This has been bugging me... (Private JRE)

I don't have that much space in my hard disk, so I uninstalled the JRE to use the one integrated in the JDK (I'm using 1.5) so I can develop software for my subjects at school AND use Java applets in Firefox.
My question is: How can I use the JRE included in the JDK as if i installed the standalone JRE?

You can't in Windows.
The public JRE installs Registry keys that the private one doesn't, and I believe that FF depends on those (I know for sure that IE does.)
I guess that you can munge the Registry manually, if you can figure out what is needed, to point to the private one.

By "Bounces up and Down", do you mean this:
The content of the screen drops down and about a third of the top of the screen is blank.
When you press the home button or any icon, the content moves back to the top of the screen.
If this is what you are seeing, it is intentional. It is meant as a way for you to be able to easily reach the icons at the top row of the screen.
Double tap the home button. Do not press the button, just lightly tap it.
All the content should drop down.
Pressing the home button or any icon will shift the content back up again.
This is a new feature designed for the larger screens in the 6 and 6+.

That is a very good warning provided by the Download Statusbar extension. Something like that should been built into Firefox. I filed this Bug report a couple of years ago, about the lack of a warning like that.

I have looked everywhere that I can think of to find a list of '''IOfficeAntiVirus providers''' ''(as mentioned in the Bug report)'' that will work with Firefox, so I can't answer that for you.
You might want to ask the developer of the Download Statusbar extension about it. He might know which AV programs are compatible with the Windows API that Firefox uses for the download scan.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

H E L P!!! Firefox crashes when I try to open..even in safe mode.Have sent several reports to Firefox,(which they said they would read report and FIX problem),but nothing has been done.This has been going on for 4 days.H E L P ! ! !

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

My computer keeps crashing when I use Firefox. This has been happenning for the last 2 weeks, but as of 3 days ago it's just impossible. What can I do, I keep having to reload every 10 minutes because it freezes up and crashes.

This has been happening when I'm on Facebook and playing games. It just freezes up and not even the cursor moves. I have to hit Ctrl Alt Del in order to disconnect and reload. Every time it happens I have sent report , but nothing seems to help. Yesterday I went and I cleared out all my cookies to see if it would help; but today it's impossible.

the behavior you are reporting can be many things...so lets start asking a few questions. Did you remove or add anything to your computer before all this started ?...can you temporarily disable your anti virus and try again? is IE ( internet explorer ) working fine?

Try the following....
Go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID.

How to get storage on my phone again. PLEASE HELP this has been an issue for a LONG time now.

almost ALL of my iphones memory is being taken up by "other" i only have 1 GB of pictures & under 1 GB of apps. I actually had to delete all my apps just so i would still have space on my phone. I am not looking to buy more memory. My family cant really waste our money on that kind of stuff right now. I have tried restarting my phone but when i back up to icloud my phone is full of memory still. No i have no problem with getting all my pictures off my computer. But is there a way to reset my phone and ONLY keep my contacts. No other memory stays on my phone just my contacts. that way other will go away? If i need to go to the apple store i will go there. I just need to know what to do. another question i had was, now that i downloaded the icloud pannel, if i were to delete my icloud backup account, would all my information, like contacts, notes, reminders, etc, still be saved on icloud.com ? so i could just reset my phone completely. Get all my contacts off of icloud.com. & download all my pictures from my laptop onto my phone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER. this has been a major problem for me for about a year & now its getting to the point where theres nothing left i can do. It's really stressing ALWAYS having to get online to try to find a way for my phone to not run out of storage. Please and thank you.

Hi All,
I had this problem today myself, and was frustrated repeatedly by the '4002' error.
I have literally just fixed the issue by doing the following steps:
1: Go to the 'Store' tab and select 'Turn Off iTunes Match'
2: Return to the 'Store' tab and select 'Update Genius'
3: Wait for this to complete succesfully, the return to the 'Store' tab once more and select 'Turn On iTunes Match'.
4: iTunes Match will now go through the motions and should succeed!

My unibody macbook (latest 2010 model) wont connect to my home wifi. When it does which is rare, it is very slow. I have tried everything from renewing DCHP lease and such. This has been going on for two months.

It will not connect but my other apple devices can connect and the wifi works very well. I have moved houses to my house wifi isnt the same as the old one. Also, i have to type in the password every time even if i click autosave. Sometimes it also says invalid password or connection timeout. This has been going on for two months and is getting really annoying. I've tried most of the solutions listed on other discussions, none of them work. Any other tips? Thank you. 1. Your profile says OS 9.2.x. Is that correct?
2. Impossible to provide "other" tips without knowing what you have aleady tried. What have you tried?

IPod touch 4th gen, will not sync music or movies but plays everything else. This has been since 2 updates ago. We have reset, restored and done everything told but no good has come of it. The identical 1 we have has no issues. It is now on 6.1.5.

This 16gb model number is ME179BT/A if that makes any difference. It still plays apps and games with ease but will not download media from either the computer or iTunes store. We have restored and reset the thing but it will not work.
This has been playing up since October. It started with it refusing to switch on/off or do anything so I rebooted it then restored it but it didn't download any media. We have tried several times since to fix the issue but it just won't work.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know as the uncertainty of this device is killing me. What has happened to Apple??? We have all had Apple devices for over a decade but suddenly the whole thing has gone mad, constant updates and need to buy newer devices...... I think Samsung may be the better option the way rhis is going? We were always happy to pay the premium for the assurance of quality but that is no longer the case!
Please let me know if there is anything to be done with this so called media player??

Yet these songs are still on my ipod after being syncronised and I can play them on my ipod. Please advise how I can find the original files on my pc.

I would copy over the entire thing if you have room. With iTunes 10.4 though, you can download any previous iTunes purchases you have made in the past with your current iTunes account. While in iTunes, look at the left hand side of your screen and select "Purchases" and look at the bottom right corner of the screen and select "Download Previous Purchases". If you have an iPhone, iPod and/or iPad...you can do the same thing from each device. Nice new feature...just remember that those ripped CDs need a back-up!!! Enjoy...

If you don't have a cellular data plan, then why are you expecting that you will have an active internet connection unless you are connected to wi-fi?
iMessages require either wi-fi or a cellular data connection.
