You can sync with onee at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -
Is there a way to have bookmark folders automatically collapsed in Safari when adding bookmarks? This would be a huge convenience in navigating to the right folder w/o having to deal with an eye chart of a folder tree.

I think it is a tremendous problem. Im my case it is extremelly important to manage, organize and sort favorites.
I am new to Mac and safari... and I spent a lot of time researching a solution for that thinking it was me that couldnt find this option. I like to use safari because of the "gestures". This is great. But when it comes to favorites, safari is a nightmare!!!
Also, I use to like the option in Firefox that we can have the leftside bar with the favorites and navigate to the links in the right. In safari the links are open in the full page. And then we need to come back to the favorite everytime.
I would be glad if someone could come out with good solution or suggestions how to deal with it in fafari.

i deal with a itunes update problem when i try to update i get coneection has timed out error! i had the same problem when i had vista.. yesterday i formated my pc but i still have the same prommblem. i dont deal with such problems on direct downloads.i have this problem only with tunes. maybe my conection freezes for a sec idk
Sorry I gave this a 'this helped me' but after a long struggle I found some ticked box somewhere from some unauthorised chrome extension blaaa....... the link you gave was great, not only did it confirm all the bad things google is supposed to be up to it provided a better browser. Cheers man.
Anyone who find this; I disabled all extension in chrome. I then searched the word proxy in the settings section. A button came up, "change proxy settings" I clicked on it. Earlier it was greyed out as an extension was interefering.. It brought up a box with my own settings from my computer. Then I clicked LAN settings, then unchecked the 'Use a proxy server' button.
P.S. If you're using chrome, bail, and dowload Komodo Dragon. It's virtually identical, but you're not tracked, and you can use chrome extensions, and you can quickily transfer your chrome preferences into it. -
The ipod 'harms ipod' is synced with another itunes library.Do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library? An ipod can be synced with only one itunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replace the contents of this ipod with the contents of this itunes library.
I don't know what to do? I should save my library before I replace the contents, but I don't know how to do that! You are mispelling the url address. Specifically it is not "htt" it should be "http" then the remainder of the address. -
How do I delete a message in my gmail account, but keep it on the server so I can see it on my iMac when I log into gmail.com? I set up the gmail account on my iphone NOT through the colored "gmail button" but through "add account." And I've enabled IMAP in the settings when I log in on my computer to gmail.com.
Thanks!Gmail uses IMAP. It's designed to keep all of your devices in sync. If you delete on one, it will be deleted on all of them. However, deleted means that it's in the trash. You could always retrieve it when you're using your Mac. Or, just create a folder that you move things to to deal with later.

Firefox will not open forms (i.e. registration forms, class schedule, flyer, etc.) on certain websites. Updated Adobe Reader and Re-installed and updated FF. Still will not open the forms. Tried Internet Explorer with no problem at all. Tried FF on a different computer w/ no problem. Help please?
I also have this problem. I cannot open links from a discussion board I frequent nor can I open links from my email. Also after opening my email, I cannot go to any other sites except my home page. I can then go no where else.
When I close Firefox and try to reopen it, it does nothing! I have to bring up the Task Manager and end the Firefox process before I can get back in.
To the best of my knowledge, this problem started with the new update to Ver. 3.6.9. I am running Windows XP Media Center 2005 -
Am I the only one having significant issues with battery life on the iphone5?
I purchased an iPhone5 at the end of June 2013. Ever since I downloaded iOS7 I have been having battery issues. This past Friday the issues got worse. On Monday night (1/6/14) my phone unexpectedly shut off 22 times according to an Apple rep. My phone was replaced yesterday and I'm still having significant issues. My battery drops somewhere between 2 and 5% if I simply unlock the phone. I went over every possible setting with an Apple rep tonight to make sure my settings are making my phone as efficient as possible. All apple reps are telling me is that I can replace the phone yet again or I can do ANOTHER factory reset. I refuse to deal with this company because it's been 3 days and 14 hours. Has anyone experienced this with their iPhone5 because if I have to call another apple rep I'm gonna flip out.
So now 12 days later and another replacement I'm still having issues and apple still isn't helping. My phone has started shutting off unexpectedly again today. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here?

