This is a non-secure form.

I get that message every time I use a website for my Real Estate business.  It is a very secure site and is only accessible to Realtors.  It logs me out every 3 hours so I have to click Ok to this prompt many times a day.  I don't have to do this but once with Chrome, but for various functional reasons, I want to stay with Safari.  Is there a way to disable that prompt?
FYI, I have already done the following;
Warn when visiting a fraudulent website is unchecked
I have removed all extensions or disabled them

Safari > Preferences > Security > Ask before sending a non-secure form...
You can suppress the warning by unchecking that box. But it's not a good idea. If you get that warning, don't submit private information in the web form.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

  • Security pane in preferences is missing cookies, databases and non-secure forms options?  Also Privacy Pane is totally blank?

I wanted to delete some cookies.  But when I went to the Security Pane in Safari Preferences, it does not show any of the following categories/settings option:  nothing for cookes (nothing for accept or show or anything else about cookies), nothing for databases, and nothing for non-secure forms.  No controls for these are showing in the Security pane.  Also, the Privacy Pane in Safari preferenes is totally blank--I can't set anything on that.  Where are these controls/settings options, why can't I see them?  I am using OSX 10.6.8 and Safari Version 5.1.9, I have a Mac Book Pro 3.06 Intel. Thanks.

Uninstall SIMBL as follows. Back up all data before making any changes.
Triple-click the line below to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V), and press return. A folder will open. From that folder, delete the items listed below (some may be absent.) You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
    Application Support/SIMBL
    InputManagers/SIMBL.bundle
    LaunchAgents/net.culater.SIMBL.Agent.plist
    ScriptingAdditions/SIMBL.osax
Log out and log back in.
Make sure you never reinstall SIMBL. It’s likely to come bundled with another third-party system modfication that depends on it. If you want trouble-free computing, avoid software that makes miraculous changes to other software, especially built-in applications. The only real exception to that rule is Safari extensions, which are mostly safe, and are easy to get rid of when they don’t work. SIMBL and its dependents are not Safari extensions.

  • Secure and non-secure access to the web application in one war

Say we have one web application (in one war) which includes JSP, servlets and the security intercepter. There is one business requirement to have most of the JSP(s) accessed via HTTPS, but a few JSP(S) accessed via HTTP.
    My questions are:
    a. Is this possible, or a reasonable requirement or a good practice?
    b. if yes, what can we do to make it happen in the security intercepter implementation?
    c. If not, what is the technical reasons?
    Thanks much.

    a) Yes its is reasonable and good practive, there is an overhead using https, so you should only encrypt file you need to. When you use an online store, only account details / payments are https, the shop itself is http
    b) I dont really understand your difficulty. You can define a folder as 'secure' and put all your secure pages in this folder, leaving non secure files in a different folder. Whenever a page in the secure folder is accessed, https is automatically invoked.

  • Mail form editor: error message regarding "non-secure active code"

    Hi,
I'm using the editor for mail forms in CRM 2007. I'd like to create a form containing pictures, personalized fields (e.g. salutation) and hard-coded text.
However, when stepwise adding all of these elements, error message "The content you have entered may contain non-secure active code; so it has been deleted." is displayed in the screen where all elements are shown, so, some kind of WYSIWYG error message. It's not a message of the browser, it's displayed directly in the middle of the content screen and all text, images and fields inserted in the mail before are gone.
    Any idea?
    Regards
    Wolfgang

    Hi,
In one of my previous project I had similar type of issues when designing the mail form, the HTML code changes were happening. SAP follows specific HTML version and you have to stick to that version when coding. Ideal would be design the HTML code and test it bit by bit to ensure that the same is acceptable.

    I use MFE 2.53 to synchronise on Nokia E61 / 61i.
Each time a receive an email i have to validate this message "this site has sent a non-secure certificate" in MFE.
Is there a problem on my Exchange server configuration ( certificate ..) or on the mobile configuration ?

So the certificate installed correctly (meaning you got prompted for the uses and now and you can see it on the list of certificates in the Security settings)? Can't give exact instructions to find this since it depends on device.
When you say "it's not ok", what do you mean? What is the new behavior since you installed the certificate?

  • Saving a filled-in secure form in Reader?

Apologies if this has been covered somewhere in the forums. I've just not been able to find anything that answers this...
I've created a form for a client in Acrobat 9 Pro. Security is set to allow printing and "Filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields." My problems begin when opening the form in Reader X.
The instructions in Reader says "Click 'Sign' to fill out and sign this form. When you are done, you can save a copy by clicking 'Done Signing'"
I click "Sign" and fill-in the form fields. However, "Done Signing" never turns live in the sidebar. It remains grayed-out. The only option available is to "Send Signed Document" using Adobe's EchoSign system. However, doing so simply sends a blank form, with none of the fields filled-in.
Save As... doesn't appear to be an option either, as it will only save a blank copy of the form.
How does a user fill-in and save a secured form in Reader X? Will I have to remove all security from the form altogether? Or is a user doomed to have to use EchoSign...which apparently only saves a blank version?
Side observation: That sidebar is very confusing to the user. What's "Add Text" for? It could easily be assumed that the user needs to click that in order to fill-in the fields. And, there's no need for anyone to sign or "Place Signature" in this form. How can a user avoid this altogether?

