This item is being modified.  Please try again later.

It's later now.   I've been trying to complete one of my albums for about a week and am still getting this message.

Absolutely bizarre.
I saw The Editors support Franz Ferdinand last night, and fancied their album. There are two versions - one a special edition - both at £7.99. I tried to order the special edition repeatedly - but had this item is being modified over and over again.
I clicked through to the full reviews section - where the price was £10.99. I bought it at £10.99, and raised a query with Apple, who generously refunded the full amount (I asked for £3, as we have a law in the UK which says if that is the advertised price, then that's what you can charge - well it's a bit more involved than that but the details aren't relevant!).
My theory is that the pricing on a whole bunch of albums has gone wrong - and if two prices exist on the system, you have to click through to the full review section - which presumably is the correct price.
Very odd, and a fairly recent issue. Hope it is resolved soon!
Meanwhile I am morally bound to buy the non-special edition, and throw the tracks away after downloading them. They were after all very good - although not as good as the amazing Franz Ferdinand!

  • Error message: "Item is being modified, please try again later"

I'm trying to buy Dhafer Youssef album "Digital Prophecy" from finnish iTMS. When i click "Buy Now" in my shopping cart, iTunes will give me various error messages,
    "Item is being modified",
"Your shopping cart's contents have changed." or
"We could not complete your Music Store request. The server was not found."
I've bought several albums from iTMS before with no problems. I know for sure that there is no problems in my credit card or so. Also "the item" i am trying to buy, has been "being modified" for more than week already, so the problem must be somewhere else than just that it's price is being changed or so.
Anyone with a fix for this problem? I am running the latest version of Tiger, and all the latest updates from Software Update, both Quicktime and iTunes are as up-to-date as they can be.
    G4 iBook & Mac Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

They've been having problems with various albums. it's listed at two different prices but appears to be the same album. Others who have had this problem have clicked on the review page and downloaded their selection from there. I don't see that for this selection.
Try to purchase the $7.92 version.

  • This item is currently being modified, please try again later since iTunes9

Hi, I tried to find an answer to this issue believing I wouldn't be the only one to see this, but I could not find the answer to my iTunes issue. I updated to iTunes 9, since I did that, I am unable to buy any Season Pass. I tried with 3 different season passes and all I get is a message saying "This item is currently being modified, please try again later". I tried to reeinstall iTunes 9, I updated to SL 10.6.1 this morning, logout of iTunes etc ... nothing seems to solve my problem. Any good idea is welcome.

I'm having the same problem. I tried to buy a season pass to the SD version of my favorite show, and was told I had to install iTunes 9.0 first. I did that, and then started getting this "Purchase unavailable. Item is being modified. Try again later" message, which has been coming up for two days solid now. Interestingly enough, other folk trying to buy the same series have had the same problem - UNLESS they were buying the $20 more expensive HD version of the season pass, which began downloading instantly. Given that the HD season pass includes a copy of the SD version for viewing on an iPod, there can't be a problem with the SD version, so what's going on with the inability to purchase it? The single new SD episode is also apparently downloadable individually, but can't be gotten on a season pass. Have submitted request for assistance to customer service (and REALLY hate how clunky that system is, when it comes to finding out where to submit a query), and haven't heard anything back yet. Am NOT happy.

  • This Item is Temporarily Unavailble Please try again later

Everytime i try to to reinstall OS X Moutain Lion this is what it tells me. Been stuck here for over a week now. I called Apple but not much they can do for me over the phone.. someone please help me, really need my macbook pro..Thank you in advance

Not sure how you are trying to reinstall OS X.
You can reinstall Mountain Lion using OS X Recovery
Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to reinstall OS X.

  • An error occurred while downloading a larger version of this photo for editing. Please try again later.

I've moved to photos from iphoto and for a while all was good. And quite exciting. My entire 15k photos have migrated and are available on all my devices.
Suddenly, I get this warning when I select or try to edit a photo: Cant Download Photo: An error occurred while downloading a larger version of this photo for editing. Please try again later.
There is an exclamation  mark and a warning triangle on the picture. I am only able to test on my ibook as my Imac is out of action.
If I log in to icloud in Safari, I can down load the full sized image no problem.  Any one got any ideas?

Well stone me, it's started working.  Nothing changed on my side.....  go figure.

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

  • TS1424 "This item is currently being modified. Please try again later."

While attempting to purchase and download a recently aired TV epsiode (Doctor Who: The Snowmen) a message appears that it is currently bing modified, and to try again later.  After poking around on the internet for a bit I was confused since multiple sources said the show would be available online Wed. Dec. 26th.  While trying repeatedly yesterday and this morning I am still unable to purchase this episode.  More distressing, is that it appears other users have been able to buy and enjoy this selection with no problems.  I am wondering if this is a connection issue or if I missed some sort of an update on my computer?

