"This program cant install because MSVCR110.dll is missing".. but it isn't. Help please.

As the title says, the installer thinks the MSVCR110.dll file is missing. I have reinstalled the latest version of Visual C++ just to be sure the file wasn't corrupt.  I then checked my system32 folder and the file is there but Adobe updater doesn't seem to know where to find it. I have adobe flash player installed, its the latest update that will not install. Not an urgent issue considering i do have flash. but i'd like to figure this out. Thanks

I have solved the problem on my system and would like to share the solution.  This solution applies to Windows 7 64 bit (x64) operating system.
(1) First step was installing the  Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012.  I installed the (x64) version which applies to my 64 bit operating system.
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
(2) After restarting I verified that MSVCR110.dll was installed.  I found it in the System32 folder where .dll files normally go.
File path:  Computer >> OSDisk(C:) >> Windows >> System32
** Here's the problem! In 64 bit systems the MSVCR110.dll must also reside in the SysWOW64 folder as well.  That's apparently where the Adobe Flash Installer is searching for the MSVCR110.dll file.
(3) I opened the SysWOW64 folder and verified that MSVCR110.dll was not there.
File path:  Computer >> OSDisk(C:) >> Windows >> SysWOW64
(4) I opened both the System32 and SysWOW64 side by side and COPIED MSVCR110.dll from the System32 over to the SysWOW64 folder.  So now BOTH folders have a copy.
(5) I retried installing Adobe Flash Installer and it worked!
Dear Adobe.  I just saved you a ton of workforce hours trying to solve this problem.  I would like a 1 year subscription to Photoshop/Lightroom please.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

    Hey Dianna Walker,
Thanks for the question. Yes, you'll want to completely remove iTunes and all related components (it is important to remove all components in the order listed):

  • On launch of HP Solution Centre:- "Program cant start because ATL90.DLL is missing..."

I would be very grateful for advice regarding the following message that I have only recently started to experience
I have had the HP All-In-One C6380 printer for a few years.
When I launch the "HP Solution Centre" and other associated software I receive the message below.
I have tried many things, too many to place in this message, to try and resolve the issue. Message is
    "Hpqdirec.exe - System Error
The program can't start because ATL90.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
I have tried many things, including the following:-
    - Completely uninstalled and then reinstalled the HP software several times - from supplied disk and using latest   downloaded software from the HP website
    - Several Restore points
    - Windows "Start up Repair" option
    - "Scannow"
    - Ran Virus Scanners
    - Ran the following Registry repair tools: RegZooka, RegGenie and Registry Mechanic

    Hi there,
Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03275041&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en
It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on.
    Best of Luck!

When/where are you getting this error. Are you getting this error moment you start setup.exe file ?
Do you find logs related to setup in
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Setup Bootstrap\Log

I've just (finally) managed to fix this problem today. I checked the Apple Support forums, and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem.
I rang the Apple Support line, and the very helpful man (thanks Alan!) talked me through it stage by stage. If you go to the following page on the internet: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376   it takes you through the process. WARNING - it takes a little time!
Basically, the first thing you have to do is go to your Program Files and double click on your iTunes folder. There'll be a number of files with the suffix .dll - you need to move all the .dll files from that folder to your desktop - you can simply click and drag them on the desktop..
Next, uninstall iTunes - go to Control Panel / Add/Rempve Programs and when the list comes up remove iTunes. This will take a few minutes... Then reboot your computer.
Next, go back to Control Panel / Add Remove and Remove - IN THIS ORDER -
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot again!
Next, check in your Program Files that the iTunes folder is completely gone - if it has, great: if it hasn't, right-click on the folder and press Shift and Delete - it will say "Are you sure you want to completely remove the folder "iTunes"? Click on "Yes".
    Reboot!
Then go to the iTunes download page and voila! It should download iTunes without any problems... well it did for me.... Good luck!

  • Acrord32.exe system error the program cant start because msvcp100.dll

    Hello Adobe Community,
Im having problems with an XP Pro machine that is joined to a domain where i keep getting the following error message : " acrord32.exe system error the program cant start because msvcp100.dll"
I can temporarily solve this by uninstalling Adobe Reader and then reinstalling it. But the next day the computer restarts the same error comes up again. In other forum there was a solution to install Microsoft Visual C++. I installed it but the same problem happen again the next day. The Adobe Reader version I have installed its XI (11.0.03). If you guys could help me with this issue that would be great

It's not C++ you need to install, but the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable package.  But I have no idea why this happens again the next day.

This error can occur if there are older plugins lingering in your plugins folder of Photoshop after installing Suite 8 and trying to launch Photoshop. To correct the error go to your: [Local Disk (C:)]\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CSx 64bit\Plugins:Delete
PS:   I only deleted the old obsolete OnOne plugins, and left their  newer plugins, That worked and now Elements 10 is working just fine
