Hello everyone I'm in trouble I have a a1237 2008 Macbook air and I noticed the trac pad and keyboard were being buggy so I took it apart and noticed that the tabs connecting to the logic board when they're not connected all the way everything works fine so I put it back down everything was working fineand then a day later when I shut the MacBook Air off and turned it back on I got the Apple loadingthen I got the circle crossed boot screen and now no command keys work except the option boot which brings upbut when I click on the hard drive it just goes to the circle cross screen IF ANYONE CAN HELP please I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY I NEW ONE I might be able to by I logic board of eBay but not sure if that's it.
Would the hard drive show up if it was bar?
Would anything work if the logic board was bad?
Could this be a cable?
Or maybe because the keyboard and track only work when half on means that sometimes wrong with the logic board?

Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 and Premiere Elements 13 are standalone products.
So, you can have both on the same computer, but only open one for your work.
The classical recommendation is to finish a project in the version in which it was created since there
is no guarantee that a project from an earlier version will open in the later version. Probably will, but
no guarantees. And, when you do explore this, do it from a copy of the earlier version project. Once you
take the earlier version project into a later version one, you cannot go back to edit the later version edited
project in the earlier version program.
If you have both versions (9 and 13) on the same computer and you have not moved, deleted, renamed any of the version 9's files/folders,
right click the saved closed Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 project file, select Open With, and then Adobe Premiere Elements 13.
(Your 9.0/9.0.1 saved closed project file should be found in Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/9.0.)

Is this the most expensive "Mickey Mouse" phone ever?

I have recently got my iPhone 3GS and it’s and impressive device. The market leading MP3 player and the best mobile browsing device ever - with an innovative and intuitive user interface that is way ahead of its competitors.
As a PDA its OK – but lacks the functionality and integration of Windows mobile devices. Doubtless the apps will come to resolve that and at the moment – there are work arounds.
As a phone though – the last phone I had so basic and functionless was 9 years ago. Apple’s heritage shows in this device – reliable quality computing and audio. A lack of phone experience.

There are no profiles and no way to create profiles. When I go into a meeting I don’t want to have to take my phone from its case and hit the silent button and put it back – and I don’t want to do the reverse when the meeting’s over. The same when I get in and out of the car – I want Bluetooth switched on and voice dialling on one profile.
There is no means to create a shortcut. So to get in the car I have to go to settings, general, Bluetooth and switch it on – the same when I get out.
There are no user groups in the address book –which can share a ringtone for example.
There is no way of filtering calls e.g. when in a meeting – only accept calls from users in the VIP group, or from 'Tom' etc.
I’d like Apple to resolve these issues in a future OS update. What else should they address?

Your post just strengthens the idea that everyone uses their phone differently.
I have a belt case for my phone, and the silent switch and power button are accessible without taking the phone out. So when in a meeting, I can quite my phone without having to remove it from the case.
Other then a shortcut for BT or Wifi, the rest of your needs don't coincide with mine or anyone I know.
Something I would like to see is scheduling of email/sync - Turn it off from 11pm to 6am. Same for Fetch email.
I do agree things are missing, but my needs are different then yours.

Droid Bionic the most expensive Brick I've ever purchased

I just want to know when in November this update is going to happen.
This is almost worse than the gingerbread nightmare. I had a Droid2 which worked up until the Gingerbread update, then I purchase a "not-ready-for-primetime" Droid Bionic.
It took 6 months for my Xoom to become 4G, this when they said it would only be 90 days.
How long will I have to wait for my Bionic to do anything.
It's so bad that the fix to turn on airplane mode doesn't work now and half the time the phone doesn't even recognize it IS in airplane mode.
This has been this biggest Mongolian cluster ******** of a phone launch. God help those who upgrade to the RAZR with a battery that can't be removed.
I called to complain and received a refund on one month's data, but really why should I have to call on a phone that should work out of the box.
I love the phone I just want it to do what it's supposed to..
So again I ask, When can we expect the update VERIZON???
I'm just tired of the blame game, Verizon blames MOTO and then we find out some of the issues are because VERIZON wanted specific "proprietary mods" to the system...

