What "Apple site" are you referring to? If you are referring to the iTunes Store, go to the Store menu in iTunes and choose "Sign Out".
If that's not what you mean, please explain further.
This wouldn't seem to be related to an iPod touch, BTW.

Probably a really Stupid Question - HELP!!!

I am brand new to Java, the kit, and everything inside it. After downloading and installing the software, I thought I would try some of the examples first before attempting to write one of my own applets. For this reference I went to: c:\j2sdk1.4.0\demo\applets\blink and clicked on the "example1.html" file and got the following error in Windows Explorer 7.0:
No JDK 1.3 support for APPLET!!
How do I get this support for my copy of IE 7??? Do I have to download something or is it a setting inside IE7??? THANKS to ANYONE out there that can give me some insight on this problem.

It must be some problem with the installation of jdk. Try to create that key in the registry.
In the run menu type "regedit". Go to the key specified in the error message and add the JavaHome subkez with the value:
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.0
Or look for the location of the "Java\j2re1.4.0" folder in your PC.
Also check to see if there is a subkey "UseJava2IExplorer" with the value "0x00000001 (1)", I mean value 1 hexadecimal.
Restart Windows and try again. If this does not work maybe you can try to reinstall JDK1.4

This is a really stupid question but...

I am a beginer with Motion and on one of my open projects my Utility Window has dissapeared. I've tried brigning it back by pressing command 1, F1, F2, F3, etc and bringing up all the different window layouts....
ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!! I have no idea where it's gone or how to bring it back???

The most stupid question by me

I have a new ipod. How many computers can I connect it to?
My kids say three or five (depending on the weather).
The reason I'm asking is:
1. My nano is not recognized by my mac running OS 10.3.9
2. I bought a new iBook, due five days from now.
3. My two kids run windows and will be getting new iBooks for gifts soon. I would like to use their computers for the next four days to upload onto the nano.
Is there a connection restriction to the ipod preventing me from further use?

You can connect the iPod to as many computers as you like. The limit of 5 computers you are hearing about has to do with the number of computers that can be authorised to play content that you purchase from the iTunes Store. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. In this mode you can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:

Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. This is probably a really stupid question...

I moved recently and I was going to setup my router at the new place, I still have my discs and everything but I need to actually change some of the settings on the router. But I don't have any of the paperwork that came with it so I can't remember what the password to the router was, I never changed it so it should be the default so if someone could plz just tell me what the default password is that'd be great. I think there isn't a default username right, that part is just blank? So I guess i might need the default username and password.

To enter the router ui open your browser and type in http://192.168.1.1 (thats defualt) unless you changed it. If you cahanged it the click start>run then type in CMD then click ok. When the prompt opens up type in ipconfig /all <enter>. That should tell you the gateway IP which is your router in most cases. Then try that IP to enter the routers ui if its been changed. When you enter in the correct IP a window will open asking for a user and password. By defualt the user is left blank (some routers it is admin) and the password is admin. That should get you into the routers ui to reconfigure it for your new ISP.
Note: If this doesn't work due to a password you may have forgot then hard reset the router by pushing/holding the reset button for more then 30 seconds. Then enter the routers ui with the defualt settings.

As Silkrooster points out, as a stand-alone, no, but with various suites, then yes. If you have not purchased yet, do check out the suites, as they are often such a great deal, that they are hard to pass up. When offered the option to go to what was then called the Production Studio suite, I got Premiere Pro, Encore, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator, for less than the price (remember, this was an upgrade) of one of those programs at full-price.
One caveat: if one does go to a suite, then the individual program upgrade paths will no longer be available. Once one goes to a suite, the upgrades available will be for the entire suite, so choose wisely.

Posting TO the forum via an email interface - probably OK, though even that leaves me with a vague uneasy feelilng. Allowing reply FROM the forum TO someone's email .. absolutely poison. In addition to opening a market for brain dumps, there are far too many on the forum that expect the 'gurus' to be at their personal beck and call. Forgive the slight mis-placement but.. I'm looking to move my Mail from my desktop Mac Pro to my Macbook Pro! Can anybody advise the best method that will maintain the current email archive and listings, thus being no change whatsoever once moved to the Macbook?

Not sure what you are talking about? If the post, which I did not see, was posted in this forum (Mail and Address Book) then it was the correct forum. Your saying there was no forum for Apple Mail would probably have not helped get a reply.
The correct and simplest method to move is to transplant both the com.apple.mail.plist file from Home/Library/Preferences and the Mail folder from Home/Library from the one Mac to the other.

I want to hide an application so that it doesn't show up on the iPhone (4S w/ iOS 6.1) or on the Apps screen when I sync my iPhone to the computer. I used to be able to do this before the upgrade. Is there a way?

Before I upgraded to iOS 6, there was a way to hide an application on my phone. When you did this is only showed up in Featured Apps in the App Store and specifically, would only appear in "Hidden Apps". Also, the app wouldn't show up at all on my device when I sync to the computer. I can't figure out how to hide an app anymore. Can anyone help? Oh and I'm talking about purchased apps...not the ones that come standard with the iPhone.

Seems that you can no longer hide them on your phone. Try doing so in iTunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919.

So, once the media gets put on the iPod (music, movies, whatever)
That's it, right? Dead End? You can't load it back into iTunes? or transfer it to another computer... right?
Here's why I'm asking. I just spent a week ripping all of my cd's onto my new iPod (Xmas gift) and would not necessarily want to keep all of those tunes in my iTunes folder on the computer. So, all the music is on the iPod, but the iTunes library is empty. If I wanted to put a song back into iTunes from my iPod, could I do that?

There are software on the market that does this (Anyone?), but if you have iTunes on manual update and then connect your iPod you will be ok. You can go to "My computer" and "Tools". Then allow for hidden files to be shown. When you connect your iPod you will have this as an external drive and you can copy the files to your computer and then pick them up by iTunes. However it is very IMPORTANT that you did not leave it on automatic update. Then you will loose everything on your iPod when connecting it. The best thing to do if you do not have enough space on your computer is to buy an external hardrive that you can connect through the USB. This is fairly low priced these days and you will have your music and videos even if your computer breaks down.

Probably a really stupid question...

In an effort to clean out my ipod I have somehow deleted the recently added catagory. I really enjoyed that feature because it let me see which music I had downloaded last and let me listen to it all in a playlist without having to move the files anywhere.
Can someone please help me figure out how to get this feature back????
