This Is Just Great. HP Support Assistant Issue (Screenshot Provided To Help Fix)

Hey.
I checked the correct boxes and clicked on "Apply" but nothing happens. Below is a screenshot of what I mean.

Suggest you run the WIn 7 X64 bit Update Readiness Tool.    There is a new HPSA update.  Of quirky note is the description reference to notebook.   Research here states link is correct (sp68201.exe)

  • This is JUST GREAT!!!  No service.

    I upgraded to iPhone 2.0 software and now I cannot get a connection to the servers to finish off the install and get service sent to my phone. Why in the world can't they expand their servers/bandwidth when they launch a new product AND software upgrades...etc.? No One should have to go without service. I cannot take a land line with me in the fricking car.
    Sorry for the rant, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

    just got back from best buy , got my instinct , iphone now on craigs lst. was worth it to pay the cancel fee to ATT. the iphone goes through this every update, so get used to it if your new to iphone.
    Amazing , if i would have listend to my fridns and illegally updated it yesterday id be fine. But no i had to follow the rules.

  • Well, This is just great...

    Upgraded to iWeb 1.1. Built a new site, went to publish, and nope...Can't publish. Get an error message that says "An error occured while publishing file blah blah blah." It always says something different.
    Does anyone have a fix for this yet? I've read a few things on this forum about it, but they all seem to be 10 step programs that I don't understand. Basically, I want my website to publish when I push the "Publish" button.....
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Until Apple releases a fix, you'll have jump thru hoops to publish straight from iWeb to .mac. You could publish to a local folder then upload but then your slideshows are presented in the brush metal style as well as some other .mac specific features like counters, comments, etc.
    Try this, it's not as bad as it seems especially if you have several hundred MB to gigs of data invested in iWeb.

  • After Aperture 3 update, I can't access old libraries. It tells me to close and relaunch but when I do this it just opens again on the same library. Please help!

    I have just downloaded the latest iOS update for my computer, and then I was unable to use Aperture until I upgraded its software also. I did this, and it seemed to work fine on relaunch with new version - the last library I had open worked fine. BUT yesterday I tried to open a different library and I got a message saying
    "the selected library is from an older version of Aperture and requires a relaunch to switch"
    I click the relaunch button and it relaunches but it just opens on the same library again. I don't know how to make it relaunch properly with the different library. Please help!! Thanks

    TThe message is a bit deceptive the old libraries need to be upgraded before they can be used. To upgrade quit Aperture select one of the old libraries with the Finder and double click it. This will open Aperture on that library and ask if you want to upgrade it.
    WWhile the procedure is safe it is always a good idea to have a backup of the libraries before doing this.

  • Microphone issue that i need help fixing

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6b55dx laptop and I am having issues with my HD IDT codec intergrated mic, It stopped working and all of the settings are correct and it is saying the device is working properly but i still continue to not be able to record anything. External mics work but the intergrated doesn't. I have already tried to udate, roolback then update, and uninstall and reinstall the driver for it and non of that works. if i tap the top of the laptop above the lcd where the camera and mic are it gives the sound indicating that something is being turned off. Any suggestions or has anyone had the same issues?

    How exactly did you try to do this? If you tried so by pressing "C", instead try to press the option-key (alt-key) immediately after having pressed the power button. Normally, you'll be presented with all bootable disks, and you can choose which one to boot from. Another possibility is that you'll be presented with a password-screen, which means that a firmware-password has been set. In that case, you'd be better off by asking the previous owner for the password.

  • HP Support Assistant not installing graphics updates

    I am trying to update my graphics driver through the HP Support Assistant, as it tells me that there is an update to it. It goes through the process of downloading the update, but it doesn't instal. I have already tried uninstalling the support assistant with Microsoft Fixit and reinstalling. I even ran the assistant as Administrator to see if it was a permissions issue. Unfortunately the driver page for my computer (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-110-000-Desktop-PC-series/5359000/model/5365304/drivers) does not have the new one 10.18.10.3621Ap1/sp67247.
    Do I need to delete my old graphics driver first? Is there a place where I can just direct download it and install myself? Is there a location where the Support Assistant downloads it to that I can get it from there? Any help that isn't simply "Uninstall and Reinstall" would be greatly appreciated.
    Included are pictures of the Support Assistant and what is happening.

