This might be a stupid question - change default fonts?

but I am unable to get the default fonts changed to the ones I want to use. Am I missing something simple/basic/obvious? Wouldn't be the first time.
Thanks

This might be a stupid question, but I just bought an IPod G5 60 GB. When you firstconnect your IPod you have to setup your ID. I'm using my brothers computer, who has an IPod too, so now I'm wondering when I set up my ID with his Itunes does his Ipod still work with it??? Or would his ITunes just see my IPod? Or does his Ipod ID change to my ID?
Or does it work without any problems, to setup two IDs on the same computer??
    Thanks!

  • This might be a stupid question but....

Is the Mac Mini with the 9400M video card powerful enough to run final cut studio? I'm using the previous model mac mini to use FCE but I'd really like to get into learning the programs in final cut studio but I dont have the money to spend on the iMac or the Macbook Pro.

  • This might be a stupid question

... and I apologise if it is but I'm trying to find out exactly which Creative Zen mp3 players are compatible with napster to go. Napster provides a fairly outdated list of compatible devices and I'm hoping the Creative Zen X-Fi and/or Creative Zen 6gb are compatible?
    Thanks in advance,

  • I know this might be a stupid question but would I have my data removed after upgrading my iMac (2012) to OSX Mavericks from my current version? (OSX mountain lion)

You are an accident waiting to happen!!!!!  Backing up data
is extremely important as anything may happen at any time.
Relying on a single electronic copy of your data is not a good
    idea at all!!
Now of course, if all your data on your computer has absolutely
no meaning to you, then there is no need to backup.

  • This might be a simple question.   On those sites that do not differentiate between models when on the internet I.e. Facebook when after your comment and you cannot hit "enter" on an iPad for examp. And speed is slow to connect.  What is = to post?

This might be a simple question. On those sites that do not differentiate between CRT, laptop, tablet etc. such as an iPad Mini and using the Facebook site fir example when going to post a comment and you do not have a enter button on the IPad and the speed is slow how do you get your comments to post if we do not have a enter button?

I don't have facebook so I cannot answer but for your personal security, I have asked the hosts to remove your e-mail address.   It is very unwise to publish this.

Simple/silly question: how do I set/change default font/color for outgoing mail messages?

    Just a suggestion..........
Download Thunderbird.  Easier to use when it comes to what you want to do w/your emails.

  • This is probably a stupid question, but what does the red circle with a number in it mean on iCal? It looks just like the emails notification. I do not have anything do or up in my cal.

Actually, another person on the "more like this" had the right answer. It meant I had a notification for an invite that I needed to respond to.
Hope this helps you as much as it helped me.

  • Hello, this might be a basic question, but how do you open QuickTime to record a new webinar? I have a new MacBook Pro with Yosemite and can only get QuickTime to appear in Finder but not actually open to allow me to record something new. Thx.

    Hi Winterwilly,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The article linked below answers your question of how to use QuickTime to record something on your MacBook Pro’s screen.

  • How to change default fonts in Keynote?

How to change default fonts in Keynote?

You can't set a default font.
Instead use a custom slide master with the font you want to use.

  • This is a really stupid question but...

I am a beginer with Motion and on one of my open projects my Utility Window has dissapeared. I've tried brigning it back by pressing command 1, F1, F2, F3, etc and bringing up all the different window layouts....
ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!! I have no idea where it's gone or how to bring it back???

    Welcome to the discussions...
Well, it's not a stupid question, because you haven't posted it as a question... (It's just listed as a topic - you were given the option to mark it as a question when you originally posted it).
However, as they say - Search is your friend...

  • How to change default font in Thunderbird interface

I know this question has been asked and discussed at length, but creating a question appears to be the only way to create an account. If there is another way, please tell.
To the question at hand, relying on an add-on for a simple configuration change such as modifying the UI font is really stretching things. I spent ages trolling through all the options in the default installation, and then went googling before I eventually found the add-on.
I'm surprised it took so long to get the actual message across; perhaps it was ppl thinking differently, using different OSes, I don't know, but I recognized it straight away because it was exactly what I was trying to do. Change the font of the entire UI so that I could actually read it. The default is way too small for me. Changing the message text, etc., is simple; changing the entire UI is not. And again, don't want to change every app, only Thunderbird. I'm using Fedora 21.
It might be worth considering that if so many ppl ask the same question, or have the same issue, then it might be worth making the "extension" part of the base functionality.

