This thing is nothing like the Nano!

Okay, I just got a 32G iPod Touch and so far I pretty much want to marry it, except for a few things that I'm sure there's a logical explanation for. My previous iPod was a dinosaur Nano from back in the day and I'm used to being able to go into settings and change preferences such as song repetition and the like. I can't find this feature ANYWHERE! Also, apparently there's supposed to be a shake to shuffle option that is not listed in settings and I don't have a scrubber bar when songs are playing. I've looked for the answer in all the places I can think of and now I'm asking for help before driving all the way up to the apple store, where they'll probably laugh at me and say, "oh it's this button here...voila." This is a cool little toy, but these problems keep me from absolutely loving it. It's very frustrating!

you obviously didn't read the bit on 'on screen controls' then
tap the screen when playing a song. under the scrubber bar on the left, 'circular' arrows - tap once to repeat the list of songs (either a playlist, or an album etc.) at the end, tap twice to repeat the current track.

Same problem, 3.6.8 and previous recent versions. I never thought to try another browser but I just pasted into IE and it worked fine. I copied from Firefox to IE and it worked as well. It's just when you paste into Firefox that you get the weird line breaks.

'Show duplicates' is now under the 'View' menu. To see the 'Date added' column go to 'View options' from the 'View' menu and check it in the section under 'Stats'.
Click an audiobook once to select it and hit command-i (Mac) or control-i (Windows). Go to the 'Options' tab and set 'Media Kind' to 'Audiobook'.

Why does my BC look nothing like the Tutorials???

My admin console looks NOTHING like the tutorials. There's no top tabs, theres no icons, theres no description of my website pages...it's very plain/vanilla and very much unrefined.

You are in the correct area its just that some of the articles might be referencing the old v2 interface while you are on the new v3 interface.
We're in the process of making sure all our documentation will reflect the new interface however in the meanwhile you can reference articles on this page.

I just installed firefox 4. Sadly my default theme looks nothing like the one in the video..

First you need to use the default theme "Default 4.0" in "Tools" > "Add-ons" > "Appearance".
After that, right click the top bar and unckeck "Menu Bar". This will disable the menu bar and show the orange Firefox button.
Make sure you have also "Tabs on top" checked.
I also see you use ChromiFox theme in Firefox 3. If you want to have a similar theme for Firefox 4, you can download the FXChrome theme.

I have published and taken live several sites and they all looked as expected. The most recent site looks nothing like the Muse site I designed. I published it and BC took me to the home page, where all the background images, graphics, slide show are all missing. Text looks like regular text, not html formatted text. I can't show this. What happened?

Similar situation just happened to me this morning. Opened a Muse site I was working on and when I preview it the web fonts are not showing and alignment is wierd. ??? Was working fine last week.

Lightning is a problem for you because it hooks into Thunderbird at a low level and you need a version compiled for the platform Thunderbird is running on. So you can't do the preferred solution, which is to put your whole profile in a shared folder and have both instances of Thunderbird reference the same profile. (Ditto for Enigmail). Lightning may become an integral part of Thunderbird in an upcoming release, at which point this limitation due to Lightning should disappear.
And if you can't use a shared profile, you can't set your Lightning, or your Address Book, to share a common set of files. Put another way, the linkage from Thunderbird to its address book files and calendar data is hard-coded, and not exposed where we can adjust it. :-(
The halfway house is to place your mail stores in a shared place, and use the Local Directory setting in each account's settings to connect to it. They don't need to be in the profile; what's more important in your case is that they are in a folder accessible to both operating systems.
Look in your profile; everything under Mail and ImapMail needs to be moved out to a shared folder. Note the entries in Thunderbird under Local Directory before you do this, and reconstruct those pathnames in Thunderbird, but adjusted to suit their new locations.
(You can see here that you need to make many adjustments, one per account, in each instance of Thunderbird, so it's a high-maintenance solution and this is why we don't recommend it when the alternative, moving the whole profile, is possible.)
I share address books and calendars between Thunderbirds on various computers (and my phone and tablet) by syncing to something in the cloud; Google Contacts and Google Calendar are my choices, using gContactSync and CalDav.
Having made the break myself some years ago, I'd recommend you break away from Windows. ;-)

Im using Muse whichj crashes like you would not beleive, but after much perseverance I got a basic 4 page holding site together, I tested the site and it all looked fine, when I uploaded it to the server it looks nothing like the site I tested, to the point that even the background has changed colour and nothing is in the rite place.

AirPort 5.6 won't install under Mountain Lion, but it will run once it is.
Here are the basic steps to install version 5.6 under Mountain Lion using CharlesSoft's Pacifist:
If you haven't already download the AirPort Utility disk image file directly from Apple Support Download
Place the resultant AirPortUtility56.dmg file onto your Mac's Desktop.
Run Pacifist.
Click on the Open Package option. Find the disk image file that you just placed on your desktop, and then, click on Open.
The utility is located as follows: Contents of AirPortUtility56.dmg > Contents of AirPortUtility56.pkg > Contents of AirPortUtility56Lion.pkg > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility 5.6.app
Drag AirPort Utility 5.6.app to your Mac's /Applications/Utilities folder.
You can now run the AirPort Utility from the Utilities folder.

My Firefox front page looks nothing like the new one shown on the download page

I've just updated as per your updater, but still sit with a plain white page with the "Moz Firefox" sign, nothing resembling the page shown on your update advisory page, with the tab for saving your most use sites, etc. The same page it has always been.

The final version might have picked up your existing profile preferences...
To restore your location bar, right-click after the menu bar and choose Navigation Toolbar from the pop-up.
Use the same pop-up to change the position of tabs (check Tabs on Top) and finally to remove the menu bar. When the menu bar is turned off, you will get the orange Firefox button.
Does that work?

After upgrading the firefox I now have looks almost nothing like the tutorial. What should I do to fix this? I've re-downloaded it twice now.

There is no firefox button on the top of the screen. There is also still the same menu bar at the top.

The new interface is only default on Windows Vista and Windows 7. To get it on Windows XP you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

Hi I just got a new laptop and I wanted to move all of my music to it. When I looked up ways to do this Home Sharing seemed like the easiest step therefore I updated everything and did what I was told but it seems as if my PC won't see my desktop Mac.

Is there anything that I am doing wrong? I really just want to get all of my music off my Mac before I go back to school.

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

I have updated to version 6 twice, I am using Windows XP, yet every time it states I am not updated, my browser looks like the old one? How can I get this fixed to look like the new browser version?