It's not going to be in the beginning like they said. It has been pushed back toward the end of November now, probably just to get pushed back again. With the Razr out (which is what Verizon is focusing on), do you think we will get the update quickly? No. We should've had it by now. In fact, we shouldn't need an update period. I'm doing playing around with customer service and not getting a solution I'm happy with. I've emailed executive relations and am hoping for a response but I'm not sure if I will get one, I left a message for someone on Wednesday and haven't heard back. I want this phone returned, period. I've got introuble twice with work now because my phone did not recieve some important calls and I almost gave my mother a heart attack (I ALWAYS pick up for her and one night she called and called and called and my phone never rang once, few hours later I notice I had a few voicemails). Customer service isn't even sending out replacements anymore. They admitted to the Bionic plague and that every phone has the same issue.
Like you, the "airplane mode fix" doesn't even work for me. I have to pop the battery and even then it doesn't always work.
I'm almost tempted to copy and paste the email I sent because Ive had a crap shoot with this phone. What really ticked me off is the fact that I was conned into getting a "free" accessory when I could've got $50 off the phone. Who wants a battery dock with two batteries. Will keep you guys updated. Hopefully I'll finally be able to get another phone that actually has the service that I've been paying for. I will say though if I do not hear back from the last executive relations rep I emailed, I'm filing a complaint with the FCC, the attorney general, and filing a dispute on my credit card. I could not log in to this Support Community with my UPDATED Apple ID (and this is another issue I can't believe Apple just says "NO, you CAN'T!" - deleting other (old) Apple IDs we've created by mistake or a long time ago and being able to have it all on ONE SINGLE UPDATED Apple ID - ALSO saving Apple's storage servers, etc.).

But why has Apple just shut it down, since it was so EASY to use (as DropBox) on all our Apple devices?!! So, we really can't upload/store any kind of files anymore and that's it?!
I used iDisk when MobileMe was still alive, and it was great to have my files from work, home, any backup (whatever we want) uploaded and synced and used in our Macs, iPhones and iPads. If we have the OPTION of an iCloud Plan (the top one, for example), but we just don't like the automatick backups for the iPhones and iPads, nor the Pictures' sync function.. Why can't we just have the SAME simple and efficient/great service of the iDisk installed in each device?!
Do we really have to go back and downgrade back to the free iCloud Option (just for keeping the e-mail) and paying extra for DropBox, Google, Microsoft, any other services?! I have nothing against them - I actually have DropBox and it works great because it REMINDS me of iDisk!! But WHY NOT just keep it simple and closed with 1 company/platform/option - Apple's iOS, OSX, etc.
That's why I decided to have a Macbook Pro, an iPhone 4S and an iPad 3rd. Generation (for example, along with other products and services such as Apple TV).. I know I'm CHOOSING to stay with 1 world, that's fine. And that's why I didn't (yet) go for a Samsung phone or another tablet.. I wanna stick with 1 pattern and I have chosen Apple's..

That's exactly what I was afraid of...
During all the time I have been a loyal customer of Apple's products and services, these have been the only 2 issues that I really can't understand (specially when we look at Apple's strategies and management)...
1) Not being able to DELETE (simply delete or deactivate) old or duplicated Apple IDs... I have 3 different Apple IDs but only one is the real Apple ID I use for everything, with all my purchases and services (such as e-mail) related to it (Why won't Apple jus let people delet, deactivate or - at least - merge Apple IDs?! That would help everyone, including Apple when we think about costs, storage, database maintenance, etc.) - Actually, even when I gave up on trying to delete other Apple IDs, I tried to have the one I really use and have organized to use my @me.com address as the Apple ID itself (as Apple asks us to do - and makes sense, of course). But never worked. Just because I created that Apple ID with a @hotmail.com account (since it asks for a valid e-mail when you create an Apple ID, it NEVER lets me now change my Apple ID to my @me.com e-mail address - I mean JUST having my @me.com e-mail address as my primary e-mail and my Apple ID (for example, having that old @hotmail.com e-mail address out of it, cleaned..)!
2) The other issue was this one, about iDisk. Of course there must be reasons for having it shut down, maybe the apps used by iPhone and iPad, along with the folder on Mac OSX, is way too complicated, expensive, full of bugs, I don't know. But if we decide to pay for 50GB of online storage, why even THINK about different options for files we use?! I have Dropbox, I've read about Google Drive and Microsoft SkyDrive, etc. But I just wanted to STICK with a single ALL-APPLE solution.. That is.. Pay the annual fee for the 50GB and just still keep any file I want on the cloud with iDisk. So, what Apple tells me is that if I have other files than iWork or PDF (and some few exceptions), I should actually downgrade to "free" iCloud and decide to PAY for another solution (organization), such as DropBox, Google Disk or Drive (I don't really know), Micrsoft's SkyDrive..
Of course there's the strategy of getting more and more people to use Pages, Numbers and Keynote (buying them for iOS and Mac OSX, as I already have and love them). But "killing" iDisk and just telling users to look for other storage solutions doesn't really sound like Apple.
I have seen so many questions here about both issues (deleting or merging Apple IDS + iDisk back since we pay for storage) that I really believe Apple should reconsider these issues or, at least, open the issue and let us know what would be the best "partner solution" for iCloud...