  • Error During Purchase: Please try again later

We have created an app that has free content and are now trying our first in-app purchase. We've updated the app with the in-app purchase and have gotten Apple's approval and it is now available for download on the App store. The problem we are having is that some users are able to download the in-app purchase folio with no problems, while others are getting this error: "Error During Purchase: Please try again later." We are not seeing any differences between the iPad's/app versions being used. The latest versions of iOS and of the app are producing these inconsistent errors. For the ones having errors, we have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but still getting the same error message. Any advice on what could be going on?

    Bob,
    answering your questions:
    - Did you use the same Product ID when creating the in-app purchase and publishing the folio?
Yes, I'm using the same Product ID. So, after publishing the folio, it appears at my in-app test.
    - Are the retail folios set as public?
If I publish a free issue, I can test the download. The problem is when I set it as retail. The issue and the price appears, but when I try to make the purchase, after I confirm my purchase with an Apple test user, with the [Environment: Sandbox], it says: "ERROR DURING PURCHASE - Please try again later"
    - Are your in-app purchases cleared for sale?
I think so. When I published, I've set as Public, Retail and the same Product ID I used at iTunnes Connect. So, when I'm testing at my in-app, the folio appears. Is there any other place I have to go?
    Regards,
    Filipe.

  • TS3297 iTunes store says: "Purchase of this item is currently not available. This item is being modified. Please try again later."

I'm trying to purchase an album via iTunes and I keep getting the message:
"Purchase of this item is currently not available. This item is being modified. Please try again later."
What does that mean? Why is it listed in the store if it's not available? When will it be available?
    iTunes 10.7.0.21
    Thanks.

It means it's being modified, try again later.
Sorry, but which part of that do you not understand?
Perhaps they're changing the price, so while they are doing that, you cannot buy it. It'll save you moaning later that you bought it and then the price went down. Or perhaps they've found that the album is faulty and so it has been removed until they can upload a non-faulty version. In either case, it will be available when Apple are ready to make it available. No one here knows when that will be.
Wait 24 hours and try again. If no luck, wait another 24 hours and try again. Obviously, Apple would prefer you to buy the song from them, so that's why it's still listed. But it's up to you how long you wait before deciding that you've waited long enough and you simply buy the album from another store. You have that choice, it's not compulsory to buy from Apple you know.

  • Purchase of this item is currently not available. This item is being modified. Please try again later.

    Apple Support:
I have tried to purchase albums by Muse dated 2003 and earlier from the iTunes Store in Denmark.
For all of  these I am getting the response:
"Purchase of this item is currently not available. This item is being modified. Please try again later.".
Well its been like this for one week now.
Is it still "being modified" or is it an access error that should not be there and that I am getting a misleading error message?
    Apple please help !
    Thanks,
    Alex

  • Cannot watch movies - all say 'This item is currently being modified.  Please try again later.'

Every movie I try to watch on my AppleTV results in a message stating 'This item is currently being modified.  Please try again later.'  How can I find a fix for this issue?  I am in the UK.  My iTunes account is a US account.  Is that the issue?  This does not cause me any problems with any other aspects of the AppleTV and has never been an issue when using iTunes on my PC and iPad.  Help!

Make sure the country location on your appletv is set to match the country on your iTunes account. Fixed it for me after months of struggling with the same problem.

  • This item is being modified. Please try again later. - Can't purchase.

Trying to buy The Knife "Silent Shout" and all I get is "This item is being modified. Please try again later." Is this something I'm doing wrong? Or is there a problem at the store?
macbook pro   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

There could be a number of reasons why a track shows as not available. The track could have been defective and Apple is waiting for a replacement from the record company, the record company could have requested for some reason that the track be withdrawn, or it could just be an error in the iTMS database (with a couple of million tracks, that's not unlikely).
Contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. Then try again in a week or so and perhaps they'll have corrected the problem.

  • Okay, so I'm trying to download an album from the store on the iPod. It's telling me "Item is currently being modified. Please try again later." Its really starting to make me mad; Is there anyway to get rid of that message?

It's telling me "Item is currently being modified. Please try again later." Its really starting to make me mad; Is there any way to get rid of that message?
PS. The reason I'm downloading directly from the iPod is because the laptop that had my iPod synched to it crashed and the recovery disk didn't fix it. I don't wanna lose all my songs. :/

If it says it is temporarily being modified than you should wait until tomorrow or later tonight. If it keeps happening, try downloading something else. If it has the same message, it is probably a problem with iTunes on your iPod. If it downloads regularly, there must just be a problem with the album.
