ok i know this mother borad is really old its a MicroStar MS6119 v1.1 mother borad and according to the live update i have the most recent bios update (ver 2.90) but i still have the crash problem with drives over 65GB and the system stability problem with running prossers at 133MHz FBS, the system preformance loss when usieng 768MB of ram and i'm not getting CuMine support with my ASUS S370 adapter card. i kknow this sounds silly but when i went to the manual download area for the individual updates and downloaded the update marked with the specific problem the problem went away but only that problem went away and thge others stayed and when i applied another update to fix another problem then the other problem came back. my current operational configureation is:
PIII slot 1 667MHz 133MHz FBS (currently underclocked at 500MHz 100MHz FBS for stability reasons)
nVidia Riva TNT (downgraded from a nVidia GeForce2 MX 200 for power conservation)
and a 20GB HDD
as well as a 250W SPI(tm) PSU
i have also tried a couple of generic PSUs @ 160W and 235W as well as a Compaq(tm) one at 250W and i'm still stuck. i would go out and buy a new mother borad but i'm broke and have to make do

well i removed the prosser fan and setup a 12v 1.2A DC turbine fan (copped from a P4 heatsink) so its blowing on the heatsink and heat readings from the mobo and from just touching it have SUBSTANTIALY decreased. before it would burn me after running for an hour but now its cool to the touch (i'm thinking thats the way it should be) and so far have not had any stability problems running Tyrian 2000 (a complicated DOS game) under DOS 6.22 on it for about 24Hours with no breaks now so i think that you were correct in that assumtion

I'm a fairly new video (80gb) iPod owner and I have some questions about tv output.
I've been trying to output some subtitled avi files to my television, and the subtitles are getting cut off on the sides and some on the bottom.
The best result I got was cropping a 16:9 format .h264 640x352 file with 14 pixels on the top and bottom, then all of the subs were visible, but the characters were stretched and squatty (as expected, since I do not have a 16:9 television).
The video files in question are in 640x480 resolution divx format, and if displayed using another media player on the television (such as one for the ps2 or xbox media center), they display fine with subtitles intact.
The fact that they are getting "blown up" over the screen size of the tv, even at 640x480 tells me that this is probably an overscan problem, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to get these videos to display properly on my tv?
My next thought was to try cropping the sides of a 16:9 format to make things look closer to 4:3 with borders on all sides, as that would be preferable to having the subtitles cut off.

hi, yeh i had the same problem as u, it would say that the usb is unknown, and yeh it is because u are using the wrong cable.
i had tried, for instance dwnloading the driver n stuff, eventually i found out it was because its the wrong cable, u see i had a previous cable for an old nokia phone, and i mistakly used that instead of the new one. once i plugged in the new cable although they both luked the same, it wrked. u sud luk up the type of cable ur phone takes.

There is no download for 10.4.x or 10.5.x, there is a very slim chance you can get 10.5 by calling Apple, but usually you can only get it on eBay & such.
Tiger Requirements...

Actually, another person on the "more like this" had the right answer. It meant I had a notification for an invite that I needed to respond to.

This is getting really old.
I keep running into limits on the way I can access information.
I have some code that was looking at a SerialElement:
pSerialElement.getChildAt(0).toString();     trace produces "[object VideoElement]"
Now if I simply store that SerialElement in a MediaElement (pMediaElement = pSerialElement )
I no longer can do a getChildAt.

Actually you can install Windows on your MBP via Bootcamp.
You should have kept the individual on the phone for as long as you can tolerate. The time he wastes with you is time he cannot spend scamming an innocent victim.
You can always politely ask the caller to hold while you 'answer the front door' or the like and just set down the phone and go about your business. The caller will eventually hang up.
But your analysis was 100% correct.

When you get a new computer how do I put on my iTunes library - I do have it all backed up to the cloud. I am not a technical person so this is probably easy for someone but not me! Any help would be much appreciated

I have my library backed up to the cloud for which I pay extra. I am not at all technical so if anyone could give me idiot instructions I would much appreciate it. Finding the instructions from apple assume I know basic,s and that confuses me!

This is probably a simple solution, but, so far, not for me.

I have a MacBook running Tiger. I moved my iTunes Library to an external HD. iTunes works fine for me, but I'd like all the accounts on my machine to be able to access iTunes easily. I've repaired permissions, changed permissions, etc. all to no avail. My sons and wife cannot use my iTunes library.
Is there a simple setting I can use so that all the accounts on my MacBook can use, listen to, add to and access my iTunes library? Any help is appreciated.

Where is your iTunes Library file located? For your purposes, it should be in the ~user/Music/iTunes folder. If you moved it to the eHD, you should ideally copy that file (and iTunes Music Library.xml) back to your Mac, then launch iTunes with the Option key pressed down, then Choose Library.., then point to where you moved it back to.
The basic principle is this : if you want all users to have their own playlists etc, then everyone needs their own iTunes Library file, preferably in their own user account, in the Music/iTunes folder.

Finally, if you are having problems with permissions on an external drive, I'm wondering how it is formatted? If in MS-DOS FAT32 it MAY be the cause of your problem, in which case you should back up everything on there and reformat to Mac OS X Extended.

This is not really a question but just a highlight. I have been for 20 minutes on the phone through the express lane support and I have been told that iCloud DO NOT stores music or video and cannot be used to pushes any music you bought through iTunes !

I am a beginer with Motion and on one of my open projects my Utility Window has dissapeared. I've tried brigning it back by pressing command 1, F1, F2, F3, etc and bringing up all the different window layouts....

I re booted and lost all music and it wont show on the "purchased" in Quick links - but if I try to buy the same album again they ask "you have already bought this do you really want to but it again" well if I have bought it where is it them!!! grrrrrrr!

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

I know the password is correct, as other devices and this site have accepted the password. I would like help in uninstalling a few of the devices where the program is no longer needed.

I would like to use Adobe Digital Editions on a new Nook Tablet. I believe I have gone over the limit of devices and this may be why my password is being rejected on the new device. I would like to uninstall the program from devices where it is no longer needed.

On the wireless networks that your Mac has had trouble connecting to, do you know which Wireless Security type (WEP, WPA, or WPA2) is being used?
If it is WEP, one of the problems is that the actual standard relies on a 10 character HEX key for 40bit WEP and a 26 character HEX key for 128bit WEP. In order to make things easier, vendors use certain algorithms to convert simple alphanumeric passwords (or passphrases) into HEX keys, thus enabling the use of simple easy to remember WEP password rather than lengthy HEX keys. The problem is that different vendors use different algorithms to generate the HEX key and therefore a ASCII password on an AEBS will be hashed differently on a non-Apple client and vice versa.
