This really is my last res

I brought a ZVM 30g from a private seller, after alot of help on here I finally got the player to work. We brought the dock and power charger from Creative. If I have the player in its dock and attached to the power AC DC adaptor it will work, but not charge, in fact a two pronged plug icon comes up first and then an icon with a plug in it (green) I can use the player as normal, the minute I take it out of the dock or take off the power supply it turns off, not even the blue led on the on/off switch. I have plugged it into about every usb port we have, and between us we have 6!!! and the player will not charge, its impossible to reset as the only time its actually on is whilst its in its dock and you cannot get to the reset hole.....the player is recognised in the dock with power cable on my pc and on my laptop, but without the power cable and just the usb cable attached it is not showing on either computer. I have contacted customer services and because I brought it brand new from a private seller are not interested and will offer no warranty, I asked if we could buy a new battery, as this seems the only logical solution, to be told no the battery is built in and they do not sell them. So before I throw the unit out of the window from a great height and then cry, can anyone help at all?

Hi and thank you all for your time and messages, Customer Services have told me that the unit I brought, by the serial number is a re-furbished unit, I brought it on ebay from a seller who seemed to sell alot of these units and had good feedback, BUT he advertised it as BRAND NEW, I have emailed him and asked him to contact me urgently, I will try rolling IE back to 9 but on't hold out much hope, but you never know. Again thank you, its much appreciated.

I changed my ID due to an email accessibility issue and I lost access to all my purchased music for the last few years.  Been browsing through the support area and it seems like everyone is saying I will have to rebuy everything.  Is this really true?
Apple has to be more user friendly than to let something like this happen, right?

Did you change the ID, or did you create a new Apple ID? If you had simply changed the ID then what I suggested above should work as the ID itself is the same (even though the name of the ID - the address - has changed).
However if you created a new ID, logged in with that, and purchased items on it, then you have two separate IDs each with purchased associated with them. You say that you can't log in to the original account with the 'alternate' email - have you tried logging in with the original email address? It doesn't matter if it doesn't actually work to receive mail, as far as logging in is concerned it's just a text string.

    Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. <br>
'''Note''': ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.''
*Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
    #Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] article.

  • Is this REALLY the easiest/best way to do this?

I'm no SQL guru by any means, but I can get by. Here is some background.
I am running Perfmon Data Collector Sets to collect performance counters.
I am using Relog.exe to take the .blg files and pushing them into a database
I am attempting to write a query that will ultimately get the information out of the database and see if I can aggregate the data a bit as well. If the last part is better off doing in Excel (where this data will ultimately end up for charting), then I will
    do that part there.
Here is the table layouts when you import the .blg files:
    Table name: CounterData
    Columns:
    GUID
    CounterID
    RecordIndex
    CounterDateTime
    CounterValue
    FirstValueA
    FirstValueB
    SecondValueA
    SecondValueB
    MultiCount
    Table Name: CounterDetails
    CounterID
    MachineName
    ObjectName
    CounterName
    CounterType
    DefaultScale
    InstanceName
    InstanceIndex
    ParentName
    ParentObjectID
    TimeBaseA
    TimeBaseB
I need to pull multiple sets of data out of these tables, so I built the following query:
    USE PDB
    SELECT
CAST(LEFT(CounterDateTime, 16) as smalldatetime) AS CounterDateTime,
    REPLACE(CounterDetails.MachineName,'\\','') AS ComputerName,
    CounterDetails.ObjectName + ISNULL('(' + CounterDetails.InstanceName + ')','') + '\' + CounterDetails.CounterName AS [Counter],
    CounterData.CounterValue
    FROM CounterData
FULL OUTER JOIN CounterDetails ON CounterData.CounterID = CounterDetails.CounterID
FULL OUTER JOIN DisplayToID ON CounterData.GUID = DisplayToID.GUID
    WHERE CounterDetails.ObjectName = 'Processor'
    AND CounterDetails.CounterName = '% Processor Time'
    AND CounterDetails.InstanceName = '_Total'
    UNION
    SELECT
CAST(LEFT(CounterDateTime, 16) as smalldatetime) AS CounterDateTime,
    REPLACE(CounterDetails.MachineName,'\\','') AS ComputerName,
    CounterDetails.ObjectName + ISNULL('(' + CounterDetails.InstanceName + ')','') + '\' + CounterDetails.CounterName AS [Counter],
    CounterData.CounterValue
    FROM CounterData
FULL OUTER JOIN CounterDetails ON CounterData.CounterID = CounterDetails.CounterID
FULL OUTER JOIN DisplayToID ON CounterData.GUID = DisplayToID.GUID
    WHERE CounterDetails.ObjectName = 'Web Service'
    AND CounterDetails.CounterName = 'Bytes Received/sec'
    AND CounterDetails.InstanceName = 'AppName'
    ORDER BY 1
Is this REALLY the best way to do this?
Also, trying to figure out how to build in data aggregation in 5 minute average blocks.
    Any assistance appreciated!

