but I have no idea why i'm getting a white box on top of the video on the front page. I'm only seeing this on firefox. What am I doing wrong?

I have Firefox 13 on Win and I don't see any white boxes. However, the Flash slideshow on left side takes forever to load.

I have a laptop, we recently changed to ATT MIFI and now it gives me a time out error when I try to open firefox. How do I solve this problem. I really like firefox.

We just changed to ATT MIFi and every time I try to go into firefox it give me "The connection has timed out". My husband's laptop doesn't give him that error. I had previously been on satellite (hughes.net). I had problems with explorer but that has been fixed. I really like firefox and would like to get it fixed.

iphoto its pictures are still on your computer under the pictures folder.. it will be one file that says iphoto library. Its a separate file from the actual program.
If you still have the disks that came with your unit they have the ilife applications on them. put the disk in your drive that says mac os x applications dvd. it will auto mount and there should be a folder called bundled software open this and there should be a .pkg file to reinstall the ilife suite which includes imovie iphoto iweb idvd and garageband . After installing don't forget before runnig the program run software updates to download the any fixes
if you r unit has disks labeled disk one and disk 2.. you need to boot off of disk one and choose install bundled software.

My screen for the games on Facebook is super small also. This just started for me yesterday. The screen is so small that I am unable to see all of the aspects of each game and can't play them correctly. It's about half the size it should be. I'm not very happy with it either, because it just means that I will have to use chrome instead of firefox, which I prefer, to use Facebook now. If there isn't going to be a quick fix for this, I will just have to delete firefox and go back to using chrome.

My question is: How do I figure out what release I was on, get rid of this one and got back to a functional firefox that moves in realtime. I already did all the reset and etc.... I just want to go back to the speed I had. This halting , hanging up misery of a browzer is Sad. I have had firefox for years and always recommended it ..... BUT NOT ANY MORE. I agree with the other poster ... there should be a rollback feature. Peoples time has value and right now FireFox is sucking the value down a rabbit hole.

I came here to fix it a couple of dayz ago and did the reset firefox and now it IS RUNNING SO POORLY AND SLOW I AM ABOUT TO KILL IT OFF MY MACHINE!!! Yes that is me yelling - and it happened in SSSSSSSSSSSSS LLLLLLLLL OOOOOOOO WWWWWWWWWW Motion. I have run all the security scans and cleanups ---this needs a fix ASAP!!! PS: The hang ups and slowness is EVERYWHERE I go. I only get speed doing programs not connected to ON LINE.

When opening links in a new tab there used to be dots surrounding the link (made it easy to see your place on a list), this is gone in Firefox 4. Can it be restored or simulated?

I open new tabs from a lot of links that are in lists. In Firefox the link would be surrounded by dots when I opened the new tab which made it easy to know where I was in the list if I had to get up or even look away from the screen. This is gone in Firefox 4 and it's really annoying to have to try to keep my place in the lists all of the time. Can this be fixed?

if I right click and open in a new tab. It will work if I open link in a foreground tab but then it will switch to the opened tab then and I want to stay on the list page not switch to the tab page.
I am not technical enough with Firefox to understand the page that you sent. Can you explain what do if this can be fixed? If not are you able to pass it on to a programmer so it can be fixed on a coming revision?

After I click close on the box, then Firefox will start. I really just want to get the error fixed so that when I want firefox open, I don't have to see this box anymore.

You need to figure out which add-on is causing that error and disable it until the developer of that add-on fixes it. There may be an error message about that in the Error Console, accessed through the Web Developer menu item or through {Ctrl + Shft + J}.

Why is firefox twice as slow as IE or chrome? The speedtest is consistent. I really like firefox but the speed thing is annoying.

