This morning all my bookmarks in Safari were there, and now they're not? Why is this?
Suddenly all of my bookmarks in Safari are gone! How can I get them back and why did they delete themselves?

This morning iTunes was updated to the newest version. Now iTunes will not open...it attempts to access the iTunes store and fails. This is only happening on my fiancee's computer...not mine. And it works with other user accounts on her computer, so it's got to be something specific to her. I've tried opening in safe mode and uninstalling/reinstalling with no luck. Hi, I've been playing Smurf's village for a year now and just last week, i tried to get into the app but it keeps rejecting and goes back to the main page. Is there any reason for this? I've been updating the app everytime and now it's not letting me in. Pls advise. Tq
Reset the device, restart the device, try downloading any other app.
All of these are basic steps that could have been found by a simple search of the forums as a resolution for the issue. -

where did my photos go? I started to move a 25GB directory of all my photos to the creative cloud and now they are gone! The directory on my hard drive i gone and they are not in the cloud?
The iCloud Photo Stream only stores up to 1000 photos for thirty days. If you have more that 1000 photos or photos nearing the 30-day mark, you should export them to another device.

Silverlight 5 WebBrowser Control - Is the SL5 WebBrowser control is set to work in IE7 mode only? I have a 3rd party web site I'm hosting and now they will not work with IE 7 Compatibility mode. Looks like this control can't detect I'm setup for IE 9. I'm
running IE 11 with registry hack for IE 9. I think the SL5 webbrowser control is set to work only in IE 7. can some one verify this or tell me how to set the WebBrowser control up to run either IE8, 9, 10 or 11? I have same issue with machines running IE 8

Hmmm. There's a couple of things that might be going on with that one.
Let's try an uninstall and reinstall of QuickTime first.
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel. Select "QuickTime", click "Change" and then click "Remove".
If you're using & or Vista, head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select QuickTime, and then click "Uninstall".
You can get QuickTime back either via Apple Software Update (in your Start menu go "All Programs > Apple Software Update" ... QuickTime should appear in the "New Programs" section), or by downloading a QuickTimeInstaller.exe from the following location:

I had all of my important file in my locked folder and now the app is missing and it is no longer available on the App Store.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

My Safari did updates and now it will not open. How do I fix this?
My computer did updates about a week ago and ever since then the internet will not open. It says it downloaded safari 5.1.1, when I try to open safari it comes up with a message saying the community toolbar does not support the version I am using.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I found a work around:
1. In iTunes, in the left drop down menu, choose books. This should show all the books you currently have in iTunes.
2. Select PDFs in the bar above the books.
3. Drag the PDF you would like to add to your iPad. As you start to drag it, a menu will open on the right side of iTunes. You should see all of your devices (assuming you are using WiFi sync).
4. Drag the PDF to your iPad. A sync will begin immediately.
It's not perfect, but it just worked for me. -
From regedit in windows 7, various registry files containing "mozilla" were deleted accidentally after uninstallation of firefox. I reinstalled firefox and it is working fine except for disappeared firefox icon. I tried restore windows to a previous version but it didn't help. Can deleted registry files not be restored? I didn't backup the registry before making changes. Is there any way to fix the problem? Please help. I shall really be very grateful to you.

When I turned my computer on this morning, all of my desktop icons were missing and I wasn't able to open any programs. I logged off and logged on 3 times before it was all back to normal. ANy idea what caused this? Thanks!

I started firefox this morning just like normal, I didn't change ANYTHING on firefox or on my computer. Now all my bookmarks were randomly erased, and now Hulu is not working. This is the error message from hulu:
"It appears that software on your computer is blocking JavaScript. To enjoy Hulu.com, you'll need to enable JavaScript in your web browser. Please configure your security software or browser plugins to allow Hulu.com to load JavaScript. "

I tried looking for bookmarks backups and there are none on my computer, so I am now forced to go through and remake all my bookmarks.
This makes absolutely no sense and I don't understand why no one has a decent answer. I better not see a god damn moderator get on here and tell me "this is not typical behavior". What a load of crap! I've seen other questions on here about the same damn thing that are still unresolved.Okay, take a deep breath. Everyone is responding to your problem of losing your settings. Firefox settings folders are called profiles. If you can switch Firefox from whatever pretty much empty profile folder it is using now back to your previous profile, this should resolve your issue. Hopefully with that context in mind, the earlier replies will make more sense.
Also, Java is a plugin used to play certain applets and JavaScript is a technology built into Firefox. For now, you can ignore Java and focus on JavaScript.
JavaScript is enabled by default. To switch the setting, you can use the about:config preferences editor. Here's how:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''java''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) If '''javascript.enabled''' is user set to false, double-click it to switch it back to the default value of true. -
Last night my iphone screen all of a sudden was solid blue and now it is black. I tried turning it on and off. Still nothing appeared on the screen. I put it on the charger and this morning it is totally black. However, when I hit the on and off button, I did hear the text message signal go off. When I turned the volume on and off a big white bell flashed. In the last week, there were some other display problems such as the screen blowing up large. The only way to fix it was to turn off the phone and then turn it back on.
What does all of this mean? It seems like I've had these problems since the iphone 4 upgrade.just do reset, press home button and power butoon for a while untill you can see apple

After updating to ios 6 on my iphone 4 all my bookmarks in safari disappeared (in addition my earlier problem with access to my inbox!!). Why does this happen and is there any way to restore them? (And why should I have to spend my time solving problems caused by Apple when I payed that much for my phone???)
I now realise that there is no option to add bookmarks in my safari! Seems I have look for a nuce Android tomorrow! Sorry about the whining but I get so frustrated!
