This time for Adobe Font Folio 12

Will Font Folio 12 released? New features? More Fonts? Can't wait!

What is your point?
Adobe does not announce vaporware. If and when we are ready to release a new version of Font Folio, we will announce the product, but certainly not until then.

    Hello Houcine,
The download for the Font Folio should be avaiable in your Adobe account.

  • I had gotten two copies of Adobe Font Folio, when I only wanted one. How do I return it?

Somehow, I was given two confirmation numbers for Adobe Font Folio, and was charged for both. How do I return one?

You need to contact Adobe Customer Support directly assuming you purchased directly from Adobe. Otherwise, contact the authorized Adobe reseller from whom you made the purchase.

  • Which fonts are in the Adobe 'Font Folio Select' and can be embedded in software and apps for distri

    Hi,
I need to select a few fonts for our client to choose from that can be legally embedded into their software for distribution.
    After reading this article:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/jlockman/2011/06/06/fonts-and-where-can-i-use-them/
it sounds like there is an Adobe 'Font Folio Select' that contains fonts we can use but I can't find any information about where to get hold of it.
I have spent hours hunting for fonts we can legally use and read lots of EULAs and still have no idea what fonts are available to developers!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

Thanks for reaching out to the Adobe Type Team.
While the James Lockman blog you referred to is correct that our product, Font Folio Select, contains only fonts that we control and for which we can offer the broadest rights, it is mistaken in its description of how it is offered.  Font Folio Select is actually a collection of fonts which we offer for server usage - for customers who need fonts for automated printing services, or for web based services which offer a font selection.  I'm very sorry for the misinformation.
Font licensing for applications is something for which we can provide you a direct quote.  If you would like to email me directly at the address listed below, I can get you in touch with a sales associate who can help you.  Additionally, if you provide me with a list of fonts you are interested in licensing, if there are fonts which are not ours, I can also provide you with foundry contact information so you can reach out to them directly.

These machines in themselves are usually pretty good, with the occasional aberration. Let's hope you do not have a rogue.
Looking at the problems there seem to me (as a guess) two problems: incomplete processes and memory. The two may be related. The camera problem I would dismiss as simply that -- batteries run out and the Mac is trying to complete an impossible process: expecting data, data never arrives.
The Firefox problem may be something external: a badly coded page; something the browser (or Mac) was not equipped to handle (a plug-in for example) and this could put a strain on RAM.
Maya, I am not familiar with, but it is (if I remember rightly) graphics-oriented and that can be memory intensive).
Which all comes down to the RAM you bought. Without knowing what it is or where it came from, or your experience in installing it, that in itself could be a problem. You need to make sure that it is properly seated for one thing, that it is the correct type (although the information here suggests that you are on the right track) and that it is OK.
You might also want to think about posting a crash log here (find these in Console) as someone -- not me -- might be able to pinpoint a cause.

  • Adobe Font Folio 11 for Mobile Devices

    Hi,
I wonder if it is allowed to embed any font from Adobe Font Folio 11 family to use in a paid mobile application. If not, could anyone please give me a suggestion on the best font solution for a multi-language mobile application?
    Thanks in advance,
    Genc

I don't believe you have the right to embed a font into a device or its application for your use. Into a pdf used on the device no problem. Raster the images of letters also no problem.

  • Lion, Font Book & Adobe Font Folio

    Howdy All,
I have a brand new Mac mini with Lion installed (of course) and I'm having a bear of a time loading the Adobe Font Folio. In general, I'm having a really hard time with Font Book on other Lion, late vintage, machines. I've tried every counter measure in my bag of tricks: boot in safe mode, Onyx cleaning, new user accounts, deleting plists, etc. At first I ignored the Font Book warnings, then I've heeded every one and not loaded the fonts. On my latest attempt, with a new user account account I have 444 fonts loaded, with the vast majority turned off, but Font Book hangs. I suppose I can always flatten the machine and start from scratch, but I'm just wondering if someone has an insight into the Lion/Font Book situation that I don't have. For the record, I have about 600 fonts running on about 30 Snow Leopard machines without any drama.
    Thanks in advance for ideas.

    Same here. My thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/15995212#15995212
I've had no replies. Have you looked at Activity Monitor while this is happening? check it out. I think i'm just going to go back to Leopard, don't know what else to do. Do you have an SSD in there?

  • Adobe Font Folio - no single user version?