If it needs to be saved with Reader, the document has to be Reader-enabled. To do this with Acrobat 10, select: File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features
The EchoSign related stuff in Reader should be ignored for a form like this.
Note that Reader 11, which will be released shortly, is able to save a non-enabled form, but not if the form uses digital signatures. If it does, it will need to be Reader-enabled.

  • How to determine if user is autheticated (from non-secured resource in web)

Is it possible to determine if a user is autheticated from a non-secured servlet in a web application?
I have a servlet served to both public and autheticated users. This servlet performs different logic depending the user whether is autheticated or not.
The getRemoteUser() is useless due to the servlet is not protected (for public users).
My application is set to use declarative security and form based logon.

Please try it out...getRemoteUser is the answer..
For example, Lets consider the following scenario.
    S1 -- secured servlet
    S2 -- public servlet
    (assuming form-login already happened)
    Req1 -- S1 -- dispatches to -- S2 (getRemoteUser returns the user authenticated)
    Req1 -- S2 (getRemoteUser returns null)

  • Trying to pass Login username and password from a non-Oracle Form

I have a form that I am trying to use to pass a login username and password to an Oracle form. The problem is I know Oracle 10g web reports can take login parameters in a URL, but I can't seem to figure out how to encode/hide it and have Oracle read it. I want to be able to hide the username and password (obviously for security) and I also want to be able to pass special characters... does anyone have suggestions? It seems even in Oracle forms there are some issues passing login info because I have built in parameter forms... I have given myself quite a headache either way! We are trying to upgrade from an old, old version of forms and reports and are trying to use as much orginal code as possible. It all works if I pass plain text user name and password... any help would be sooooo appreciated. By the way on the Oracle side I am still pretty much an infant developer... please talk slow and use simple words... ;-p
    Thanks again for any help!

  • Javascript request on non well-formed xml file in Safari

    Hi,
I make an AJAX request to get a non well-formed xml file. On Internet Explorer (domNode is empty) and Firefox (domNode is not empty but a tag "parsererror" is present), I can know if the document is non well-formed but on Safari the request seems to be ok, I get a part of the non well-formed file (until the error).
I would like to say if I can make the difference between a well-formed xml file and a non well-formed xml file (with an AJAX request) on Safari.
    Thanks
    Julien

I have built a desktop application that can use these
calls to check if the xml contained in the document
    called "file" is well formed.
Ok. So, the application works fine then?
    DocumentBuilderFactory domFactory =
    DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    DocumentBuilder domBuilder =
    lder domBuilder = domFactory.newDocumentBuilder();
         domBuilder.parse(file);
They are part of the javax.xml.parsers.*; package.
Problem is that to serve this I need to put it in an
applet but since I have to write the xml string to a
file local to the server the applet is not working.
Huh? You lost me there. Are you getting security exceptions from the applet? If yes, you need to sign the applet. Otherwise, what is not 'working' in the applet compared to the application? Also, why do you need to first write it to a file?
My question is if anyone knows of some classes in the
API that will allow me to check if a String of XML is
    well formed or not.
If the document is not well-formed, the parse() call will throw an exception. Catch this and process as needed.
I basically need to get a string from a field in a
data base in XML format and be able to test it
without first writing it to a document so I can get
    the applet to work.
If you want to access an external database from an applet, you will need to sign the applet. You should not need to first write it to a file before parsing. Rather, simply use a stream (either InputStream or Reader) and wrap it in a StreamSource object.
If anyone knows something on this or has an
    alternative suggestion please do tell.
    Thanks.- Saish

  • Problem with automatic logout between secure and non-secure urls

On my business catalyst page the user login page is located on a non secure url (our site's domain and not worldsecuresystems). When a user is logged in and then views a page on a secure url (i.e. a page to purchase a subscription to a secure zone) it does not retain their login cookie and it appears they have been logged out. This also creates a problem where I cannot pre populate the secure zone purchase form with a user's information based on their account details. Is there a way to retain have both domains recognize the user is logged in to allow the user to freely pass between these domains without having to login twice? I was considering putting the login page on the secure domain and using relative urls for all my links but for some reason some of my pages appear corrupt when viewed on the worldsecuresystems domain so I'd like to avoid this method. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure the referrer paramter is correctly set on the form.
This is the default BC action. But remember the {module_siteurl} will return the host they are currently on. So if this is used on a secure page you'll need to use {module_sitehost} instead
    action="{module_secureurl}/ZoneProcess.aspx?ZoneID=-1&Referrer={module_siteUrl,true,true}&OID={module_oid}&OTYPE={module_otype}">

  • Avoid bar to display or not non secure items

    When I insert to
    http://paphoscarhire.com/
pickup date bigger than drop off date, to get error (in ie7 only) ,
appears a window to display or not non secure items, and to
document window a bar, well why this ? what to do to avoid this
    ?

please clarify what it is you are asking?
there are two possibles i see-
One, you have a flash .swf file that will need to be
    double-clicked to work
and will probably bring up an activeX warning.
The fix for that is to edit the page in dw8.02 or CS3 or to
    use different
code to display it. Google .swf eolas lawsuit
the other possible is that the form's action is to an https
    url.
I don't know why that is used, unless in the next step or so
    of the form
process you are asking for credit card or other sensitive
    info.
If i load the script page itself without submitting, i see
    there the css
file has a path to Your hard drive.
    <link
    href="file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/User/My%20Documents/My%20Webs/pc
    h/styles.css"
that could cause the page to display a warning that there is
    a mix of secure
and insecure data on the page.
