property #1 is worth $2,652,000 and real estate property #2 is worth 2,841,000 how much more is that property worth? It's sure not 25%.
My apologies to the OP for the divergent of your topic, but I think it's important when a frequent poster who's opinion is highly regarded but (other) members on here to be corrected when bad information is provided. I know I would expect the same correction if I recommended something incorrectly.

  • What could change the Computer ID used for the licenses in NI License Manager?

at our customer site we originally set up our software which uses the Vision Run-Time and Vision Acquisition Software.    We purchased a license for the PC and it was installed. It has been running since July.   but today the customer started getting errors asking for the license. using NI license manager we see "Status: Activated for a different computer"
looking further we now see a different "Computer ID" code   I have original screen shots of when I originally applied the license so I know the Computer ID was not a typo.
The customer says no one has swapped out the PC's,  but is currently looking to see if any other work was done.
    Has anyone expirenced this before?

I hope your problem was solved by now.
If not, is your customer using any VPN software?
VPN software creates virtual MAC address, and somehow NI License Manager will use that for computer ID.
A known case is that VPN software by Juniper Networks will randomly create a virtual MAC address
every time the computer reboots. This will screw up NI License Manager because the computer ID will be different every time
    computer reboots.
A workaround is to ask NI for an activation code based on computer ID that is generated from your hard drive.
With this, unless you change your harddriver or format it, it will keep the same computer ID.
That is exactly what my problem was.  I ended up getting a computer ID based on the harddrive.  The thing is that when performing the "automated" activation, it uses the computer ID from the MAC address.  So I have to activate over email, change the file so that it uses my harddrive based computer ID, send it, apply the received codes.  It is kind of a pain, but not that bad.
