Thumbnail buttons for photo album

Hi,
I am creating around 15 thumbnail images that has an "over"
effect that enlarges the image. Problem is that the enlarged image
ends up below some of the thumbnails and not above... The 16
thumbnails are divided in 4 rows and the enlarge image ends up
ontop of the 16 thumbnails. The "hit" area is as small as the
thumbnail so it works really well except for this that I don't find
a solution to. Anyone?

Where is the "repeat" button for songs/albums/playlists? It used to be next to the random play button.

You can access the repeat options if you right-click on the shuffle icon, or if menus are enabled you can use
Controls > Repeat > Off | All | One.
Once the control is visible you can click it to switch between states as before. If the control is turned to off it disappears on the next track change. In contrast the shuffle control remains visible whenever it is appropriate. Hopefully the next release will fix this.

More detail please? Are you talking about photos synced to the Photos app in the iPad, or photos taken by the iPad camera, emailed to it or added by a camera kit? Have you checked the User Guide for this - availble through the IPad Manuals link at the very start of this forum?

Create Template for Photo Album Pages

I'm starting a project that involves creating a Web photo
album. However, there are special formatting rules I need to
institute for the individual pages I create in the photo album. Is
it possible to create a template for these pages (the pages you go
to when you click on the thumbnail on the contact sheet) rather
than going in and applying css files and other items after they've
been created?
Any help is much appreciated.

Create new buttons for photos

I'm wondering how I can create a button to link to photo page instead of multiple photo pages on the top nav. bar. I just want all albums on welcome page to link to photo page..How can I do that?

If you are on iOS 5 and it's an IMAP based email account then you should get an Edit button at the top of the list of your current folders on your email account - if you aren't on iOS 5 or if the account is POP based then you won't get the Edit button.
Similarly for photos, if you are on iOS 5 then you should get an Edit button at the top right of the Album selection screen in the Photos app which allows you to create new albums and copy (not move) photos into - and if you delete the original photo then if will also be removed from all albums that you've 'copied' it into.
If the iPod Touch is also on iOS 5 then I think that you will get the same options (though I'm not 100% sure)

IPad not displaying more than 44 thumbnails in Facebook photo albums

Hi All
Whenever I try and view a photo album in Facebook on the iPad it only shows me the 1st 44 thumbnails then after that I just get grey boxes. I can view the photo's if I click on the grey boxes but it is very annoying. It does this whether I use Safari, Graze or any of the 3rd party Facebook apps.
I have just updated to 3.22 and the problem is the same. Any advice welcome.

Other people have experienced similar occurrences. Deleting Safari's cache and history (in settings) may help but the real problems seems to be because of the iPad's limited (256MB) of memory)

How to create hyperlink for photo album to one of my pages?

iWeb does'nt support hyperlinking the album image in the gird. You could put a text base hyperlink in the page above or next to the album photo (outside of the album grid) that links to the page in question.

Hi Basu,
Try accessing the image thru Webdav URL.
e.g: If you have uploaded xyz.jpg image file under document folder then the webdav url will be,
http://<Portal URL>/irj/go/km/docs/documents/xyz.jpg
If you are able to access it and if Image is loading properly then add below path to your KM iView,
iView Property - Path to Document: /documents/xyz.jpg

In IOS7.1.2 how can I change the size of type for Photo Album?

I want to change the size of the type of a name of a Photo Album to match the size of earlier albums. How can I do this?

I am not sure, if this Will work on the title page:
Edit text on a page
Tap Projects, and tap the photo book to open it.
Double-tap the page containing the text you want to work with.
Do the following:
Align the text: Tap the text box, and choose an alignment style from the menu that appears directly above the text box.
Choose the font size: Tap the text box, and tap the font size you want.
Make changes to the text: Double-tap the text box, and type.
You may need to change the Book Theme to have a different title font size.

How can you change the thumbnail selected for an Album in Photos?

I'm having difficulty changing the photo that is automatically selected as the thumbnail on an iPad Air and iPad Mini. How can I change this, and what parameter governs which photo is selected?
There are a number of threads about changing the name, the creation date, the modified date, and none of those have worked for me. After changing these various parameters, I have unsynced and resynced photos, and at this point, it is becoming an obsession of mine to change this. :-)
I would appreciate any input if you've been able to do this in iOS7 and Maverics. Thanks in advance!

Okay, now it is working. I had to save the XLSX-file into the older XLS format, but that seems to work quite well.
But I won't ever understand why InDesign loses its backward compatibility from one version to the other.

Best workflow for Photo Album site - Aperture-iPhoto-iWeb??

I am trying to find the best way to get Pics online. I shoot RAW and post-process in Aperture. Have used:
Aperture web gallery - easy workflow, very poor user interface, good image resolution
iphoto - extra work to get from Aperture library, nice design but very very slow loading of pics!!, not happy with image resolution
iweb - nice interface, fast, but not happy with image resolution.
My goal is a nice user interface for viewing pics in albums, fast, but with GOOD image quality. Is there a way to adjust image resolution in iWEB? Seems like the default is Preview image quality, despite using full resolution JPEG exported from Aperture. It is somewhat disappointing to work so hard in Aperture on adjustments, but then view low res images on website.
Any Suggestions?

When you say "low res images on website" do you mean those created by Aperture? It is possible to duplicate one of the default web gallery formats in Aperture, and then modify it so that the photos output are larger e.g. 950pixels wide instead of 800. I've done that with the Stock Black format - I now have a Stock Black Large which is similar on the thumbnails screen, but much larger when people click through to the larger image.
I think to do it you have to find the folder containing the web presets and make a copy of one of them.
Its fiddly but possible to do. Hopefully they'll improve this in a future release

TS3989 'Options' button for Photo Stream doesn't work?

When I go to Photo Stream, it says I'm not signed in. The resolution says to select Photo Stream and click Options, but nothing happens when I do so. Why won't the Options button work and what can I do?

I followed your advise, but it doesn't work. Photos made with iPad works now (after putting all photo stream on and off), but iPhone 4 is not photostreaming at all (also not after redoing what you advised), also iPad photo does not appear on iPhone 4.
Strange is that i see two icloud photostream albums in Photo application (both (staying) empty). I can imagine there is a conflict with the two icloud accounts (i first used apple id for buying in itunes (hoped to merge) and than rethought and activated icloud (mobileMe) account instead. Could that be the problem? And how to get rid of that (restarting iPhone didn't work, a reset I am not fond of, nore a restore.
Who knows the answer?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it.
