I plan on posting a similar post on Adobes forums after this.
It seems to me that this whole thing is political. I don't mean dem/rep political. If an iPhone can play Super Monkey Ball, tell me where my friends are, let me get meeting reminders and look up someone in my enterprise of over 4000 users instantly, then it can freakin' run Flash! Take a step back and do what's right for the consumer!!!! Oh and copy and paste would be nice too.
No, it's more that Adobe doesn't have the talent or skill of a Sega or an Electronic Arts. They've been doing amazing things with limited hardware on portable platforms for years. The closest Adobe has ever gotten to their level of expertise is a severely scaled down Flash Lite. Flash Lite will not display content like you'd find at, say the cartoon network website, so it's not even a workable solution.
Maybe if Adobe were to hire some games programmers, they'd learn how to write quick efficient code that would allow Flash not only on the iPhone, but a myriad other portable devices as well.

I know this has been done to death, but I JUST SWITCHED!!!
I just can't get over how cool Macs really are. I just got this here Mini and even though it has 256 MB Ram and Panther on the hard drive, it is STILL leaps and bounds better than what I had. Lemme fill you in on my history a minute... I bought a PC as a first computer about 8 months ago and it was mistake #1! Winblows EX-PEE worked fine at first, but even though I spent (wasted) over $200 in virus and spyware protection and internal firewall-which was mistake #2, it got slower, and sloowwer, and sllllooooowwwwweeeerrr. And some programs just stopped working. I never used Linux before and knew absolutely nothing about it. So I said "What the hey? For $15 I get a new, more stable OS" So I did it. Mistake#3!!! Install was a little tricky, but not bad. Sure it was virus-free and spyware-free and nearly crash-proof, but that is where the pros END! Cons: Many websites wouldnt load up pictures and this OS was the most un-user friendly I had ever experienced! Installing new software and programs required an iq of 1000 and a couple of IT degrees from MIT!!!
Now before I got this PC from Wally-World (yes you can laugh at me) I had been to Best Buy a couple of times and had my eye on an I Mac. It was out of my price range, but the mini wasn't. And I just couldnt believe HOW SMALL it was! The PC was like $150 cheaper. What a mistake I have learned, but I now know exactly WHY Macs are so much better! So if anyone reading this is considering on getting a Mac, then save up your change and SWITCH!!! I HAVE NOT REGRETTED IT AND NIETHER WILL YOU!
And Tiger did come with my Mini, but I wont install it until I get more RAM, since it it very RAM-hungry.

So, I know this has been asked before. But, has anyone heard from Apple?
So, I know this has been asked before, but I'm just looking to see if anyone had heard from Apple on this at all. The minimum volume on my iPod Classic 160gb is too high, and I can't lower it. (AKA when I kill the volume, I can still hear music).
I called them today, but the rep was pretty useless. He even dropped the "well, just press pause" line on me. Took him a while to understand that when I'm in bed or studying, etc. the minimum volume is too loud, and I wanted to be able to set it lower.
The best workaround I've found so far is to buy headphones with their own volume control, but I just can't help but feel that someone shouldn't have to by additonal gear after buying this thing on account of such a basic feature exclusion.

I've heard all of what you spit up before. And for your point of "Well, in several cases, people have complained (here in these discussion pages), that they expect the volume to be zero when turned to minimum position" that kind of ties in to why Apple should fix this.
And yeah....it's pretty much a given that "you and I have different interpretations of what constitues too loud" This is where the option to adjust the minimum volume comes in to play. (I relly feel bad for you. Honestly. Having to live everyday of your life this way must be just brutal)
The wording would be pretty simple too. " Be aware there are many instances of the minimum volume being too loud, so think twice before dropping a few hundred bucks on this"
And, you're right. It is horrible to 'whine' about being ripped off and asking if there is a possible fix for the issue. I really do apologize for that. I should just suck it up and not voice my opinion that this is not fair to consumers, and Apple shouldn't fix a known issue with a product.
I did reset & restore, I figured that was pretty much implied since I said I spoke to Support.
And I am not at all surprised that you would say "I - for one - am not surprised that Apple might say, "simply hit the pause button"." Again, I don't want it on muteReading your post made my eye twitch at least three times.

... and it's been doing this for a while. PLEASE, I need a solution. It started off (many moons ago) as occasional freezing when listening to music and then one day it froze and stayed frozen. So I restarted my computer and after that, iTunes was never the same. I deleted the version I had and downloaded the newest version. At first, it took a whole night (and by night I mean 12 hours or so) to put all my music back in iTunes and once that was done it would attempt to determine the gapless playback. After a while the number it would reach before it froze got smaller and smaller until it just stopped trying and froze my whole computer the minute I opened it. I mean, I can't click on ANYTHING once the iTunes icon stops bouncing. iTunes will pop up and then that's it for my computer. I tried leaving it alone for an extended period of time to see if it would unfreeze itself and it doesn't.
PLEASE, I need a solution, as I'm sure many other people do as well. All I see are threads about similar issues with no solution handy. I've repaired disk permissions, I've deleted the little com.apple.iTunes whatever that I was supposed to delete (and it ALMOST helped but didn't really), I've reinstalled and reinstalled, and it gets so frustrating because nothing is working.Your example uses straight text links. Nothing fancy, no complicated JavaScripts are used. Just a lot of manual linking.

