Verizon is going to lose a lot of customers if they haven't already.. its one thing to do an "upgrade" or whatever your doing but for the sack of your company someone needs to let us know what's going on.. Verizon CS is commenting back on other questions expect for the ones about our service not working.

No purchase is required to install Flash Player. The offer you're seeing is optional. There should be a yellow 'Install Now' button on the bottom right of the page. Is the button not displaying? Please post a screenshot of the page (How to post a screenshot in the forum).

HT1918 my credit card expired, so it tells me i have to update my payment method, in which i do since all i have to do is change the exp date and the 3 digit security number. upon doing this i just get a link to this page "contact apple support"

I am currently deployed near russia, we have internet and everything else works, but when i loaded my redeem card to my acct (which took just fine) it tells me to update my information. upon trying to do this it tells me to go to support page......that does not help, i just want to use the money that i loaded on my acct.

This is just getting even more horrid!

Have an iPod mini, that just froze and then wouldn't turn back on. Then after much button pressing I got the infamous exclamation mark.
So then went online, followed the tips, and got the apple logo, which I then managed to get into disk mode resulting in the disk mode screen coming up.
Then plugged the iPod using the USB port back into the computer, now iTunes isn't recognising the iPod (it's not appearing in iTunes, although 'My Computer' does!
I really need to get this sorted out! what shall I do, as to do the steps suggested, my iTunes needs to see that my iPod is there!!

Ok, this is just getting ridiculous...

Just for kicks, I did a live chat with a Verizon Rep about my order. Now, he did not have any information on my account - I was not authenticated on the site. "Brett" goes on to tell me that the 9/19 ship date does not exist for anyone and that phones will ship on 10/7 not 10/13. I didn't even bother to continue, I just closed the chat.
I think we all realize the madness these phones cause and the logistical nightmare it can cause for carriers, BUT THEY KNEW. It happens every two years. The lack of IT preparedness, cross-department socialization of WHATEVER the story was going to be for consistency's sake and the general apathy being displayed by far too many Reps is plain ridiculous. Come on Verizon. Admit a mistake, people can take that. Your system issues caused people like me to have to wait 3 weeks for a device I was TRYING to order at the starting gun, make it right.Verizon Wireless Customer Support

RE: "Can anyone at Apple confirm that a new driver is on the way" be aware that Apple does not read these forums. Since you just purchased your MBP and are within the phone suport period even without AppleCare, you can certainly call them and log your issues that way, or provide feedback here.
If you do call, be prepared to be told the problem rests with those 10% of your applications, which need to be updated by the companies that developed them. (Apple is not responsible for ensuring that every piece of software out there runs on their machines...) So, your best bet is to contact the companies for the apps that are not displaying properly.

I have updated to lion. Set up an iCloud so contacts and calendar are shared between iMac iPhone 4s and iPad 1. But iTunes is telling me to update the software on the iPad and iPhone, but it just gets stuck contacting the software server. What should I do

I have updated my iMac to lion so I can use iCloud to share contacts and calendar between iPhone 4s and iPads 1. Somehow it seems to have worked although still not sure how to move stuff in and out of iCloud. iTunes is telling me to update the software on the phone and iPad. When I try to do this it just gets stuck with a box saying connecting to software update server. This has never happened before. I cannot update or restore either the phone or the iPad in iTunes although I have synced the info. What should I do?

Something went wrong with the update, this can and does happen with every version of iOS.
There is nothing wrong with the update.
Simply restore the device via iTunes on the computer.
If iTunes is stating it will take hours to update, that indicates an extremely slow Internet connection and is likely the reason the OTA update failed.

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folder.
Back up all data.
Quit Mail.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you'll have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Post your results.
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.

You Sync the Music you want on the Phone via iTunes on your computer.

Please ensure that you are using Adobe Acrobat and not Reader to convert PDF file to word or excel.
Could you tell me whether it is a scanned document? Does this happen with all PDFs or any specific one?
Do you get any error message? What exactly happens when you try doing the same?

Premiere Elements 13 absolutely works with Windows 7!
In fact, I'd highly recommend you download the free trial and give it a test run.
Meantime, go to Windows Update and make sure you have all of the latest Windows updates, including those that don't install automatically. Then go to the nVidia or ATI site and ensure you have the latest driver for your graphics card, and go to Apple.com and ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime, per the program's requirements.

are you getting an error message, Odessa? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
if you're not getting an error message, describe what happens when you try to transfer songs to the ipod as best you can.

Open Pictures folder and move the files named lrcat-journal and lrcat.lock to Desktop.
Make sure that , they are not inside Pictures folder any more and try to open backup from Lighrtroom and check..
Any LRcat file with .lock extension , move it to Desktop.

You have two choices to try & fix this: 1. Backup your phone, then restore as a new device, then restore from the backup you first created, or 2. Follow the advise from this poster:
I had the same problem with the black blocks after upgrading to iOS4 on my iPhone. The reason for the black blocks is that the thumbnail images for those particular images have not been created when the Photo Library has been updated to iOS4. I followed the advice on a couple of blogs and fixed the problem.
1. I downloaded iPhone Explorer free software (http://www.macroplant.com/iphoneexplorer/) so I could view the photo data folders on my phone. I could see that the thumbnail images were missing.
2. I followed a slight variation on the instructions on this blog. (http://blog.mbentley.net/2010/06/iphone-ios-4-upgrade-restore-lost-pictures-in-c amera-roll/)
3. First I copied the Photo Data folder by dragging it from the iPhone Explorer window to my Mac desktop.
4. Through iPhone Explorer I deleted the info.plist file in the Media/PhotoData/MISC folder.
5. I also deleted the Photos.sqlite and PhotosAux.sqlite files in Media/PhotoData.
6. I then rebooted the phone and launched the Photo Library.
7. The Library rebuilt it's self again and recreated the thumbnails.
8. The problem was fixed!!! Thank you M Bentley!

Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
