THIS CURRENTLY POSSIBLE?? - Displaying multiple psd inside editor??
Not sure how well I can explain this. This is an idea that I would THINK photoshop would have but perhaps I am not aware and have been doing this the HARD way??
* Let's say I am creating a website template which usually consists of a HEADER, FOOTER, (perhaps a LEFT, RIGHT) and a CONTENT center region. What I am CURRENTLY been doing is the following:
Let's say I am working on a Decoder page called Decoder.psd and in order to create the website layout, I create 5 folders in the layers pallete which contain the contents of each region of the layout.
1. HEADER
2. FOOTER
3. LEFT
4. RIGHT
5. CONTENT
Now SURE I can ignore the header, footer... but it makes it MUCH EASIER to work with designing wise when I can see exactly what the finish product will look like in realtime in the same screen. Unfortuntely there is a DISADVANTAGE to this which hense the reason for this posting. If I decide I want to change something in the ie. Header and footer design, I would have to edit each of the psd files individually and basically copy/paste the HEADER and FOOTER layer pallete folders so each of my template pages are updated.
What I am wonder is if there is a way to have say a DECODER.PSD file which only had the contents of the decoder deisgn in the layers pallete, and then be able to SHOW other layer contents (or perhaps just the end result) of another psd file in the design workspace?
Similar to how a FRAME would work in html. You have each layout seperated into individual html files (in this case individual psd files for each part of the layout regions) and DISPLAY other html pages (in this case, other psd contents) in specific areas of the page (In this case the workspace).
This is a feature that SHOULD be in photoshop especially for website designers so I would assume it IS and I am just not aware of??

Failure to display multiple lines om editor screen
I converted a form from v 4.5 to 6I. This form(in v 4.5)for a text item that was associated to a editor had a value in the mulit-line property of the property palette = 'False', yet in the 4.5 version multi lines on the editor screen have always been displayed.
When I converted this same form to 6I, the multi-lines property value was set to 'No'. When I ran the form under 6I, the display of the editor screen was limited to a single line instead of displaying the multi-lines.
I changed the property for multi-lines from 'No' to 'Yes' and then the multi-lines were displayed under 6I. It appears to me that 4.5 did not care what the value for the multi line property was since it displayed multi-lines even with the value = to 'False'.
It appears in 6I it does care what the value is since I had to change the value from 'No' to 'Yes'. Is this the case? If it is that's disturbing since we have many forms that utilize an editor and that would mean I have to go into each form and change that value.
Am I missing something here?
Any help would be appreciated.This is a bug and has been fixed in Patch 3a.
Apply this patch (Forms 6.0.8.12.x) and it will work.

Hi....I'm having this problem of having multiple reports inside one single report. Basically what i wanted to built is a Dashboard that contains 4 main subjects:i)Sales - Contains graph that can be drill down for further detailsii)Internal Process - Contains tables that can be drill downiii)Profit/Lossiv)HRAs far as i know, since all four are of different fact table data, they cannot be all thrown inside one single report to be built on. So i came out with using subreports instead for each components and then finally putting them all together as subreport inside the main report(Dashboard).However, i just realized that by doing that, whenever i clicked on the reports that i wanted to drill down with, it will prompt that particular report that i clicked into a new page, and then from there only i can perform drill down.Is there anyway to enable me to straight away drill down the Sales and Internal Process reports from the main reports(Dashboard) instead of having to click twice as that will be unnecessary right?Or mayb if there's another better ways to do what I have to do? I have had the exact same issue but with a projector.
The issue lies with Mountian Lion 10.8.2.
I tried many a combination with no luck to get HDMI working.
Took my mac into the apple store and came to the conclusion it was the software, so I asked them to install 10.8 onto it (this is destructive so a backup is a must)
Bought my macbook home and voila, now displaying through my projector.
There is a small graphics update after 10.8.1 which seems to be the cause.

When using Firefox Sync on multiple devices, I used to be able to 'send' a tab from one computer to another. Is this still possible? If so, how?
I don't mean the ability to see what tabs are open on another device (I know how to do this). But if I am at work and find something that I want to read at home, it would be helpful to 'send' the tab to my home PC so that when I return home, it will automatically open that tab for me.Can anyone help?

