I have a server that streams internet radio from WMAs using a
standard ASX format for the playlist. Switching to streaming MP3s
is not an option.
I would like to make a flash player which people can embed in
myspace ect and also use as a desktop app via Air.
My question is this, is there any way to capture the ASX
stream and play it within a Flash movie?

interesting... I had seen that field many times and it never clicked.
What is odd is that I had posted about this and my work around in several blogs, and a couple of well known couple LR experts had commented my work around was probably a good approach given LR limitations.
As I think through this, I wonder if it is a matter of the list of choices from Adobe that made several of us think they meant something else.
"Unknown" does not seem to fit if "I know that I have not filed for registration"; would have been nice to have a little more granularity or clarity as in "Registration Pending" as a choice, but it comes down to semantics.
Certainly your workflow approach works, and probably will start using this approach, while hoping that Adobe will give me one more choice !!

Hi,
When you are happy with your track, all you have to do is click 'Bounce', this can be found on the top menu bar at the very right side of the screen. There is also a little button under the master track that says something like 'bnce' or something like that. Clicking this will then give you a window with a load of options of what you want to bounce your track as, just select your preferences and click 'bounce' at the bottom, and that's it!

This is probably old but...

Alright so i've gotten a new white macbook (MA700) and I am now experiencing the 'whine' that so many people have complained about. This is my 3rd macbook i've tried (the 1st was coming apart and the 2nd one the fan sounded like it was rattling apart no matter how fast it was going and now I am onto this whine problem).
Is there an easy fix/stopgap? It seems to only happen while plugged in, it just started after about a week's usage, and it cuts in and out as I turn apps on or off (i.e. as the load on the CPU changes).
Any suggestions please?

Download AA 9 Pro from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. Make a new backup for your archive. You might also take the DVD to your library to see if it is a drive problem. You might also carefully clean the DVD with water and soap (do not use anything that would scratch the surface or you have destroyed it for sure) and see if that solves the problem. This is particularly an issue if you have finger prints or other crud on the DVD. However, it could also be a bad drive as I mentioned. Hopefully the download solves your problem in any case (I would backup the download to CD and/or backup HD).

Press "Command P" and when the Print dialogue box comes up, towards the bottom there is an option allowing you to choose the text size, i.e: small, med, large.

Actually, another person on the "more like this" had the right answer. It meant I had a notification for an invite that I needed to respond to.

This is probably an overscan problem, but..

Hey guys/girls,
I'm a fairly new video (80gb) iPod owner and I have some questions about tv output.
I've been trying to output some subtitled avi files to my television, and the subtitles are getting cut off on the sides and some on the bottom.
The best result I got was cropping a 16:9 format .h264 640x352 file with 14 pixels on the top and bottom, then all of the subs were visible, but the characters were stretched and squatty (as expected, since I do not have a 16:9 television).
The video files in question are in 640x480 resolution divx format, and if displayed using another media player on the television (such as one for the ps2 or xbox media center), they display fine with subtitles intact.
The fact that they are getting "blown up" over the screen size of the tv, even at 640x480 tells me that this is probably an overscan problem, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to get these videos to display properly on my tv?
My next thought was to try cropping the sides of a 16:9 format to make things look closer to 4:3 with borders on all sides, as that would be preferable to having the subtitles cut off.

hi, yeh i had the same problem as u, it would say that the usb is unknown, and yeh it is because u are using the wrong cable.
i had tried, for instance dwnloading the driver n stuff, eventually i found out it was because its the wrong cable, u see i had a previous cable for an old nokia phone, and i mistakly used that instead of the new one. once i plugged in the new cable although they both luked the same, it wrked. u sud luk up the type of cable ur phone takes.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

