This worthless program

I had to go to CS3 to work on Nikon D3 files. For about 2000 files, due to the slowness and constant problems, closures, it took weeks to add the metadata info, keywords adjust settings in ACR etc, and then file the images (of birds)into species folders.
With previously worked material, I had problems with all tiff thumbnails and previews appearing overexposed. Repeatedly many files would show the wrong subject from other folders in both thumbs and previews. The correctness would change with the size of the image.
So I finally am ready to start editing the D3 images in the species folders. I started with the Canvasback duck. Now I find that all the indexing or whatever goes on when the icon at the lower left is spinning and a percentage shows, has to start all over again. First it took 10 minutes in this folder of about 450 images for thumbnails to apparently finish appearing. Label colors applied in CS2 are now white, so I have to apply new ones, such as red for males, blue for females, and others stuff.
While doing so, and with the no lable filter applied, a large gap appeared with no icons nor thumbs. Also as I got further down, I saw that still all the thumbs hadn't appeared. Then after I finally finished labelling what I wanted, I got a "Bridge Must close" when I reopened the folder had no icons and no thumbnails. After a while if I scroll up and down I see a thumb scattered here and there at wide intervals. The % at the the lower left now shows 40%. This is an 75 minutes after starting to try to edit.
I contrast, a program called Breezebrowser jumps immediately from one full page size image to another, but unfortunately does no yet support conversion for the D3. And the magnifier also works instantly, unlike CS3 Bridge where it keeps belately jumping past the point where it should stop.
Does any program that has similar sorting and filtering capabilites of bridge that supports the D3. I can't stand this. I want a refund as I can't do anything. I think all the gypped people should start a class-action lawsuit.

Regarding my many problems with the program, greatly increasing the camera raw cache from 1 gig to 10, (and then 30 as I had plenty of HD space available) made a huge difference and I was finally able to get much work done with the program.
This was with the advice of an Adobe tech. It amazes me that with so many other tech calls and forum posts no one offered these simple suggestions.

    I tried to update to newest version via pc. I got error because i didn't have this recovery program disc that was supposed to come with the purchase so it says, but it didn't and now my ipod touch 8gb won't connect with itunes anymore and is stuck on a screen displaying an itunes icon with a usb icon.

    oke i'm not done with the whole thing, but i'm doing that right now. Most of the advice I've already read didn't work and at a certain point it said something about shutting down programs then restart. but i notice that there are some pretty important system things in that list and i don't want to mess up my pc :s i'm not a pc genius... and because i'm dutch and my pc-language is in dutch I often have trouble translating and well... i don't always understand the technical stuff in all the articles -_-

    Yes, you need the latest version of Flash to work with Mavericks and Safari 7.x. I'm not sure why you can't view some of the videos on YouTube but not all and I don't know which, YouTube or Safari, is suggesting a 10.xxxx version.
    Can you copy and paste the specific URL of a video that you're having problems viewing? Then I could take a look on my end and see if I notice anything funny.

  • Could not setup user ABC's credentials for this AE program

    Hi Guys,
    I was trying to run AE SCRTY_OPRCLS and got the below error.
    "Could not setup user ABC's credentials for this AE program. Perhaps
    this AE request is running outside the user's allowed signon times"
    I run the AE again without any error so I think it should be allowed signon times issue. That is set up for Permission list, I think, which is from 0:00 to 23:59. Does anyone know if there is a configuration step about this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bob

    Hi all,
    I ran into the same problem today and came accross this on the support site: disabling the PSAESERV: E-AE: How to Disable PSAESRV in a Process Scheduler Domain [ID 659343.1]. This helps and does not seem to hinder running any application engine processes. Good luck.

    In my dock there was this weird program called "tutorial". While throwing away this program I had to fill in my password. Afterwards I tried to change my password, but my old password doesn't work anymore. Who can help?

    What was this program for, or did you just assume it's something you shouldn't have and therefore arbitrarily decide to "throw it away"? Exactly how did you supposedly throw it away?
    If you didn't change your administrator password, there's no reason it shouldn't work now, so that suggests you did something else, or changed it and then forgot what it was.
    You can't recover that password; you can only change it. To do that, you would need to boot from your Snow Leopard DVD, choose your language, then choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu in the top menu bar.

    Also, although possibly not related to your problem, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. You can get it for free, as always, at [http://www.getfirefox.com getfirefox.com].

  • Plz need help with this hashmap program

    as far as i know, this hashmap program works, but i cant get it to compile correctly because of one line error:
    phoneArray[2] = int f;
    the second position in phoneArray is and will always be a number, but the array is a String array, making it difficult for me to take the number in that position and change it.
    In actuality, the number is a score (a grade) and i need to take it to change it to a letter grade, where it will later be spit out in order from Name, Year, Score, Grade.
    plz help, this is a school assignment and its driving me mad.

  • How would I set this small program to activate every 120 seconds?

    I have this small program that writes the value 0 to a file, but I want it to only activate every 120 seconds, so it doesn't take up a bunch of system resources by constantly running. Can I make it pause for 120 seconds, or set a timer for it, in such a way that it won't make my PC run slow? Here's my code. Thanks if you can help.
    import java.util.*;
    import java.io.*;

         public Purge () {
              writePrimDoubles();
         public static void main (String [] args) {
              Purge test = new Purge();
         public void writePrimDoubles() {
              DataOutputStream outStream;
              long timerStart;
              long timerEnd;
              long size;
              int a = 1;
              try     {
                   while (a==1) {
                        outStream = new DataOutputStream
                             (new FileOutputStream("packetlog.txt"));
                        timerStart = System.currentTimeMillis();
                        outStream.writeBytes("0");
                        timerEnd = System.currentTimeMillis();
                        outStream.close();
              catch(IOException e) {
                   System.out.println("Error writing to file");
    }

    java.util.Timer, I think may do the trick.