    Erland,
    Thanks for your response.
The related items in the table are CounterID, in a nutshell, what I want to do is the following:
Get the data from the CounterDetails table that holds the MachineName, CounterName, CounterType and so forth.
CounterID MachineName ObjectName CounterName CounterType DefaultScale InstanceName InstanceIndex ParentName ParentObjectID TimeBaseA TimeBaseB

  • My I pad2 shouted out an alert n told me to go to the website SSOPM dot com to fix n restore protection, is this really from Apple? Or virus?

My I pad2 shouted out an alert, repeating it several times then told me to go to the website SSOPM dot com to fix n restore protection.  Is this really from Apple or is it Spam or. Threat?

I don't think so...I am pretty afraid to hit anything I don't know about...which is a lot!  But when I tried to update my iPad last week or so I had a heck of a time. I had too many questions and I had to be connected to my computer si I could not stop in the store for help.  I will have to check with the store on Monday.  Thank you.

  • I want to ask a question but is it supposed to go in this "Ask Your Question" field or should this really be a synopsis or a tersely worded teaser, like a "subject" line?

    Oh.
When I pushed the "Ask your question of the community" I got this empty box. But I've already asked my question. Should I copy and paste it into this box?
    > I want to ask a question but is it supposed to go in this "Ask Your Question" field or should this really be a synopsis or a tersely worded teaser, like a "subject" line?<
There. Now I have asked the same question, which is of questionable value, for sure, twice. So, if someone answers it, they will get twice the points. Right? Or is there another box for that? Should I paste the question into another box? Twice?
I've been around here for a l-o-n-g time, longer than ol' BenB by several years, so you'd think I'd know better.
    Maybe I do.

  • My left shift key on Macbook Pro Retina (15") is behaving like the F11 key (show/hide open windows).  The key behaves the same for the laptop keyboard and for an external Apple keyboard?  This just started in last week after 6 months of use

My left shift key on Macbook Pro Retina (15") is behaving like the F11 key (show/hide open windows).
The left shift key behaves the same on the laptop keyboard and on an external Apple keyboard.
This just started in last week after 6 months of use.  The right shift key and other keys on the keyboard all appear to work correctly.
    Suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a solution to this issue now after a discussion with Apple Support.  Some where in the last few weeks, there was a change in the key that would do a Show Desktop under the Mission Control settings in the System Preferences.  Even though the key sequence that was shown for the Show Desktop setting did not include the Left SHift key, by changing this first to having no key sequence and applying that and then changing it back to the F11 key, the Left SHift key issue that I was having has cleared up.
A second issue that was uncovered was that the SSD had some issues (uncovered when I ran Disk Utility using the Repair Disk key).  I had to restart and use the Disk Utility through the Command R sequence to get to the stand alone Disk Utility.  The SSD appears to be running better as a result as well.
Hope that this is of use to someone else in the future.

Take your original proof of purchase from an Apple authorized retailer (or Apple Store) and the police report, make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and they should be able to help you.

I don't have that problem.  Perhaps I touch the screen lower when I wipe down?  I don't know for sure but there's got to be some difference in the way that we wipe down.  you might wish to do some experimenting.

  • Is this really the best I'm going to get?

2 years with BT and had awful connection and speed issues, many numerous long calls to India doing first line tests, mostly being told that I would receive a call back and never do. Recently informed of an upgrade at the exchange but speeds dipped since and have not been any better since.
Been reading these forums for a while, I am plugged into master socket, the one with BT Openreach logo on, ring wire removed, connected for over 3 days, no other phones in sockets. I was always told as I am 1.6k from the exchange speeds were not to be great but next door shows as 4-6k, I'm lucky to have dial up speeds most of the time.
It appears that other people within feet of me are having decent speeds, mostly via Talk Talk I hasten to add but was told that it would make no difference as BT are the main supplier.
The quiet line check appears in order, no noises or crackles seems a little quiet but reported that online a week ago but not heard anything since.
I would be grateful and see from your experience is this really the best I'm going to get?

  • Want to create analysis for this year week vs last year week

    All,
My requirement is to create an analysis for the passed week number of this year vs same last year week no.
So basically user will pass the week no. and report should display the passed week no. this year sales number plus same week no. last year sales number.
    How can I achieve this?
    Thanks

If you ask like this ..I would say like using presentation variable for week
    use measure with exp like
CASE WHEN WEEK=@{WK} AND Time.year=VALUEOF("PREVIOUS_YEAR") THEN #sales END.
In this case week is from your subject area and PREVIOUS_YEAR is rep variable you might have it.
there are other options to get output, need details about your rpd and value of week.

  • 24 hours so far downloading Lion and no end in sight. Is this really the way forward?

Here in the UK a lot of us have fairly pathetic download speeds, so I ask Apple is this really the way forward?

Same for me - started 20.July about 7pm in germany with VDSL capable of 2.5MB/s
Download Started well soon but dropped to about 300KB/s. Stopped and went to bed at about 10pm.
Resumed at 21. July at 7am - between 100KB/s and 300 KB/s for about 90min. Stopped and got to work.
Resumed now at about 2:30p.m. lying between 50KB/s and 100KB/s :-(

when I download a podcast on my iPhone why is the release date missing? This really screws up the sort order.

    Hello yung ron,
It may be that your iPhone's set to sync automatically, which can potentially remove any music that's been added to the device. It may help to set the device to 'manual mode,' so that you have complete and total control over what content is on the device.
