"This email account is no longer accessible by your Blackberry device"?

Please help. I have a brand new Blackberry and got an email saying my email addy is no longer accesible by my Blackberry device, and said it's likely caused by a password change. I haven't changed any passwords.
It's telling me to login to my BlackBerry Internet service account to verify the password is correct, but I have no idea what it wants me to do. I just got it last week, and attached it to my work email addy, and until an hour ago, it worked fine.
How do I access my BlackBerry Internet Service Account, and how do I figure out how to log in from there? Was it a special account I opened? I set up my email access thru Outlook and then configured it in the BlackBerry itself.
Thanks for help!

Access the Email Setting Apps on your home screen -> login using required user name & password (if set previously) -> click email accounts -> delete the problematic mail ID and reintegrate again.

  • Email account is not currently accessible using BB internet service

    Hi,
I got message from RIM that my email account is not currently accessible by my BB device since Friday, August 20, 2010. Before that date is fine.
The message is exactly the same as in this forum http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Curve-BlackBerry-8300/Email-not-accessible-from-Bl... but following the instructions did not solve the problem.
Our company mail server running using Postfix with IMAP, IMAP-SSL, POP3, POP3-SSL supported.
We can access the mailbox either using Webmail or mail client software such as MS Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.
We also already reset the configuration of the BB using Email Settings but still the email did not come to our BB.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks beforehand

This problem has been solved. The problem is in RIM DNS. Their DNS can not resolve to my domain *.net-zap.com eventhough testing using cache.opendns.com to *.net-zap.com is fine.

  • No longer use this email account but how do you backup the email that is...

No longer use this email account but how do you backup the email that is in the "example" folder, So that I can delete the account on my mail app?

Not sure what you mean. Deleting a POP account only deletes the messages stored in the account’s mailboxes, not any messages stored in custom “On My Mac” mailboxes, if that’s what you mean. It’s not that Mail goes after your mail trying to delete as much as it can. It’s just that if a mail account is deleted, then its mailboxes cannot exist anymore...
That said, instead of deleting the account right away, you can just disable it (i.e. turn OFF Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Enable this account), leave it that way for some time, and delete it only after making sure you didn’t miss anything while the account was disabled.
BTW, if you back up your data, and the ~/Library/Mail folder in particular, you won’t have to worry about accidentally losing anything as a result of doing something like that...
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

  • How do I reset the password of an old login with an email account that no longer exists?

Years ago, I bought songs in the iTunes store with an old email account that no longer exists.  I type my answers to the security questions, but the answers aren't working for some reason.  So neither of the normal ways to reset a password.  Is there a way to be able to figure out or change the password so that I can listen to this music once again?

If you can't get it reset it http://iforgot.apple.com
then you will need to contact Support in your country to try and get access to the account (they can also reset your questions) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
If you do get access you can then change the primary email address on it e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes ot via http://appleid.apple.com

You can't delete an existing account, you can only choose to stop using it.  It will still be there should you decide to use it again in the future.

  • Forgot my password and the associated email account is no longer active

I cannot for the life of me remember the password for my desktop. I moved some stuff around in my house and so I hadn't plugged in my desktop in months. It demands a password and I can't remember it. Making matters worse, my old email account is no longer active and so i can't even get reset information.
    What's my next move?

  • Your Emitac Mobile Solutions LLC email service is deactivated, Email messages are no longer being sent to your Blackberry device

    Hi
I just got this message yesterday: Your Emitac Mobile Solutions LLC email service is deactivated, Email messages are no longer being sent to your Blackberry device.
And since then, i havent being able to set up more than one email and i subscribed for 4.
I have rebooted\,, sent service books and hard set the phone so many times.
    What should i do?
    Thank you

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
From your post, I cannot quite tell if you did all of this, in exactly this way. Hence, with a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!

  • "This iCloud account has already been added to your iPhone"

I have iCloud set up on my device.  I have my Apple ID associated with a new .me address.  I can sign in to iCloud.com and type in my AppleID and password and view, send and receive email from my .me address.  My AppleID and me .me address are two separate things.
However, my phone has no mailbox set up. When I touch the mail app icon, my iPhone prompts me to add an account.  If I select iCloud, there are two possibilities that both result in the same error. The options are:
1: enter my .me address and password
2: enter my Apple ID and password
The error is: "This iCloud account has already been added to your iPhone."
    Anyone else having this problem?
(I have the exact same setup on my iPad 1, and it's working as normal, I can use the mail app on iPad to access, send and receive email from my .me address)

I fixed it.  The answer is to remove the iCloud account from the device from Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then to re-add the account via mail.

  • HT1727 I have 2 Apple ID's one from 2008 which is an email account I no longer use. Can I terminate this account and just use the preferred one?

