This ipod is currently linked to an Apple ID. Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPod what do i do??

Use that iD to sign and use the iPod.
You can go to Settings>iTunes and App stores and change the ID for purchases. The ID is also used in Settings>FaceTime, Setting>iCloud, Settings>Messages>Send abd receive and Settings>Game Center and can ne changed in those locations.