Give this a try:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

I find it so frustrating that first I had to purchase iWorks for my Mac, then I had to purchase it all over again for my IOS device so I could use iCloud, then I purchase thousands of dollars of movies and am not able to store them in the cloud, yet we have only purchased the rights to the songs no differently than we have the movies. Why would they exclude movies from icloud?

They are not part of icloud in all countries, becuase the movie industry in those copuntries does not allow Apple to offer this.

The most expensive but worst service

I have been with Verizon I think for about 5 years now. At first I didn't mind paying the lil extra per month to have a good carrier. They used to have commercials with all the little men with red shirts on talking about the good service area I guess just to get enough customers because NOW u don't even see a commercial from Verizon. You would think since they are the most expensive carrier they would continue to make their service better but in the last two years their service has went from 100 to 0! I would rather have a boost or straight talk phone. My phone always drop calls now, my text messages don't send, my txt messages duplicate and sometimes send the same messages hours and days later and my phone don't pick up good in my house and last but not least you can't even multi task unless you have 4g and sometimes can't even download a pic if your phone doesn't have 4g. I WOULD NOT recommend Verizon services to my dog and I can't wait to leave this expensive no good company. I also have a metro pcs phone that I pay $40 a month (everything's unlimited) and believe it or not it picks up and works better than my Verizon phone. I SHOULD'VE STAYED WITH AT&T!!

Yes I have checked with several people with Verizon service that lives in my area and also outside my area and there all very disappointed in Verizon. True enough, sometimes it do be the phones but in this case I really think it's Verizon because I know at least 10 other people that's having the same issues, (drop calls, duplicate messages, unsent messages, etc...) I think I and the 7 people I encouraged to switch to Verizon Wireless is going to return to AT&T!! Paying well over a hundred dollars a month I shouldn't have to worry about a drop call or a text message that hasn't went through.

The most expensive AppleCare

Why is PowerBook/MBP's AppleCare the most expensive? Even more expensive than Mac Pro's ! What kind of technology justifies the high price?

In addition to what has already been posted...
Where many components on Desktop computers can be replaced piece by piece, Powerbooks and MBPs have component "assemblies" that must be replaced, and at a higher cost.
For example, the GPU and VRAM are built-in on the logic board, as is the processor. If just one of these components goes bad, the entire logic board must be replaced.
If any part of the keyboard, the keyboard backlighting, the trackpad or the trackpad button goes bad, the entire top case must be replaced.
I'm willing to bet that the entire display must be replaced if the iSight camera goes bad.
All this, plus there's the battery to consider. Overall, repair costs and vulnerability are higher with any portable than they are with any desktop computer.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
    1.    First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
    2.    Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
    3.    If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

I have a schema in oracel 9i Release 2 and I want to do a performance testing from application side. Application is developed in Java . There are many queries in java side and some stored procedures are called while running the application.
So I need to find the most expensive sqls by running the application and tracing the top sqls
If I set trace enable at database level the trace files will be generated for all the connected sessions right? I want the trace file for only one schema. If I enable trace for a session I will not be able to trap the sqls since the application runs from another session . connection pooling also is used. suggest some good approaches to capture the most expensive sqls?

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Audio Book (if present) and delete
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

Try to drag an app into folder and then drag it out.
Or reset you iPhone. Hold down Power and Home buttons until Apple logo appears. Release and wait to reboot.
