Thumbnail in browser doesnot match the pic in the view for many of my photo
I have noticed today after having loaded my library and several project with photo's 2500 or so that several thumbnails when high lighted actual bring up a differnet image. ( i.e. the thumbnail image does not match the image in the work screen area.) what is happening? i take it is a file name problem but i cannot get the correct thumbnail to match work area and the thumbnail in browser will not appear in work area to work on.
I have had the same problem with A 1.5.3 and OS X 10.4.9 - the problem started when I moved some pictures from one project to another, then it suddenly switched thumbs on a series of pictures. They simply showed each others thumbs while the image was the opposite. I "fixed" it by making adjustments to each image and then undo. Then the thumbs were updated correctly. This has to be a bug in Aperture.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -
In trying to edit my pics only the slide show pics is editing - not the main pic. Trying to crop the pic and the whole main screen goes grey
Please check your Firefox Installation's version. (can be found by clicking the main menu, either clicking or hovering over the help button, and then clicking about firefox in the sub menu). depending on how long ago you set up sync you may still be using the older sync version. firefox 29 introduced a new (and might i add far less tedious) sync version. see [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync|this Mozilla support article]] for information on upgrading your sync to the new version.

I would like to transfer photos to my sd card to bring them to Costco for printing, but I am not Able to transfer the pics to the card. Any help?
Easiest way is to transfer the photos to your computer. Then copy them to your ad card. You should be backing up all your photos on your computer anyway. Having them only on your iPad is asking for trouble should something happen to your iPad.

I downloaded pics from my camera to iphoto on my macbook pro and forgot to click 'import all. Then i closed iphoto and deleted the pics from the camera. i know I'm screwed, but i'll give this a try, is there any way to retireve these pics?
Use an app like MediaRecover to get the pics back from the card.

Why does iPhoto not recognize the .jpg pics from a Kodak C875 now? I can stick my memory card in the iMac and import them that way, but iPhoto will not import the pics from the camera.
There have been many issues reported with Kodak cameras - serach the forums for them
Actually the best practise is to use a card reader to import your photos, verify that they are imported ocrrectly and wait at least one backup cycle and then use the camera's format command to reformat the card and erase it - this assures no lost photos and always having the card properly formatted

iPad 3 is having difficulties with changing the backgound, sometimes it won't change it's won't zoom out or in,or move the pic to the left or right , also get the whole picture,
It's a glitch, no idea when or if Apple will fix it.
One work around is to go to the photos app and 'send' your photo to be wall paper. It gives you a bit more control, even if it doesn't give you all that you used to have. -
What happened to the size of photos when streamed they use to fill the whole tablet now you can,t see them and that,s. What I paid $600 for also the pictures are horrible there is no retina change where as before after a few seconds the pics would just be clear and very nice now they look fake I paid for retina display 3 months ago and what I paid for you guys changed after a few months you took them off your or our screen and I,ll bet 10 to 1 they,ll appear on the newer models for a few months until people buy them then you take off and do the same thing again that is fraud and I see a law suit coming on I want what I paid for. You don,t sell a guy a colored television and months later all you can receive on the set is black and white again FRAUD
The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ... -
IPhoto 6 not showing the pics on the camera
ok. I've had a digital elph (cannon) for a little while. in iPhoto 5 i was always able to see the pics that were on the camera and pick which ones to upload. why am I not able to do this since "upgrading" to iPhoto 6?
is there something i'm not doing... or is this a function that was lost in translation?
pb & 1.67 grams of J on toast Mac OS X (10.4.5)iPhoto 5 never had the feature you mention. Image Capture allows you to view photos before you download them.

On my iphone 4s, when I try to take a pic it flashes the pic for a second, but then the pic doesn't ever show up. It is assigned a number like a pic is there, but it is just a blank white space. When I try to share the pic, it shares the post with blank white in place of the pic.

How to insert the pic on the table
i declare the variable in the table for pic varchar2(25) but in the form i seleceted the type as OLE now i going to insert the pic the things is when i am going to insert the pic i am getting the error message like that Unable to Insert the record
can u solve the problem, Plzuse the data type LONG RAW, blob was giving me problem, calling the data block wizard will create an image item, u dont have to use OLE, then use read_image_file and save the path in a nondatabase item and then attach the file make sure u set and select the right file type.
u can also use the zoom factor.

My pic display is only showing 2/3 the pic and, after viewing the pic from my PC
My display is only showing about 2/3 the pic and when I upload the memory card to my PC that is what actually is being taken by the camera.
When anything happens you don't know how, reset the camera back to factory defaults. Try again. If the condition remains try the next simplest step. A new SD card and/or reader. A new USB cable or slot in the computer. A new battery. You know the easiest and cheapest.

after update to the latest version, the tinny pic in front the bookmarks disappeared. I think it is called the identity info...
when I go to the website, they will appear on the tap, but when I go through my bookmarks, they are not there, usually they are remembered after the first visit.

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.

I recently upgrade my old G5 to a new iMac. I bought this as a refurb however so it came half set up. I did the usual swap of data files, but now many photo's say they do not have the original master so i can do nothing with them. How can i transfer the old Masters from my old machine to the new one?
I must admit i find the whole aperture filing system very difficult to get my head around.
I simply want to make files and store photo's in them! Any help on the masters would be appreciatedHallo,
what is your current MacOS on your new machine? MacOS 10.7.3? And your Apeture version 3.2.3?
How did you import your images into Aperture on your G5? Did you store them in the Aperture Library as managed masters or as referenced masters outside the Aperture Library?
If they are referenced, then you need to locate the folder with the master image files on your old mac and to tranfer them to your new mac, and then to reconnect masters and versions.
If they are managed, then probably some permissions got corrupted, when you transfererd the library and you should use the Aperture Library First Aid Tools to repair the permissions and to repair the library. See this on how to repair permissions and library:

If you do not remember, if your library is referenced or managed, open Aperture on your old Mac and select one of the images in the browser. If the Badge-Overlays show arrows in the lower right corner, then the imaster image files are referenced, also if on Ctrl-clicking the image you see the option "SHow in Finder" in the pop-up menu. Select this option, and it will open a Finder window with the folder containing your master images. Transfer these images to your new mac.
To reconnect the version to the masters on your new mac:
open Aperture, then select the images that need reconnecting in the browser,
then select "File -> Locate referenced files" from the Aperture menu.
In the window that pops up select an image to reconnect in the upper part of the window and select the corresponding master image file in the lower part of the window. If both images do match, the reconenct button will become available. Click "reconnect all".