What can you do if you get this error:
Podcast was not copied to ipod because it cannot be played on this ipod.
I am using the latest firmware upgrade and itunes. I bought my ipod touch last week so it already had the January upgrade.
I changed all to acc format. Then reversed the unicode on the ID3 tags Like a Apple herlp screen suggested. I reset the ipod and then restored. Can any one else give any other suggestions.Hi Clamo!
Well, I think I know what's your problem. If you donwloaded this podcast from iTunes Store, then you can only sync it to your iPod, if the Podcast has the perfect format for iPod! So you can't sync HD Podcasts or Large size... You need to download iPod size podcasts or over the correspondent "Convert Selection to iPod/iPhone". Then, you'll be able to sync it with your iPod Touch -

My zen micro is perfect. ! The only thing is that my battery drains out really fast. Now i have looked at the older threads about battery life and i havnt been able to find a definate answer. Here are the settings for my micro.
eq - off
smart vol - off
contrast - 40%
auto shutdown - 5 mins
backlight time - 5 secs
date and time - on
headphones - stock(the ones given by CR)
The st bar of the battery goes away real fast, like hr, the 2nd bar in like another 2 hrs. and then the whole micro goes off in like 4-5 hrs. Am i missing something or is there sumthing wrong with my micro or the battery? what is the problem?Nomadworld's knowledge base says a lot of things, doesn't necessarily mean they're true
I've personally noticed no issues turning it on and off, and I'm very doubtful that it would do much if anything, especially if in standby mode.
Without experimental evidence though it's hard to prove either way. -
When I click on Firefox Icon to open browser a window opens that says..Firefox has had a problem and has crashed.It says a report will be sent to Mozilla and problem will be fixed when Firefox is closed,(It never opened),I click on close Firefox and it says a report is being sent.Then a few seconds later it says...Report successfully sent and closes.It also asked if I want Mozilla to contact me about this report,I checked yes and have recieved nothing.I WANT MY FIREFOX..This has been going on for since Nov.30th.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

This has been happening when I'm on Facebook and playing games. It just freezes up and not even the cursor moves. I have to hit Ctrl Alt Del in order to disconnect and reload. Every time it happens I have sent report , but nothing seems to help. Yesterday I went and I cleared out all my cookies to see if it would help; but today it's impossible.

the behavior you are reporting can be many things...so lets start asking a few questions. Did you remove or add anything to your computer before all this started ?...can you temporarily disable your anti virus and try again? is IE ( internet explorer ) working fine? -
My old Apple ID is on my iPhone, but this has been transferred to a new Apple ID. The iCloud on my phone is requesting the password for the old Apple ID, but this no longer exists. How do I update the iCloud Apple ID on my iPhone? When I try to get the old passwork through forgot my password, the reply is that there is no account that exists.
Try the following....
Go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID. -
This 16gb model number is ME179BT/A if that makes any difference. It still plays apps and games with ease but will not download media from either the computer or iTunes store. We have restored and reset the thing but it will not work.
This has been playing up since October. It started with it refusing to switch on/off or do anything so I rebooted it then restored it but it didn't download any media. We have tried several times since to fix the issue but it just won't work.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know as the uncertainty of this device is killing me. What has happened to Apple??? We have all had Apple devices for over a decade but suddenly the whole thing has gone mad, constant updates and need to buy newer devices...... I think Samsung may be the better option the way rhis is going? We were always happy to pay the premium for the assurance of quality but that is no longer the case!
Please let me know if there is anything to be done with this so called media player??

Hi. I have an iPhone 4 with iOS7 and no data plan. When I am not connect to wifi I don't receive iMessages, but then when I do connect to wifi I get the messages telling me they were sent earlier. Is there any thing I can do to fix it? I don't remember how long this has been happening but it is very frustrating. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!!!
If you don't have a cellular data plan, then why are you expecting that you will have an active internet connection unless you are connected to wi-fi?
iMessages require either wi-fi or a cellular data connection. -
In the icloud settings, I am told I need to accept the terms and conditions to use icloud. However, when I click on "Terms and conditions", I get a message "unable to connect to server". This has been happening for a week now since I upgraded to iOS 7.06. There is no problem with my wifi or cellular connectivity, all other applications work perfectly. P.S.I have never used icloud before, but wish to do so now. How do I overcome this problem?
Have you turned the iPad off then back on? That often helps with problems.

What's going on with iCloud (MobileMe)? I'm able to sign in here, but I can't access mail on my Macbook Pro, iPhone, or work computer. I always get an authorization error (user-id or passwork wrong). This has been going on for almost a week now.
The single download means that you won't be able to redownload it from the store without paying, either on a computer's iTunes or an iOS device - it doesn't stop you from copying the audiobook to your other computers or syncing it to your iOS devices, you just can't redownload it. (I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them requiring the one-time download.)
You can download audiobooks on your computer's iTunes and sync them to iOS devices, you do not have to buy them directly on the device (if you do then you can copy them back to your computer's iTunes library by connecting the device and using the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option on your computer's iTunes).
What you are doing to sync them should work i.e.
- connecting the iPad to your Mac
- selecting the iPad on your Mac's iTunes
- selecting its Books tab and selecting the audiobooks that you want to sync to the iPad and syncing/applying that selection.
You should then get an audiobooks option in the Music app on your iPad. If they aren't appearing there then do they show in Settings > General > Usage > Music on the device - if you have audiobooks on the iPad then they should be listed there under an 'audiobooks' heading.
By 'restart the iPad' do you mean a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You could also try closing its Music app via the iPad's taskbar : Force an app to close in iOS.
And do a soft-reset and retry syncing.
I assume that music and other items sync ok ? -
I have noticed that this question has been asked a lot, but I am still not understanding. How do I move ALL of my music on iTunes into iCloud? I have subscribed to match and increased my iCloud storage. Only part of my music is in the Cloud and not on my iPhone.