As my business has grown, I had decided it was time to purchase a full Adobe
font library. I just looked at Adobe.com and see that their Adobe Font Folio
only comes in 5,10 or 20 user versions. As I am a one-person office, any of
those is overkill (and over priced). Is there truly no single user version
available? I would even consider an older version than the present (11) if
it is OT (I am unfamiliar with when Adobe switched over to all OT in font
    folio).
    Any ideas?

Your comment about Adobe going out of their way to hide the licensing agreement is blatantly untrue and inflammatory. Unlike many other software companies, Adobe makes it EULAs (End User License Agreements)
    freely and
readily available for end-user download and/or inspection
at any time via its web site. At the bottom of the home page
    is a link to
Product license agreements bringing you to
. On that page you will find every Adobe product listed including all the
Type products, each with a pointer to web pages with the respective EULAs.
In terms of the number of users permitted to use a particular license and restrictions (such as not sharing one license amongst a group of five independent designers, for example), this is spelled out specifically fairly early in the EULA for Type products.
Adobe hides no aspects of its EULAs and does not claim rights to change those EULAs after you agree to them.

  • Adobe Font Folio 7.0 or just 7?

Sorry, I know this probably is not the most appropriate place to ask this question. I am looking for information related to adobe font folio 7 released March 13, 1995 but I can not find much. I would like to know if, like previous versions, it was called 7.0 or just 7. Thank you very muchS

That's incredible, there is not even a picture on the internet that shows the original packaging!

  • Adobe font folio 10

    Hi Everyone,
Anyone have list of Adobe font folio 10 fonts?
I have searched all over but not found.
It would be great if anyone give me the list of Font folio 10.
    Thanks,
    Shonky

    Thanks, Thomas.
All involved are on Macs. We are contracted to edit and then PDF the
InDesign files--we're a design and production house, rather than a
printer--so unfortunately we can't just get PDFs from them.
We are going to try running all PDFs on their end, and see if the
problem runs both ways--that is, see if they have similar problems
PDFing files with the newer font, as we have had PDFing files with
    the older font.
I will let you know how it goes. It's still quite a mystery. I'm
asking them to double-check that they aren't accidentally running Type
1 instead of OTF on their end.
    Thanks again,
    David

  • Crucial time for Adobe and PrP

With the release of Avid 6, the next few months are a crucial time for Adobe to implement some damage control to deal with the recurring issues that the general population are experiencing. (for details just read this and Adobe forum list for the last 4 weeks.)
I am beginning to hear die hard switchers seriously considering now switching to Avid. Many of these are facility based, but lots of individuals as well. Reliable playback, monitoring, tape based ingest are just a few of the issues that converts are growing increasingly weary off.
I mean no disrespect to Adobe, but if some steps arent taken to somehow address these issues, I really see the professional community passing PrP by and going to Avid. Adobe , you had a great opportunity to broaden your scope and user base. This opportunity wont happen again.

putting things in perspective for market share and global economy....
how to survive as a 'company' making software for everyone....
This friend of mine sent a photo of his doggy... who just died...old age... was a member of their " family" for a while... and they love that dog.
the dog loved them.. ( they will miss him ).
So I got the photo .. and mssg that dog had died.. and felt sorta sad for them.
    this is photo
It looked a little " blue-ish " to me.. so I put it into photoshop and did some selective color stuff...tried to fix it a little bit... and then I said to myself... " why not send this back to them ... with a part of my heartfelt sorrow and understanding for their grief.. and sorta a tribute to " Jetta" the dog ??
This took me literally 10 minutes to do... and this is the product

This is what adobe premiere pro is " worth " to me.  To others, making movies and tv commercials it demands more from the program to do what THEY want.. but for ME... what you see here is fine with me.
How's THAT for market share and selling globally ???  Think about it...
ps.. this was  yesterday.. really.. took such a short amount of time to be " creative" and send this back... and it says something about us as a culture of " immediate " gratification etc.. whats wrong with that?  If I do a movie... thats another world... is adobe supposed to do it all ??? I dont think so.

  • Adobe Font Folio 11 compatibility with Windows 7

    Hi,
I have Adobe Font Folio 11. Could you please provide me information whether it is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7?

    Unnamed,
Font Folio 11 is packed with OpenType fonts, which are standard for a few years now. I have never (OK, not yet) heard of anyone having problems with fonts in Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit). Fonts are not executable binaries like other applications. BTW, you use the same Font Folio for Mac OS or Windows.
