Three redundancy notices in three months
It feels like every month we get a redundancy notice in our office.
Not sure if team morale will be able to hold out.
Makes it difficult for us team leaders to try to motivate.

I'm having trouble with my macbook pro, I have only had it for three months, when I plugged a camera sd card into the sd slot it isn't appearing anywhere on the computer and i can not access my photographs. can somebody please help me?

Hi Shootist. I would be interested in hearing some reasoning on this. I almost always use a USB cable to connect my camera to the MBP for transferring pictures, and have moved about 30,000 this way over the last 6 years since my photography went digital. Recently, on the rare occassions when I have only a few to transfer and I was too lazy to go for the cable, I have used the card reader; about half those times I have difficulty getting the MBP to recognise the card. I find I have to press the card very hard into the slot for it to be recognised.
My rationale is quite possibly wrong, but I feel that the USB connectors are more robust and hard-wearing than the flimsy connectors on an SD card. Also, I haven't measured it, but I think the data transfer is faster with the cable. (I just came across this test, which reports noticeably faster transfer for cable than built-in card reader, but the computer was a PC)

If you change the apple id on one device, is the id locked to that device for three months?
I bought two ipod touches for my children last week (all kids under 10 if it makes a difference). Child #3 already has one. When I bought them, I was told that I can download movies on each for an upcoming long distance trip. If child 1 wants to watch something downloaded on child 2's ipod, they can sign in under child 2's account and watch it on their own ipod BUT it won't be saved to that device.
However, I went in today to get them set up. I asked about this, and music and other things. I was told that if you sign in on one device under a different apple id, that device is locked to that apple id for three months. Its apparently an effort to stop pirating. I was told its the same for music. If I buy a song on my account that my 5 year old wants, I have to buy it twice because if my son signs onto his ipod under my apple id, the ipod is then under my account for the next 3 months, along with all my games, music etc. and his apps are no longer accessible to him.
Is this acccurate? Honestly, I"m afraid to try. I don't want my kids to be stuck with my apple id, which has no apps or antyhing attached to it other than some music.
BTW I had to set up their own itunes account despite that they're too young to have one because we're maxed at 5 devices (2 iphones, ipad and our own ipods). We couldn't add any others so I created a itunes account for my two youngest to share and a separate account for my 10 year old so that he could have his own facetime.
Can anyone help? Can I sign onto my kids ipod with my id without having them locked out of their apps? Can the two of them share a movie?Not exactly but it is locked for the purpose of redownning past purchases. See:

Hello, My iCal don't synchronize older events than two or three month ago. How can I do to synchronize all my schedule? In iTunes it's all right in Calendars. I don't put a cross in "synchronize event older than ....... days". Thanks for answer.

consider GameBrix.com, where you can create Flash based, casual
games using your web browser. No downloads are required. You can
create a game from scratch using a library of images, sounds and
game mechanics. You can also upload your own. The online script
editor will allow you to view and edit the ActionScripts associated
with each game mechanic. In short, a great way to ramp up on game
design and build your own game without investing a lot of $
upfront.

I was creating a new iCal appointment on my iPhone. I suddenly lost three months of appointment data. It was if I'd instructed the machine to hide the stuff, but I can't figure out how to unhide it (if that was the problem).
Any thoughts. This is killing me.

I'm not sure how many USB controllers the G5 has, but assuming it's one and all the USB ports share the same controller, plugging in the monitor's USB cord seems to be stopping the controller (and hence all the ports) from working.
If you plug the mouse into the same USB port that you normally plug the monitor into, does it still work? If so, the problem would seem to be with the monitor USB cord or the USB hub in the monitor. If not, the problem would seem to be with the USB port itself. The fact it sometimes works if the connector is tilted seems to suggest a physical problem with that particular USB port or the USB connector on the monitor cord. Perhaps someone's caught their foot in the cable at some point and yanked or twisted the connector. -
My Calendar synced to the cloud and now all but three months are gone! How do I get the rest back?
I upgraded to the new iso and all was fine last night. Over night, I guess my phone must have been backed up to the cloud and when I got up this morning, everything but three months was missing!
I did a manual sync before I updated to my computer will it still be there? How would I recover it?

I have purchased an IMac three months ago. A few days ago when I tried to view photo images on CD an error message said I do not have permission to view the files. Have not been able to view any photo images or text files on CDs since: Again says do not have permission to view.
Mount one of the CD/Right Click:Get Info/Sharing & Permissions. If the the CD is a CD-R, they should look something like this:

I live in the US but am in Paris for three months. I can't access itunes. I tried reinstalling but got this error: Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." I followed the Apple troubleshooting advice--delete temp files, uninstall itunes, shut down computer, restart, reinstall. I, too am having the same issues as above like the many others. For days i have been trying to uninstall reinstall as per troubleshooting but to no avail.Apple, you need to fix this!

Project deleted in iPhoto 11 ver. 9.1.1
After spending three months building a twenty six page Book Project in iPhoto i added a page and later decided to delete the page. I selected the page, pressed the delete key and confirmed the delete dialog box ( i didn't read, dummy) by pressing the delete button. The whole project was gone, the undo menu was grayed out and there was nothing in the iPhoto trash about my Book.
Surly I can find this if I knew the path to find the project in a library on a back column I have of my hard drive.. Could anyone help me?Sorry I'm having a hard time getting this.
If I go to my hard drive BIGMAC>Library>Application Support>iPhoto>the only thing in this folder is Themes.
However, when I "Get Info" it's 580MB for 24,421 items. iPhoto says I have 35,977 photos. I would think the database would be into the GB for this many photos.
If I go to BIGMAC>system>Library>I find nothing about iPhoto
Is the iPhoto file in the Application Support the one I need to replace with my backup?

Billed for transfer to new address but three month...
After three months and continuous calls to BT they have just sent an engineer who agrees there is no connection nor is one possible with the current cabling situation. BUT bt took £130 from my account and the first quarters rental. Now I have to try and get repaid.

Hello, I have Acrobat XI Pro for which I pay by monthly subscription. Each month, for the past three months or so, at renewal time, I receive a note stating that my trial period has expired and I cannot open my Acrobat Files. I have telephoned three or four times each time this happens and have been told that the matter has been resolved - it has not! At one time I had paid inadvertently for three account for Acrobat XI Pro running at the same time - I only need 1. I'm afraid that I may have just opened a second account by mistake in order to open my files. I repeat, I only require one account. Would you please advise and assure me that this matter has finally been resolved and that I will no longer receive these notifications each month..
I don't work for Adobe but it seems to me you might be signing in to Acrobat with the wrong Adobe ID.
Check the Adobe ID you use in Acrobat.
Check this Adobe ID on Adobe's to make sure that it has an active subscription. -
I just restored my iphone4 in iTunes ( after not syncing it for about three months) and it wiped all my texts and contacts and I think restored it to three months ago. It seems it erased all texts and recent contacts since three months. Any way of undoing this? thanks in advance, Greg
Only if you have a more recent backup with which to restore from - if you've only got the one from 3 months ago then you will be limited to what was on that.

Firstly restart router and AppleTv after unpowering to see if that helps - may or may not but quick and easy to try.
Connection via ethernet or wifi? If wifi are there any new devices in the house which may be causing interference or new neighbouring networks? If feasible try to eliminate wifi issues by using an ethernet connection.