    I have read your post on how your HP Support Assistant is not installing graphics updates on your desktop computer, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
    To ensure your HP Support Assistant software is functioning correctly, I recommend re-installing the original software and hardware drivers that first came with your computer. This can be done by following the steps in this document on Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 8). To update the newly installed software, please follow this resource on Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8).
    I recommend returning your system back to a previous restore point. This can be done by following the steps in this document on Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).
    Should the problem continue, I suggest performing a backup and recovery of your operating system. This can be done by following the steps in this resource on Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). This should return your system back to factory defaults.

  • Support Assistant

    HP Support Assistant stopped workng, giving a message  "HPSF.exe has stopped working....app has encountered a serious problem and must close".  I removed it and reinstalled but I'm still getting the same message. The HP website also keeps telling me I'm not connected to the internet which is ridiculous since I'm using the computer in question right now and my internet is working just fine. I want/need to update drivers but am not havin any success and am becoming increasingly frustrated, to say nothing of losing faith in HP. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

  • HP Support Assistant not functioning.

    I have a Touchsmart 600-1050, Windows 7 (64-bit), upgraded to version 4. The HP Support Assistant is not working. My system doesn't show on it when I open it up. I've gone to HP's website to download the latest update and it will go through the normal downloading procedure, I'll accept the terms then hit next and then I get this message "Your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been cancelled. (1602)." What does this mean? Why don't I have the "minimum requirements and how do I get them so I can get this update?

               Good thing I did not upgrade my version 3 software. Upgrade has some issues. Now we have to find what mistakes were made on upgrading. I have to study this a bit. If I could send you my HP Sopport Assistant I would. I do not know if orginal software was erased during your upgrade to version 4.  I am going to read the directions on upgrading. My computer is also HP Touchsmart 600-1050. If d drive was is not effected in upgrade you can unistall it first then reinstall it from Orginal software on D drive using recovery manger. The old version will update itself on its own. I will be back going to home page now.                  Note: PC Tune up still has issues Microsoft Disk Defragmeter does not work from HP Support Assistant so leave that box blank. Goto accessories Select System Tools and Click on Disk Defragmeter there in stead. Rest of HP Support Assistant works as far as I can tell.   • IPhone 4 - Charging issues including "This accessory may not be supported."

    So for the past couple of weeks, on and off, my iPhone 4 (2 years old) has been having intermittent charging issues. I have gone through four charging cords, all from Apple, and two charging blocks, both from Apple - none of these change/resolve the issue.
    I had an online chat through Apple with someone a week ago, and she suggested resetting my settings only (resetting the entire phone was my husband's idea) - resetting the phone entirely did not resolve the issue, and resetting the settings (and only the settings) works for maybe 1-2 days maximum. Any of the following things happen when plugging in the phone to charge:
    1) The phone charges normally (very rare anymore, happens more often if I reset the settings on the phone first then put everything back the way I want it)
    2) The phone charges for maybe two seconds, then a message pops up that says "This accessory may not be supported." (8/10 times this happens, can usually get it to charge normally if I unplug and replug a bunch of times)
    3) The phone makes the noise/vibrates like it is charging, but the battery percentage will go down over time. (rare, but does happen)
    An Apple store visit is not exactly...possible? I live an hour and a half away from my closest one, and the location is not easy to get to (cross a bridge, pay $13 toll, $13 to get back over to go home, and that's just the way there and back...forget finding the place). I have cleaned out the phone at the charging port more times than I can count. My husband seems to think it is a battery issue...thoughts?

    iOS 7 will give errors on non Apple certified peripherals.  So make sure you only use Apple certified products. Did you backup the phone and then RESTORE AS NEW (not reset)? Try doing that by plugging the phone to iTunes on a computer. See if that helps. If it solves the problem, there could have been corrupted software on you phone. If not, it could be a hardware issue (including the battery), in which case you would need to go to a Apple Store or authorized service provider.

    start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.

    first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
    to find OOBE:
    64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
    mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
    if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
    if you're using a dvd to install:
    copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
    if you're using a mac:
    1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
    2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
    3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    5. Start the installation again.
    if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

    You need to find out who the carrier was in Switzerland and see if they will unlock the device. The carrier with the lock is the only one that can authorize the unlock. You may need to check with the original owner and see if they can get it unlocked by the carrier if you do not qualify.
