Hi there,
I'm making my first steps in After Effects.
I bought Classroom in a book After Effects cc.
The first step i have to take in lesson 1 is "Open and play the lesson01.mov sample movie to see what you will create in this lesson.
When i dubbel click this file.. this message pops up in AE (This project must be converted from version (macintosh 64) 12.0.x293. The original file will be unchanged)
The file will not play, and in the composition panel only a test image appears.
Why is this and how can i fix it?
I allready finished Lesson 1 but i still hope someone can explain me this message.
I hope its not a stupid question but it is particularly difficult for me because English is not my native language and all the lesson material is in English.

The warning simply means that the file was created in an older version of AE. The other issue is that you did not put your footage in the correct locations and it is missing. Use File --> Replace Footage to point to the proper storage locations.

My problem is the backup is lost too, because the computer that contain the backup was lost with the original photo. It seems to me that the image is stored on the phone in some type of memory. I'm willing to destroy the phone in order to retrieve the image. Any thoughts on where or how the wallpaper is stored on the phone itself?

ITunes converted my photos and I can't find the original files.

I installed iTunes on Windows Vista and synced my photos with iTunes. Now the photos are gone and some .ithmb files exist which I cannot look at. Also The structure I had organized my original photos in is gone. How can I get my photos back?

The ithmb files should be in the photo cache folder that iTunes creates when syncing the photos to your device, and your originals should still be in their original folders. If you go up a couple of directories from where you're looking at an .ithmb file then you should see the folders that you synced.

I have upgraded to a new computer and Windows 8. I cannot install Photoshop 6 which was an upgrade version from Windows 5.5, 5, 5. The original 5 will not install and without it, the Photoshop 6 has no original version to load from.

If you were actually talking about CS5.5 and an upgrade to CS6, you only need the serial numbers from both products. Adobe's installer will look for CS5.5 on your system and when it doesn't find it, you will be prompted to enter that qualifying product's serial number.

ITunes no longers asks "Do you want to keep the original file or move to trash?" - Can this be fixed?

I'm not sure if this was a recent update in Mavericks, but when I used to delete items from iTunes it would ask something along the lines of:
Do you want to keep the original file or move to trash?
Now I no longer get this, instead iTunes asks:
Are you sure you want to delete the selected song from your iTunes library?
After which, if you choose the option "Delete Song", you get no option to keep the original file, it just straight up deletes if from my library and hard drive. Does anyone know if there is a way around this? For whatever reason, I want to be able to keep the original file on my Mac, without keeping it in my iTunes library.
I've tried resetting dialogue warning, and this hasn't made a difference.

You can use "Ctrl +" and "Ctrl -" to zoom pages quickly and "Ctr 0" (zero) to reset the page zoom.

Selected App cannot be used because the original file cannot be found and must be re-downlaoded from the iTunes

1- on the beginning i used to purchase any App from iTunes and will be downloaded to my MBAir with out any problems .
2- But, after 2 or 3 days i will get Apps icon as inactive icon in the itunes Aplication and cannot copy them to my iPhone neither cannot open them in his iTunes and i will get an error message " selected App cannot be used because the original file cannot be found and must be re-downlaoded from the iTunes".

I was given the option to locate the file where the song is held. If so select "locate" and direct it to the folder / file where the song is and open it. itunes then will give you the option to use this process to update all of your library. OK that as this will do it automatically instead of doing them one by one. I hope this helps.

I am having a similar problem. I have over 4000 songs giving me this error. I certainily don't want to go in one by one and find them. I know you wrote a script for Windows but I am a Mac user. Is there a fix for me? Here is the info on where the song is currently (used by doing the get info)

I moved my itunes files from one computer to the other and now I'm getting this error on about 50% of my songs when I click on them.

Moving a library from machine to another can require some preparation if it is to go smoothly.
As long as the files are organized within a media folder in a way that is vaguley consistent with iTunes, i.e. folders for artists, with subfolders for albums, then my FindTracks script might be able to relink the files.
