my new macbook pro is giving me hardtime. even apple team is not being to solve it. they replace the motherboard first it didn't work. second time they formatted the computer and that also didn't work. every time my mac showing different problems.
At first my computer had issues. Once it go to sleep it will not back again. I dropped my laptop at apple store to fix it. After 10 days they returned my laptop saying they were no able to fix the problem so they replaced motherboard aiming if that might help. Acttually that didn't help.I had same issue again. It was working fine for few daysAfter few days compter is taking.even more than 15 min to shutdown. Now computer has another problem. It is being hang frequently like every 20'to.30 min.
I don't know what to do? I still have one month left on first year warranty. I have requested couple times to apple associates either to fix or replace or refund. They are showing me rude behavior. They are not understanding my situation. I am a student. I need to do lot of home work. Since last three month my mac book and apple associates giving me hard time. I had the exact same thing happen ... for the second time. I'm done renting movies on Apple TV that I cannot watch, and don't get my money back. I have a strong Internet connection, and about 10 minutes into a movie and it stops and says that the movie will be ready to view in 55 hours. Rediculous ... and frustrating. I don't know how to fix this, and I disagee with the other person responding to you who said it was your network. I have a strong network, running through an Airport Extreme -- and this problem persists. I'm done.

Apple said to update ical. I guess I waited too long because my calendars and all my events disappeared. I tried syncing with my iPhone and it deleted my calendars off my iPhone. Double clicking on a calendar invite does not work either, it won't open or populate my ical. I requested an update through Mobileme to get ical working again and nothing..... It does not appear to want to update or start working again. Is this an issue with Apple ical in general?

My iPod Touch keeps displaying the message 'This accessory not supported by iPod touch.' When I've used it w/this device multiple times, it's happening more and more frequently now. Anyway to dismiss this message for good? Because the iPod still plays thru my radio and system.
That message is usually due to a bad cable.

I am getting error (-1) while updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1. The phone has gone into a recovery mode. Restore fails every time at "restoring the firmware" stage. Striped bar remains for a long time, then shows "error (-1)" and the restore fails. I have been doing it for last 12 hours. Help!
Thanks for your reply Michalo. I am in India and here Apple care does not work on Sundays. I have been without my phone for the entire day. Perhaps tomorrow will bring some respite. There is not solution to "error (-1)" on any forum it seems. I found one forum which suggested use of Tiny Umbrella. Any idea about that?

If there isn't anything shown then have you added or changed your credit card details ? I think that 55 rupees is about $1, which is the right amount for a temporary store holding charge , which is applied to check that the card details are correct and valid, and which should disappear off your account within a few days (though it might vary by bank/credit card company).

Time Machine Shows Duplicated Drives and May Not Backup
I have a Time Capsule with a Western Digital My Studio Drive attached by USB. Often it works well, but sometimes it appears to see a duplicated WD Drive with no backup on it, and fails.
The most obvious symptom is (and I wish I could attach a jpeg!) if you open the 'Select Disk' dialog, you see the following disks listed:
HA Time Machine WD Drive
home
net
HA Time Machine WD Drive
HA Time Capsule
HA Time Capsule
None
Where home and net are from, I have no idea. But you can see the duplication. And that can lead to error.
I have tried selecting 'none' and starting again, I still get this extended list. I have tried setting up the Time Capsule from scratch to no avail. Obviously I have rebooted!

Welcome to the forum. You said that you have a 2GB USB Drive attached. I am assuming that is one of those Jump/Flash drives. If that is the case then they cannot be used as a backup device for TM. First, 2GB is too small to act as a back up for a HD that an average user has is over 50GB to back up. Second, try and connect an external HD USB/Firewire and it will show up in TM preferences.

Having problems importing rental films from I tunes.Have rented before with no problem and have a strong internet connection.Before it would take about 20 mins ,now it is showing 300 hours and more and not getting anywhere.
Log in to the Developer forum. You will find instructions on how to install the lastest beta. Your problem is the beta you have installed has expired. All of them did on October 5; you will find hundreds of threads discussing this. If you have a beta it is assumed that you will continue as a beta tester, so a simple update using iTunes will not work.
If you no longer want to be a beta tester install the GM 7.0.2 by restoring from iTunes using DFU mode. -

windows xp Windows XP ProHe's right. Make sure you follow ALL the instructions for uninstalling.
I think the problem is actually related to a Quicktime error, and not iTunes, but it relies on Quicktime.
One of these two things fixed this same problem for me:
-Deleting the Quicktime files in the System32 folder (mentioned in the uninstalling instructions).
-Installing Quicktime by itself FIRST, then installing iTunes
I think the Quicktime files in the System32 folder were the culprit, though. -
How do I make a sixty second timer which resets at 60 and goes to 00?
I am trying to create a 60 second timer (file attached) which will reset at 60 and go to 00.
Currently, the two seven segment displays displaying the digits will go from 60 to 01. If I replace the output of U14D with that of U14C, it will reset from 59 to 00.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

There is probably a small logic error somewhere in the reset. Your 0-9 counter works fine, so, when reseted, whocul go back to 0, not 1. Your design is similar to the one in the next page, maybe you can compare the logic in both circuits to help you find the error.