I have 2 Apple ID's one from at least 5 years ago which I no longer use - last purchase 2008. It is linked to an email account which I no longer use regularly. I established this account on my laptop which I use in the city where I work. The newer account uses an Apple ID which I use to purchase music and relates to an email account I now use at my home PC in another community. Can I somehow terminate the old apple account and ID? Will i lose anything? It is causing problems syncing my iPod. Wisely I have decided to sync only with my home PC from here on. Advice would be appreciated.

Having read some other posts I think I have answered my question. If I was somehow able to terminate my old (unwanted) account and Apple ID I would no longer be able to access the material I bought with that ID-  so I'm stuck. I have to learn how to manage that situation.
This is unfortunate for Apple consumers. Life is complicated for families these days and this "rule" although it is in place to prevent cheating and fraud makes things unnnecessarily difficult for me and my family as in my niaevity (sic) with the online world I bumbled into this situation. Not everyone is out to rip off Apple - one of the worlds richest corporations- or the entertainers who market their work through iTunes.I would just like to be able to enjoy the entertainment I pay for where and when I like to on whichever computer is available to me. And I'm not terribly computer literate.
It would have been nice to have had the opportunity to speak just once to a real person in the employ of Apple to explain my situation to them.

  • 10.3.1.1779 causes three out of four of my email accounts to no longer download new messages (I consider it bricked)

I started using my mothballed and unlocked Q10 a week ago, and unfortunately it was set to Automatically Download and Install Software Updates.
After updating to 10.3.1.1779 I noticed three out of my four email accounts aren't downloading new email messages.
The only way to get new email messages is to delete the email account and then create it again.  The problem is this is a temporary fix, and after a day or so the email accounts will stop refreshing.
I have the same issue with my new (few week old) Passport (10.3.1.1372).  Blackberry support indicated this is a known issue and all I can do is wait for an OS update.
In fact I took the SIM from the Passport and put it into my mothballed Q10, because as far as I'm concered a Blackberry that can't download new email messages is a bricked smartphone.
I will mothball the Q10 again with my brand new (weeks old) ATT Passport.  They will sit gathering dust for months+ until the OS gets fixed.
Luckily I have a Z30 and Z10 to use, and they have old OS 10 versions without this bug.
Blackberry better get this fixed ASAP.  I'm actually considering switching to Iphone because of this, and I'd never thought I'd say that.  A smartphone that can't reliably download email is a brick, it can't be trusted, there is almost no point in carrying it.
I can wait a month or two, after that I'll be rethinking my use of Blackberry.
What would the average person do with this problem, they don't have five unlocked BB10 devices like I do.  They only have one.  They will have to stop using their BB and get another device.
I'm not sure how to back out the OS version.  I'll look into that next.  I already miss the Q10.

Now I now know exactly what is happening, however don't know how to permanently fix the issue.
What is happening, is duplicate Inbox's are created for the account on the BB.
I discovered this by pressing the "v" on the top of the displayed account.
When you do this you can see Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, etc.
I notice > 1 Inbox.  Actually this morning on my Q10, I had two Inbox's, now three.
None of them are green icons with a circular set of arrows.
If I'm missing a received email on the currently displayed Inbox, I'll find it in another of the Inboxes.
This is a total pain in the butt.  I hope Blackberry knows this is an issue.
I'm not even sure how to report it, without paying for support !
For now I'll delete, then add back the account, to atleast start fresh with one Inbox.  I'm sure multiple Inboxes will show up over time.

  • HT4972 what happens if original itunes account is no longer accessible

my original itunes account is no longer available to me.  My computer crashed and i have since been using another computer. I need to update my ipad.  Do I have any options but to sync to this new computer?
    Thank you for your help

If you have another computer, you can authorize that computer with your Apple ID and Password. [Store - Authorize This Computer]
Then, in settings, set it up to NOT automatically sync your iPad when it is recognized in iTunes. [Edit > Preferences > Devices > Prevent iPods, iPads, iPhones From Syncing Automatically]
Now, connect your iPad to your computer with iTunes open.
Once iPad is recognized on the left side of iTunes Screen, right click it and choose Transfer Purchases.
From then on, you can update and use iTunes on that computer just like your old computer.

  • HT1349 I have multiple Itunes accounts I would like to recover and merge the music purchased if possible. Some of the email accounts are no longer active. who can help ?

I have several old I tunes accounts I would like to re-cover  the music from, and possibly merge all into one current account.
How , if at all can this be accomplished?
The accounts have  email addresses no longer usable .
Is there a specific Apple I-Tune support group I can be directed to?

Apple IDs cannot be merged.  You can change the email and name of an ID, but not merge it with another.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/HE37.