Use the Theme Font Size Changer add-on.
That's the answer, unless you choose to fiddle with css coding. I think Thunderbird's design has been caught out by newer high resolution displays. This was a rather less common request a few years ago. The mac retina displays got this particular ball rolling.

  • Unable to change default font in Themes

I have been trying unsuccessfully to change the default font in a theme. When I change the font in one of the master slides and click the Format/Advanced menu item, the "Save as Default for Current Theme" is grayed out, as all all the other options in the Advanced menu. I've tried the same thing from a slide in the presentation [not a master slide] and the same thing occurs.
Any ideas as to what is going on and how I can access this command? Otherwise I'll have to go through each and every master slide and make the change [and that might still not work]. Thanks for any help.

  • Installing downloads to change default font size???

    Hello all,
I am in desperate need of some guidance on the proper way to install a download from the market place. I am blind as a bat and cannot see the default font on any menu. I found "Font Changer" and it said in the description that one would be able to have some control and be able to change font size to be larger and more readable. I found sense analog clock which is big enough for me to read (Thank Goodness) and handcent for texting so I can at least read the texts coming in, although at this point texts come in and I not sure yet why, probably a default setting, but type is to small to read! So let's just say that I am kinda a dummy when it comes to this Droid Pro and making it a user friendly phone. FORMER BLACK BERRY USER!! I am trying desperatley to keep this phone and not end up returning it...out of frustration of my inability to be able to see or read the phones menus, etc.  I guess I am just trying to find a relatively easy way to find, install, and use the ability to make bigger fonts on phone!! I welcome ANY advise or direction!! I just know I NEED HELP!!
Thank you very much, I am really glad there is a forum for us here who are not quite up to speed.
    Sincerely.

Hello ^^ I used to use an app called Go SMS. It was a messaging app that you could customise and stuff. It's easy to change the fonts using that if you want it for just messsages ^^ I used to use ADW Launcher and ADW Launcher X too and I can't remember but I believe you might be able to change font size there? I know you can change the size on the home screen. But since I used the droid 1, it slowed my phone down so I stopped using it all. But I think if your phone has a larger processer it should work find. I think. OTL Good luck!

  • CS2 question - SVGs+default font

    Hi,
I need to know if there is a way to change the default font for SVGs. I have done the thing with editting the "Adobe Illustrator Startup_CMYK" and "RGB" but that seems to only change the default font for new .AI files. Whenever I open a SVG (even though the only font in the SVG is arial) the font box always goes back to myriad. So when ever I need to add text to the page I always have to change the font - which is annoying as all get out because I update several hundred of these buggers a year.
    Any ideas?

Bear with me guys. I'm trying not to panic. I have a ton of files causing me font problems.
    Two issues:
    1) I tried Find Font and it didn't work. When I go to Type, then Font, I find that Blair is listed TWICE - one of them has a blue TT next to it and looks like the font. The other Blair listing does not have a symbol to it's left, does not look like the font, and is listed like this:
< BlairMdITCTT Medium - diamond symbol - then closed bracket >
Now what? Do I need to close one of those and if so HOW, and which one do I close? I do not have font management.
    2) Whether I hit "update or just "ok" to open these old illus 6 files into CS2, the same thing almost always occurs. I'll get the default font message and then I'll open a file for instance, that uses Trajan Bold and Univers. The file doesn't look right, as if it's substituting the fonts. Then when I then go to Type, then Font, these fonts are on the list just ONCE each, and they are listed like this:
< Trajan Bold (then a diamond symbol) >
    < Univers (diamond symbol) >
If I highlight the Trajan Bold word in my document, for instance, a checkmark appears to the left of < Trajan Bold (then a diamond symbol) > but of course it isn't showing up correctly.
THEN, if I open another file that doesn't use these fonts, they do not show up on the font menu list at all.
Are these global problems easily fixable? Explain it to me like I'm six.
P.S. Do these particular font problems have anything to do with the "this legacy text must be updated before you can edit it" issue? Here is another question (link below) I asked a few months earlier which contains extensive answers to the updating questions. I thought I'd cite it below so I don't cause anyone to go off topic.