this is what i have done so far. i really nead some help asap!!!
1. Install Oracle 9i Release 2 (9.2.0.1) Enterprise Edition with the General purpose database configuration (Data warehouse works as well). At the end of the installation I chose the password management button to change passwords for the few necessary accounts: SYS, SYSTEM, OLAPSYS, SH.
2. Download the p3948480_9206_WINNT.zip from metalink, the 9.2.0.6 patchset
3. Shut down any existing Oracle9i database instances with normal or immediate priority. Stop all listener and other services running in the Oracle home directory where you want to install the patch set.
4. unzip the content of thepatch to a temp directory
5. start setup.exe under the temp directory (it will start the Oracle Universal installer 10.1.0.3)
6. install the patchset to your Oracle home, selecting the source in the temp_dir\stage\products.jar file
7. review carefully the post-installation tasks for the patchset:
Review the following sections before upgrading a database (quote from the patchset html readme):
8.2.1.1If JServer is part of the installation ensure that there is at least 10 MB of free space allocated to the SYSTEM tablespace.
8.2.1.2 Check XDB Tablespace Size
For RAC installations, ensure that there is at least 50 MB of free space allocated to the XDB tablespace.
8.2.1.3 Set the SHARED_POOL_SIZE and JAVA_POOL_SIZE Initialization Parameters
Set the value of the SHARED_POOL_SIZE and the JAVA_POOL_SIZE initialization parameters as follows:
Start the database:

14. Install the BIBDEMO schema:
Create a directory on the computer that is running the Oracle9i database. This install_home directory is the location to which you will upload the data files that are required to build the BIBDEMO schema.
On the computer where BI Beans is installed, locate the bibeans_home\bibdemo_schema folder (where bibeans_home is the root folder of your BI Beans installation). Copy all of the files found in this folder to the install_home folder on your server machine.
Open a DOS prompt and navigate to the install_home folder.
Run bibdemo.bat to install the schema, using the following syntax:
bibdemo.bat <path to Oracle database files >
For example, for an instance named my9iService, enter the following:
bibdemo.bat D:\OraHome1\oradata\my9iService
You are prompted for the password for the sys as sysdba user.
The script takes approximately 15 minutes to run, depending on the machine specifications. It is normal to see some error messages while the script is running. Hi,
The issue here is if the whole catalog is corrupt or just one schema. So to try and determine the status of the catalog I would try:
1) Using OEM remove all the objects you created
2) I presume you created your database using the Database Configuration Assistant? You should have used the warehouse template
3) Make sure the following accounts are unlocked and also not expired : SH, OLAPSYS
4) Make sure the password for the SH schema is SH
5) Make sure the password for the OLAPSYS account is manager
6) Install the BIBDEMO schema that is shipped with BI Beans. This in the jdev_home/bibeans/bibdemo_schema
The installation process will remove SH schema from the OLAP catalog.
7)Once this is installed use JDeveloper to see if you can create a crosstab or graph.
8) If the BIBDEMO schema works try creating your new schemas one at a time.
9) Make sure the if you define the a dimension as type time it has END_DATE (column type DATE) and TIME_SPAN (column type number) defined. Otherwise don't define the dimension as type time.

FaceTime is NEVER charged. It is basically going through the internet, as if you were watching a YouTube video, it just takes data. You probably have a data limit through your wireless provider, for example, I can only use 3Gb of data per month on my iPhone 5 through AT&T.
If you use Wi-Fi, you will NOT be charged for data (unless your internet provider has a cap on the amount of data you can use).
If you do facetime over cellular data, you just have to watch your data usage. You can watch your data usage in Settings > General > Usage. AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint all offer free apps you can use to monitor your data usage (among many other things, like pay your wireless bill, etc.).

Trying to drag pdf files i have and combine them into one pdf file in the account i just purchased with Adobe. when i drag a pdf file over Adobe doesn't accept it. says it can not convert this type of file. but it is an Adobe file. Do I need to change it?

Trying to drag pdf files i have and combine them into one pdf file in the account i just purchased with Adobe. when i drag a pdf file over Adobe doesn't accept it. says it can not convert this type of file. but it is an Adobe file. Do I need to change it in some other form befor dragging it?

Also, tell me your workflow of combining those PDF files?