I have 18 M dsl speed. It is fast. Firefox consistently tests at 8.xx-9.xx M, while IE and Chrome come in at 17.xx-18 M. I have uninstalled firefox, erased all traces of it; loaded a brand new install and tested speed in a clean copy, without any add-ons, bookmarks, etc. The speed was the same...slow. I really LIKE Firefox, and will not give it up, but this speed thing is annoying. Any suggestions? Yes my computer is old, (CPU = 2M), but IE and chrome have no problem.

This latest update of Firefox, 5.0.1, has a graphic in the toolbar space that looks like some kind of ad, had HP7 on it, Harry Potter ad maybe, and it obscures my tabs and toolbar and makes them very, very difficult to read, how do I remove it?

This latest update of Firefox suddenly had this ad (that's what it looks like), for what I am guessing is that it is an ad for a Harry Potter movie, as it says "HP7", (are there really seven of them now??? Wow, talk about overselling something....), but I need to remove it, can't see or read my tabs and tool bar headings, not good! My operating system is Windows XP, tablet PC edition, SP3.

Is it possible you accidentally installed a Persona? If it's a Persona or other kind of theme, you can revert to the default theme here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Add-ons > Appearance
Right-click default and choose it (your menu choice could say "wear it" or it might say something less strange)

there is so much spam out there they when I get an upgrade message I am reluctant to do it...how do I tell it's really from Firefox?

hello Marilyn8792, you're apparently already using firefox 24 - that's the current version of the browser at the moment. so it appears to be some sort of phishing tactic that is trying to trick you into installing malware, so don't download or execute this kind of stuff! updates are handled automatically by firefox so you don't have to download anything (you can always manually check if there's an update available by going to ''firefox > help > about firefox'').
please also go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' and disable/remove "WebConnect 1.0.0". i'd also recommend running a full scan of your system with different security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] and [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] in order to make sure that there isn't already some sort of malware active on your system that triggers these false alerts.

Almost every time I open a new page, and that page has an ad with movement or video, the browser page hides behind other open pages. This is really annoying.

I don't see any evidence that this is malware. For instance i opened a page that was for a major newspaper from Dallas. As i reached my cursor to the page, it hid behind the other pages, and i had to now reach down to my taskbar to find it again. When i did, i saw an ad on the page with movement (flash?). Anyway, the ad was for breast cancer awareness, and was made by that newspaper, which is why i think it has nothing to do with malware. Same thing happens everyday with normal sites like Yahoo. Anytime an ad has movement or video, the page is only visible for a second, then hides behind the others. This has really become a major annoyance.

Does anyone know whether the default "Subscribe to This Page" feature within Firefox is a RSS Reader?
For example, I want to subscribe to certain blogs etc., and my research suggested I install Feedly ([https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/feedly/]), which I now have. However, I noticed whilst playing around that within Firefox, the feature to subscribe to a page offers this too - but is the Firefox feature the same as a RSS Reader?

Really, most RSS readers are the same.
In the past I have used the Firefox RSS reader to setup live bookmarks.<br>
Currently I use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/rss-icon-in-awesombar/?src=userprofile RSS Icon In Awesombar] add-on. It functions the same as the default Firefox feature, but to save space I want the button in the location bar.
You can use whatever one you want. As said above, it really doesn't matter.

How can I merge all of the new FF windows that are open into one window with multiple tabs? Safari has a merge windows feature that I like. This is really nice when conducting reasearch on multiple sites at the same time.

When I clik on weblinks they all open into new windows making it somewhat painful to clik on window in the menu bar to go to each new page. I would rather have a feature that would allow me to merge all of those individual windows into tabs within one page.

If not, what happens if you remove the Apple ID on the iPad and then set it in Airplane Mode (allow a couple of minutes at this point) followed by re-adding the Apple ID ?
What, if any error messages are appearing on the Mac when you try to launch the App or Login to the iMessages server ?
Is the Apple ID linked to an iCloud account ?
In Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) this did not seem to be important but it seems it is in Mavericks/Messages 8

My iPhone is a 16GB and it says 9.0GB Available and 3.7GB used; I suspect the missing 2.3GB is occupied by the system software.
