Ok everyone this is my first post on here and I'm in a bit of a jam. I've got a major project we just finished shooting(training film for one of the nation's biggest orgs) and I've been thrown into the ring as the one to do the authoring. I'll try to say as much as I can without infringing on the NDA. This video will help save a lot of lives so I appreciate it and hopefully someone else will live another day because of your help!
So I have this 1:20 minute long training film with approximately 35-45 different places that need to be able to go back and forth on. Here is where it gets hairy. There are 2 versions of this film. One is if it's taking in conjunction with one course and another if it is stand alone. The difference lays in the wording of the introduction to the 3 different sections, one section summary ending, and one section that is either played in the other course or is included in the stand alone.
On top of that, there needs to be options on whether the last 2-3 sections get played or not. it's an adult, child, and infant thing. You always do adult. You may or may not do child or infant.
ON TOP OF THAT some parts there are is a pause to allow the instructor to get things together and some parts there needs to be some kind of choice on whether or not a practice section is repeated to be viewed again or whether it can go on.
So here is what I have going on.
I've got buttons and menus in the begging which ask the users these different questions and those results get stored in a gprm(a yes =1 no =0 kind of thing).
I've got the film as it's played with the other course(this is the normal version) in one track with chapter markers at all the different sections.
I've placed 5 other tracks, those 5 different sections which make the normal version, the alternative version.
My idea was to place scripts on some of the chapters end jumps that controlled whether the next chapter gets played or not. After a chapter where a pause is needed, I've got a script that gets the sprm7 number and stores it in a gprm and then goes into a dynamic menu also which has a big pause symbol and contains a play button that ads 1 to that gprm.
I haven't created the menu yet which will allow me to view these sections.
Ok so the problems are in the user navigation. I'm having a hard time testing this thing because there are so many options that need to be accounted for, but I think it's messing up when they are trying to go back and forth, which an instructor would need to be able to do. But since the scripts are in the end jump, I think it's missing them. Also on the sections with the pause, it doesn't seem to be able move forward on that one.
This is a nightmare. Is there a better way to do this?
Again anything that can help point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Achieving the desired navigation with the most MPC (Maximum Player Compatibility) for this disc is just part of the battle. There are myriad other 'best practices', settings, 'gotcha avoidance strategies', tips, optimizations and other considerations, etc., to get a DVD SP project like this to be wildly successful through replication and out to market.

Perhaps that recipient does not have MMS texting as part of their cell service. They may only have SMS texting which does not support pictures.

How to force RH9 to use only one master stylesheet for all Word imports?

I have set a stylesheet (css) as the default for my RH9 WebHelp project in project settings. When I import Word documents into the project, the edit import setting dialog does not show this stylesheet in the list of available stylesheets for the import.
What is happening instead is a proliferation of unwanted stylesheets derived from all the imported documents. I then have to manually re-set all the new topics to the master stylesheet.
How can I stop this, and force RH9 to use only the one master stylesheet for all imports?

That’s what I thought I was doing in the Project Settings>Import tab>CSS for Style Mapping selection. Maybe that isn’t what it’s meant to do. It’s just getting annoying having all these unneeded files popping up in the project manager so that I have trouble distinguishing the “real” topics from the extra stuff.

I run firefox on three computers and on this one my website font is not correct. All of my boxes are set up the same. Please advise.

As I mentioned above I have three pc's all running win7 and firefox 6.02. On this box website fonts are different than the others. All of the "option" settings are identical on all of the boxes. Including "allow pages to choose their own fonts". I uninstalled 6.02 and installed 5.0 but there was no difference. So I reset to 6.02.
The pages look fine in IE.
Please advise.

That change needs to be made to the CSS file that is on the web server.
So if you use a CSS file or have the CSS code in the main HTML file then add <b>font-stretch: condensed;</b> to all CSS rules that have a ''font-family: "Arial Narrow";''
If you do not have access to the page code and can't modify it then there is not much that you can do.

HT1695 My daughter's ipod no longer connects to our Wifi, all other devices are fine, it is just this one...

My daughers ipod can not connect to wifi. ALl other devices in our house do, so I am not sure if this one ahs been dropped too mnay times. All settings are fine, as I manage all the other devices, so I know it is an issue with this ipod.

Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Batch photos analysis, correction and processing - One size (analysis and correction) does not fit all

PS CC 2014, Bridge and ACR. iMac. 100 pictures. Each picture was taken in a totally difference environment (lighting, noon and evening. inside, outside, ISO, etc). I need to process all 100 photos in ACR at the same time (don’t have time to manually analyze and edit one photo at a time) whereby each picture receives it own unique individual AUTO analysis and correction. One identical cookie cutter analysis and correction for all 100 photos will NOT work. I have the same question using LIGHTROOM. I will end up adopting whichever solution (ACR or LIGHTROOM) is the easiest and fastest. I do realize that I will have to go back and tweak each photo. Thanks. Bob

hi everyone. i'm desperate for help and appreciate any assistance here. i have a 60 GB iPod, and i have about 30 GB of music on iTunes and the iPod. all of a sudden, at the bottom of my iTunes, it says i have 8,663 songs (which is correct), but that the total GB count is 4,381.02 GB which is physically impossible!!! to top it off, when i connected my iPod, the program, thinking it had over four thousand gigs of music to put into a 60 gig iPod, chose to sync some songs and delete thousands of others.
to make a long story short, i lost the vast majority of my songs on my iPod and even after uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, the program still says i have over 4,000 GB of music from the 8,000 songs. i can't find help or answers anywhere. if anyone can help me out, i'd be eternally grateful.

Seems to be a common enough problem. I've deleted the partial failed backup from iCloud, restoring all 5Gb of storage. Then started a manual backup. After about 20 minutes I get the same error message. I have repeated this several times. According to my iTunes on my laptop I managed one backup to iCloud from there but it is pointless if u can neither backup to or restore from iCloud via my iPhone 4. I had hoped ios 5.0.1 would solve this glitch but ....
So much for "it just works".
I have yet to see any suggested fix that works for me. Any other suggestions?
