Yes.
1) Have the friend type '''about:support''' in Location bar and hit Enter. He would get the extensionID in the extensions table there.
2) Then he should locate his [[profiles|profile folder]]/extensions/extensionID/ folder and compress its contents to a .zip file and send it to you.
3) You rename it to '''uimap.xpi''' and drag onto the tools>addons window.
The addons.mozilla.org website had a change in reviewing policy take effect this week. All addons not reviewed by the website Editors team have been disabled and are no longer public. Probably the developer of the addon in question didn't check his email in time, and unfortunately some users like you have problems. If you let the developer know of the problem, he can get the addon public again.
Please let us know whether the steps suggested to retrive the addon from your friend work.

The friend who sold it to you needed to clear his Apple ID off the phone before he sold it to you. Of course if it wasn't his phone in the first place then he could not do so. He is your friend but you don't know where he is?
There is nothing that will help you short of getting the password for the Apple ID from your friend. If you cannot obtain that there is no workaround. -

Read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data. Quit the App Store application if it’s running. Test after each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:

Here, "*" stand for a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes.
Step 4
If you still have problems, quit the App Store again.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). A folder should open. Inside that folder, there may be a subfolder with the name "com.apple.SoftwareUpdate". If so, delete it. You can then quit Terminal. -

I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. How can I transfer files from one external HD (WD My Passport 2T) to another external HD (Seagate Backup Plus 2T)? WD drive was improperly ejected (although we did tell it to eject) and now Finder no longer recognizes it. Using MacBook Pro and I just upgraded to Yosemite before this happened. Was told at Apple Store to use Disk Utility to repartition, but it failed. It says to backup files and restore. But how do I backup files? Or would appreciate any other suggestions to repair drive.

Should you run into trouble.
Take the exernal drive appart. Take out the harddrive. Try reading the data via a usb adapter. Put a household finan on the hd.

No. you cannot.
This, among many other reasons, is why multiple catalogs are not recommended.
(You could import the photo into another catalog, and delete from the first catalog ... and without first using the command File->Write Tags, you will lose your tags, captions and other metdata; version sets, stacks, album/collection membership are lost in any case) -

You can, if you want to transfer files between macs I advies to use AirDrop(wi-fi needs to be enabled). Use shift+command+R, this will take you to your AirDrop in finder. Do this on both computers and you should see the user of the mac where you want to transfer files to.
If the seconds computer is a Windows, you can alway use a USB Drive, External Drive, through Dropbox(install dropbox on both computers and download the files that you need on the second computer) and if the file is small even mail.

Why not just connect the PC directly to the TC by ethernet and copy the files over?
It is hugely faster and much less mucking around.
In windows load the airport utility for windows.. if you have not already as this will help you access the drive.

When I am syncing music to my iphone, and I check the box that says "Automatically fill free space with songs," how does itunes determine which songs it puts on my phone? Can I prevent it from placing unchecked songs in my library on my phone?