Last Thursday May 10th I received a prompt from the Automatic Update to update the iOS to Ver. 10.7.4, set the start and was watching the progress when it stopped with an error message saying that it was not able to update, right below there was a buttom "RESTART", pressed the buttom and waited to re-boot.....That was the end of my computer, somehow the update crashed my HD beyond recover, it would only show the gray screen with Apple logo in the center and kept beeping, BEEP BEEP BEEP.....PAUSE.....BEEP BEEP BEEP.....PAUSE.....on and on and on and it never past that.
Friday May 11 I took it to a retailer where I received the bad news that the HD was crashed and the teck couldn't even try to copy anything from it as it couldn't locate it. I checked iCloud on a hope that all my stuff would be there but new surprise, iCloud didn't kept all of my stuff as it was programmed to.
Now here is the funny part, the tech from the retailer informed me that the only thing they could do was to order a new HD for my 4 months old Macbook and that the time to have my computer back will be at least 15 days, now that is the funny part, I fail to understand why do I have to suffer the hassle of loosing all my data plus wait at least 15th days to have my computer back (meanwhile loose work) on a problem caused by Apple, PROBLEM, not machine defect, clearly my computer had no problem untill I followed the procedure to update.
On Saturday May 12 I contacted Local Apple Support (I have failed to mention that I live in Brasil) and they informed me that what the dealer said was the only thing that could be done, too bad for me if I lost everything, going to loose several days of work and whenever I receive my computer back will have to re-construct all my life and deal with the forever lost data.....DEAL WITH IT
After a couple of discussion with Apple Support and the Dealer, I made my decision to take the Macbook to the dealer today for repair and meanwhile I'm opening a case with the Brazilian Justice to have Apple honor with all the trouble and hassle that it is causing me, it's said that I have to take this type of action as I'm a very fan of Apple and it's products, have had several iPods, iPhones, Macbooks, Keyboards, Mouses, Apple TV, etc.....This i the first time I have a problem with a Apple product and got a taste of the "Apple Care", it seems like Apple is more concerned on seeling products then keeping long time customers happy.
One last thing, today when I was at the dealer to drop my computer for repair, the Technician informed me that he also had a computer crashed and the HD erase on Sunday May 13th in the same way of mine, after the update everything was gone, also he said that we were not the only ones, iPads and iPhones were going trough the same situation, update causing complete breakdown.

That's exactly what Time Machine does for you. It backs up every hour, so you don't have to. While it is backing up, you keep on working. Time Macvhine came with your Mac and you chose not to use it.
The 10.7.4 update did not cause your hard disk to fail. Hard disk fail due to mechanical causes. They are extremely reliable, but that doesn't mean every hard disk will last a long time. Your mileage WILL vary!
If you are dependent on your computer and the data stored on it, then you should make sure you have AT LEAST two copies of all data and probably three or four. You should use at least two means of backing up in case the backup software has a problem. And you should consider having a backup computer if you live in an area where replacement takes too long (whatever too long is for your business).
Apple hardware and software is very, very good. You have documented your experience of this. But NO hardware or software is perfect. You also have experience of this.
It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your system is set up to protect your data and availability of computing resources. -

What is the purpose with having the 'oracle' profile with a umask of 022? Isn't that a security risk having files created by 'oracle' with 755 permission? I mean why let others have the capability to read and execute on files that 'oracle' writes. Thank you.

You can set it as you wish. But from note:
The umask utility sets the file mode creation mask of the current shell execution environment to the value specified by the mask operand. This mask affects the initial value of the file permission bits of subsequently created files. If umask is called in a subshell or separate utility execution environment, such as one of the following:

find . -exec umask ...
it does not affect the file mode creation mask of the caller's environment. For this reason, the /usr/bin/umask utility cannot be used to change the umask in an ongoing session. Its usefulness is limited to checking the caller's umask. To change the umask of an ongoing session you must use one of the shell builtins.
If the mask operand is not specified, the umask utility writes the value of the invoking process's file mode creation mask to standard output.
The most common umask values are 022, 027, and 077. A umask value of 022 lets the owner both read and write all newly created files, but everybody else can
only read them:

the page that suppose to help you to change /reset security question does not contain link to change it .
I try using two web browsers and not luck on both .The option to send reset info, as described on the steps on that page, will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account (which is not the same as an alternate email address).
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset you can then use those steps to add a rescue email address for potential future use. -

Ok so my adium has worked like forever since I got it and like today it just freezes up after logging on to all my accounts (aim, msn, and yahoo) which it has never done before. All it does is log on and then the little color spinning wheel comes on and I have to force quit, no send error to apple, nothing. Anyone know what might be wrong?

Here is another to add to TheMaxxMann. Did that person have an iphone at one time and did they change to another phone? If so then they need to go into their profile on apple's website and delete the phone from their profile so imessage will not be active anymore.

2 Subcontractors for the Subcontracting process, how to deal with it in SAP
Dear all
I encounter this scenario, please advise how to design it in SAP system for Subcontracting (SC) as it involves 1st subcontracting vendor SC-V01 and 2nd subcontracting vendor SC-V02. I am using the simple example of Colouring Bottom cover and then putting Bottom label done by the above 2 SC vendors respectively
1. Unlike normal subcontracting, my company places the 1st PO to the SC-V01 by supplying SC-V01
the Raw Material of bottle.
2. SC-V01 will COLOUR the bottom cover. Once done, SC-V01 will delivery this bottom with coloured
bottom cover to SC-V02.
3. Once the SC-V02 receives it, they will put the label on this bottom. Once done, it is delivered back to
my company.
Please advise me how to come out with the soluions on it and the Tcode.
Notes: Due to certain reason, we are not able to make only 1 SC vendor solely responsible for the whole thing. The business nature involves high volumes of Subcontracting which involves 2 SC vendors.
