    You don't need two separate libraries to manage two devices.
    I suspect the reason that the apps are appearing in both libraries is that you have enabled automatic downloads in iTunes and automatic syncing of apps so that all your purchases end up in both libraries, defeating your original aim.
    Why not use a single library and make playlists for the media content you want on each device? Disable Settings > Store > Automatic Downloads > Apps on each device, then connect each device in turn and turn off Automatically Sync Apps on the Apps page.
    You can now manage your devices independently, while only having to manage the content of one iTunes library, instead of two.

    If your phone is factory unlocked, or officially unlocked by your carrier, updating will NOT re-lock the phone.  If it was unlocke by unauthorized methods, any update or restore will re-lock it.

    In your PC, you accessed to your Google Mail account using your browser. In Mac, the process is the same, but as your Mac is new, first you have to log in Google with your Google account.
    If you want, instead of having to open Safari every time you want to check mail, you can use the Mail application included in OS X. Open System Preferences > Mail, Contacts and Calendars, and add all your mail accounts. They will be automatically set up to be used in Mail, so just open the app.
    Then, after opening Mail, the process of deleting more than one mail is as simple as choosing the ones you want to delete pressing the Command key, and then, press the trash button in the toolbar

    Did you actually download the installer from Apple or did you use Software Update.  You can download the installer http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    Maybe I'm old fashioned but I would consider repairing permissions first using Disk Utility because something caused this to go wrong the first time.  And of course make a backup of your whole library first.  It shouldn't happen but some have complained about their libraries being wiped out by iTunes updates.  Better safe...

    When you say the iPad is your sister's and was reset, did you remove all settings and set it up with your Apple ID?  If not, and it still has your sister's Apple ID then the security questions are hers and you must use her answers.

    After waiting the 36 hours, I received an email advising me. To contact a phone support number. After waiting 15 minutes on hold, the helpful person asked me for the answers to the security questions and said that answering them was the only way to reset the questions. I said, WHAT? You don't see any cyclic logic there? Apple (the inovator!) has not foreseen this? I was livid. I was advised I could leave a comment on Apple.com.     Thanks! I'm a little leery of attaching a credit card to itunes again because of all the apple database jacking in the past. I had a bunch of unauthorized purchases charged to my account for devices that I never owned. Took me weeks to replace the credit card even though it was never compromised but apple was impotent to fix the issue. On this issue, I finally got the working key to the system. Even though there are BAZILLIONS of ways to verify a person's identity via two forms, using the security questions forgotten as one of them seems to be circular (failed) logic. Seriously, it's like requiring someone's password to reset a forgotten password. My take on the issue fixed by this workflow, that I noticed from the 3 sets of calls and 20 minute wait on each is this.... iTunes was racked by all the fraudulent purchases I (and thousands of others) experienced and people (like me) had to go through all the credit card issues because Apple "would not" fix the issues in iTunes and pursue the fraudulent purchasers (even though Apple had the device IDs!). So we ripped out our credit card info in iTunes. On this security question reset issue, if they can require people to re-enter their credit card info under the guise of "identification ...because your security is so important!) and then take 60 minutes to create a high intensity customer interaction, there is a high probability that the average customer will temporarily forget all about removing their credit card info. It's actually brilliant! ...but very underhanded.... but also very Apple. I don't expect this reply to have a long life-span, but thanks for your response. If I can log into iTunes, I can add any credit card. therefore IF I CAN LOG INTO ITUNES APPLE HAS THE SECOND METHOD ALREADY!  Thanks.

    I'm sorry, but I know nothing about iCloud email. I stayed away from iCloud email and only use iCloud for limited purposes.
    But take a look at this discussion and read the response from randers4. He is one of the iCloud experts in the Apple Support Communities.

    You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
    Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
    Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
    You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
    Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
    Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
    Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
    Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
    Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
    All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
    Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
    Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

    I think they're slowly nudging people to switch, .mac & MobileMe are going away about July, may as well set it up now.
    I understand .mac mail will still come through.
    iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    • SSL Required: Yes
    • Port: 993
    • Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    • Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

    Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

    Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

    It just didn't occur to me to do so.
    My intent was to report that there was at least one other user encountering a similar problem.  It occurred to me that Adobe might be interested in determining the scale of a problem which causes one of  their best known products to fail to run quite so completely after a clean install 
    I also see that I misreported the OS I'm running - its Windows 8.
    If there is further information I can provide which might be helpful in determining a solution, if someone could be specific about what would be helpful, then I will try to respond appropriately.

    The X230 has Intel HD 4000 graphics support built in to the processor.  Windows was pretty stubborn about refusing driver updates, but I just managed to get drivers from the Intel site to install and Photoshop is now running, so hopefully I need not try your patience any further.
    In case anyone else has a similar problem and stumbles on this the way to install the driver that worked was to:
    - download the zip version of the generic driver from Intel
    - use the 'have disk' option in the windows dialog to install the driver - other paths in the UI did not work with windows refusing to install the driver.

    I have a factory unlocked iPhone 3GS (eg: purchased from Apple).  I received the same message at some point and eventually (after reading a bit more) accepted "Download and Update".  No problem.  No apparent bad effects. It just seems to update things specific to the carrier (Bell Mobility in my case).