You can try using Screen Sharing in the Sharing preferences. Or try a third-party utility such as ScreenRecycler.

we recived ipads today in school to use as a tool and they said if i sync it to my itunes my itunes will be erased and all the ipad stuff currently on there would be erased the second i connect to the school i was wondering if this was possible? i already pointed a couple things that they said was true but were false like useing that find my ipad thing were it just zooms in on your location they also said it would beep and they can track it anywhere witout a 3g network which we use the wi fi. teachers can connect to itunes i belive becasue they don't have the same rescrtictions as use students but early in the year they said one teacher tried and failed with the results that said would happen to use. besides ristrictions like loseing the app store and not being aloud to open any app wemb adresses we are to add music via the itunes that i already on the ipad. i was just wondering if there full of it right now because i think they are.
If I were a teacher setting up iPads to be used at school/work, I wouldn't link it to my personal iTunes, rather I'd create/use a different one. If for no other reason than to keep the kidlets and your fellow teachers from possibly accessing your account.

Setting current values in Multiple Select List in SQL Query based Report
Hi,
I have a report based on a sql query that contains a multiple select list. Unfortunately I cannot get the multiple select list to display the current values (p_value) correctly. I have created a page item, :p311_current_versions, that is set using a pre-header process and it returns a value with a colon delimited format e.g. '10.1.2.1.0:10.1.2.2.0'. Then this item is used in the sql query to set the current value (p_value) of the apex_item.select_list_from_query function. However when the table is displayed, instead of having two entries, 10.1.2.1.0 and 10.1.2.2.0 selected, it has an extra entry '10.1.2.1.0:10.1.2.2.0' selected.

I don't think this is possible using the apex_item package. The select_list_from_query function accepts only a single value for the second parameter.

I am using Flex hero which has the added Mobile APIs.
Has anyone been able to extend the MobileIconItemRenderer to display multiple lines of text.
The current version of the MobileIconItemRenderer only displays 4 things: an image on the left, a label on the top to the right of the image , a message below the lable, which could be a sentence that can take multiple lines and an icon on the right.
So I would like to replace the messageField content with multiple single lines , one after the other.
Has anyone does this?
Otherwise, i suppose I would have to implement my own ItemRenderer if I want to customize the location of the components inside the item?

I'm assuming you are using a MySQL database. What does your query return when you run it from the MySQL prompt? It's good practice to execute your queries in some SQL client before hand.
From MySQL Reference Manual:
The LIMIT clause can be used to constrain the number of rows returned by the SELECT statement. LIMIT takes one or two numeric arguments.
If two arguments are given, the first specified the offset of the first row to return; the second specifies the maximum number of rows to return. The offset of the initial row is 0 (not 1):
mysql> select * from table LIMIT 5,10; # Retrieve rows 6-15
If one argument is given, it indicates the maximum number of rows to return:
mysql> select * from table LIMIT 5; # Retrieve first 5 rows
In other words, LIMIT n is equivalent to LIMIT 0,n.
Just a note, LIMIT performs much faster on large result sets, however, it is a non-standard MySQL extension, and therefore, it is suggested to avoid using it in queries.
First thing I can see is that the way you are using LIMIT, the first two records will always be returned. You would need to pass two parameters (or at least one -> start) to queryCategory, i.e.

Also, you don't need to execute another query (the countData function) to get the record count, simply move the ResultSet cursor to the last position and get the row number, i.e.

I'm sure there is a more elegant solution out there. I believe that the standard taglib has some tags which can do this for you. Hopefully someone can confirm this can possibly provide further details.

I would like to display multiple channels of acoustic data on one waveform graph. I currently have them separated and controlled by tabs inside a case Structure. I sometimes have run into DAQ error because I'm looking at 10 channels of 1/3 Octave data real-time. I woundering if I display all the channels on one waveform graph would I elimnate this error.

I'm acquiring data at 44KHz sample rate and my frequency range is 0-20kHz (2 ni-4472 DAQ cards). Since I been using LV (off and on now for about a year) my application is still in the development stage. I tried including pics but could only include 1 at a time, so heres a copy of my vi for you. There is several things I'd like to figure out, I'm viewing data real-time and writing data to file. However, as I'm writing data to file I don't want the data to display in real-time (I think this is where my problem is). The other issued is when I've stopped writing data to file, the case structure outside the while loop opens the file and processed the data, however I'd like to see the data in the same display (waveform graph in while loop). Take look and give me thoughts.

How to display multiple lines in a text box defined in steploop.
Hi,
I have a requirement to display data ( which is dynamic in nature. I determine data type,length etc dynamically) in a table format. I am using step loop for the same. I am facing a problem. Some field can be as long as 256 char long. Is there any way to display multiple lines in text box defined in a step loop so that I can display the complete string as one entity.
I can't use custom control as custom control can't be defined in a step loop or table controlI would really appreciate your help on this.

Perhaps it is possible to use a <b>mixed strategy</b> consisting of a classical table control (or, even better, an ALV grid list) where you display the first 250 character of the data and next to the table control you place a simple textedit control. When the user selects one of the text fragments in the table control the entire text will be displayed in the textedit control.
