PrinceSo I guess you have a syntax error somewhere in that source file, but since you're only showing that little bit (which looks fine, if it's in the right context considering the rest of the source code), then it's pretty hard to tell you what you did wrong.

In the Music tab of iTunes, do you have 'Include Voice Memos' checked?

This is frustrating because I cannot add to those albums from mobile device, I have to add to them during a Mac sync. I would like to be able to use my iCloud albums to organize my photos but if I cannot access them from apps it seems pointless. I will end up having to maintain both an iCloud library and a separate iPhoto library which is more work that seems necessary. I want everything easy to organize and access. It seems like in this age where most people are more likely to use their mobile devices than their Macs (and some do not even own Macs) that there should be a mobile solution. Hopefully I am simply without a clue and you folks can help me out with a fix or a source of info as a solution. I have not found answers yet.

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

Several points here:
1. Although there is some compatibility between Numbers and Excel files, I doubt very much that "the idea of Numbers is to make it like Excel." The two applications share some similarities, but also have several differences.
2. Your Question is unanswerable in this forum. Apple does not generally reveal future development plans or schedules for its applications, and anyone with knowledge of those plans will be bound by a non-disclosure agreement.
3. "You need to" implies a feature request. If you want to request that a feature be added to a future version of Numbers, that request is better made directly to Apple, via the Feedback channel, than here, where the readers and responders are all users of the software, not developers. From the application menu (the "Numbers" menu in Numbers), choose Provide Numbers Feedback, then make your request for a feature to be added to Numbers.
Meantime, if you absolutely need the macros capabilities of MS Excel, try one of the Office clones—OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice, or NeoOffice, which may offer macro support, or use the Mac version of Excel itself.

Matlab.. something to be with X11??? help!!!! this is frustrating

I just installed a new software called Matalab (I don't know if you are familiar with it, is a math solver using user-friendly programming software). The installation was completed successfully, but then when the software tried to connect to the Matlab site to activate my product (a procedure done automatically after installing the software) the Matlab application just crashed. I restarted my Mac and tried to open the Matlab application again, but it doesn't start. I know Matlab requieres X11 application, so I thought there is something wrong with X11 in my mac, I downloaded X11 from apple site and when tried to install, it said a new version is alredy installed!
This is frustrating!!!
Any clues??

I'm not sure - is your java install up to date? In an XTerm, if you type:
java -version
you should see:
java version "1.5.0_06"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-112)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-64, mixed mode, sharing)
At least that's what I have, and Matlab 7.3 works fine on my G5 and powerbook.
Are you using a local install of the license manager, or do you use a site license connection? If you are using a local install, make sure the license manager is running before launching Matlab.

I'm not clear what you are saying here. Since for S&T versions registration is mandatory, you have a permanent serial on your account and those function just liek any normal serial number of a comemrcial package.

Put them back the same you did originally. Connect your iPad to your computer via USB and re-sync the music you want back to your iPad using iTunes.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

Well, all my PAID, bought on iTunes movie poster art is now missing as well in iTunes 11.1.2. My largeish personal movie collection, wherein I hunted down the poster art and manually added it... all still work. Further, I note, in moving one of my processed films between Macs, the cover art is embedded in the H.264 movie file itself. It cannot go away. As a test of this, I transferred one of my files to a PC notebook of a friend, and even iTunes on the PC sees the cover art fine.
This tells us, code wise, movies from the iTunes Store do not have embedded, rather linked poster art assets, and thus, the link within iTunes between movie and poster art has been severed in this release. This is why an incremental update to iTunes can magically restore all the missing cover art.
A note to Apple Programmers Imagine were I Steve Jobs telling you this. (Oh, I am THAT guy who caused a rewrite of the Apple Store. Remember THAT?) Here is the permanent fix to cover art issues: In a hidden, locked (after edit) Unix file stored safely somewhere, you just have iTunes use an OUTBOARD FILE which simply contains the link data for the art. THEN, when ANY new version of iTunes comes along, it just reads that little file, and NO USER is ever left without art. The file is opened and modified as needed, and just locked up after each change.
Further, the poster art is not searchable by name on your computer if you wanted to do a manual add to permanently fix the problem.
From experience, I can tell you manually adding movie poster art, which iTunes then embeds, is painfully slow even on a fast machine. That is because a huge file must be rewritten. This is why Apple may have reticence - keeping user experience positive.
Further, Apple may be using a direct screen dump technology for the poster art, which puts a graphic onscreen without using further memory. Large collections could tank a lesser machine if this was not used.
Well, at least my movies look good in Apple TV.

Can't remove second display with 8800 GT. please help! this is frustrating!

I have dealt with this problem for a long time now, but having just bought a wacom tablet, I need to finally resolve it and I hope someone here can help because I am at my end with it. I just can't think of anything else.
I have a 8800 GT video card in a Mac Pro. All software is updated.
I have a 30inch apple cinema display, and was using it solo for a long time, then for a project, I hooked an old LCD monitor vida the VGA to DVI adapter to the second monitor slot on the card, and had both monitors running in the extended desktop mode. Everything worked fine.
The problem is, now that I want to get rid of the other monitor, my cinema display does not want to run solo anymore. I have tried rebooting with only the cinema display plugged in, I have tried switching ports on the card (both with and without rebooting), and I have tried unplugging the unwanted monitor. When I do ANY of these, the cinema display goes blue, then black, and the light on the front blinks three times over and over.
It is as tho the video card does not want to autodetect the displays, nor does it want to reset any settings and run without both monitors in extended mode. And since OSX does not give specific software for the video card, I am limited in displays to make any real changes. There is no option for turning off extended desktop, only mirroring the displays (which, yes, when I choose it then unplug the other display results in the same problem of no picture).
My wacom tablet uses the tablet as being the screen from corner to corner, so obviously with the extended display, the center of the tablet is not the center of the monitor and it makes it impossible to use easily.
Please, if anyone has any ideas for me, I am begging for help. This is frustrating to no end!!

Unfortunately what you told me to do still didn't work.
When I re-mirror and then un-mirror the displays it puts it back into extended mode. and when I unplug the second monitor, the HD display shuts down and goes black. it will not turn back on (even with a reboot) until I have something plugged into the other port, at which time it goes back to extended mode.
This is really frustrating, and the first time I have felt helpless with my mac. I try support and they of course tell me they can not help me since the monitor's extended warranty ran out...even tho the computer's warranty is still up and this is of course a video card problem, not monitor.
I'm about to give up and either reinstall EVERYTHING on this **** computer (which will result in me losing a lot of editing add-ons and other programs I bought but stupidly can't remember where I got them from) or just throw the whole thing in the trash. (heh yes, I am that frustrated). :/

If you turn OFF multi-taskng, your toddler won't be able to "swipe" between Apps.
I don't know of any way to disable the "Home" button though.

If you have purchases on your iPod Shuffle that you want to sync back to iTunes, but are under the Apple ID you no longer have access to, you'll need to reset that account information. You can use this link to reset your password.

If that doesn' work or help, you'll need to contact iTunes support and have them walk you through the process of resetting the older account information. Once you know the email and password again, you can authorize your new computer and transfer any purchases from this account back to iTunes.
For all non-iTunes purchased content, you'll need to the assistance of some sort of third party software that is not supported by Apple. See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.
