Thumbnail instead of Adobe icon

how can I display thumbnail instead of Adobe icon on a pdf file in Windows7 using 64bit

I was using win 7 - 32 bit and the pdf files used to get displayed with first page of pdf in thumbnail, but now ever since i have downloaded win 7 home 64 bit i am not able to see the same.Also , i downloaded the ADE 2.0 which is not similar in looks to the previous one (brown background)and is less user friendly.

I don't think Save for Web embeds any icons or thumbnails, because the whole point of Save for Web is to keep the file size down as much as possible for Web use by not including anything except the image and some text metadata that you choose. If you're seeing a thumbnail or icon, it was probably generated by your operating system and may only be local to your desktop.
If you do want to embed a thumbnail or icon into a JPEG file, you might get one by choosing File > Save As instead. The Save As command is intended to give you the most complete file possible, where Save for Web is designed to give you the smallest file possible.

Missed adobe icon - Icona Adobe scomparsa

thanks fo answering me. I saw this: This is a Adobe Reader file opened. As you can see near the Chrome icon there should be the Adobe icon, but i have a blank file icon.

It is probably related to the fact that you are setting the tables row height in the renderer this will fire a render message when the height changes. One height is applied to all rows of a table. This means that is you have images of different heights you are continually changing the tables row height and therefore continually rendereing.
My approach would be to have all the images fit into a set size ( say 64*64 ( with scaling if neccesary ) you could then have a popup show the full size image if required.

How do I fix this problem ? When I turned on my laptop yesterday all my PDF files on my desktop have changed from the thumbnail view (which I need) to the adobe icon ? I don't know why it changed ? But I'm having major problems trying to change it back....!!! Can anyone help me please ??

HELP! Files won't open and previously had Firefox icon instead of DW icons! Leap Year thing?

Hi! I went to update my website, which I do every night before the first day of every month and all the files had a FIrefox icon instead of the usual Dreamweaver one. I have shut down, reinstalled DW MX 2004 but the files still do not open. The icons have now changed to DW but they are not opening with right click, opening from Applications folder, double clicking the file, from get info and open with DW. I am stumped. HELP! Need to update for March 1st.
Is it something to do with Leap Year 29th Feb? Checked the clock in preferences but can't see how this affects it.
Firefox is always updated but the latest version does not seem to be as efficient as previous upgrades. We installed Chrome as well. Do they interfere with each other?

We recently started using Chrome, so now have 3 browsers in the dock,

I am not late with updating the site, which is about New Zealand culture,
month by month (www.englishteacher.co.nz). Probably only the third time I
have been late since 2005. Not a huge amount of traffic, ~300 a month and
free access to content but I would like to solve this problem.

Changing Preview to default PDF viewer instead of Adobe

sorry but i couldn't find a forum for preview. I just need to know how to change Preview to my default viewer for all PDF's instead of adobe.

Find a closed pdf. Click once on the icon and press command+ i for the get info window. In that window change Open with to Preview, then click Change all.

S_l_o_w green favicons supplanting red Adobe icons

This happens at random, many times per day. The red Adobe favicons fail to appear while waiting for data from adobe.com, and then these little green favicons end up showing up instead in the address bar, the tab name and even in the bookmark menus.
I point this out because it seems tied to the long page loading times.

I've seen them, too. I didn't notice if it was during the slow periods, though. I'll pay more attention next time. ATM, red Adobe icons and fast (for Jive) Web interface.

In Safari how do I open a .PDF file in Preview instead of Adobe Reader?

When a pdf file opens on my computer in Safari, it opens with Adobe Reader (v. 7.0.8). Until recently, I could right-click on my mouse and and a drop-down menu would appear with the option to open the pdf file in Preview instead of Adobe. That option has now disappeared from the drop-down menu. Can anyone explain how to get back the menu option to open the pdf file in Preview? Thanks. David

This is what I would like to as well. I often have a lot of pdf files I need to open and then save to my hard drive. When I click on a pdf file on a website Safari opens it and then I need to right click in the document to open it with Adobe. How can I get it to open in Adobe the first time without having to right click after it opens in Safari?

Thanks a lot , I'am a complete newbie in this , I started by downloading the sdk, I unzipped it ,thought I'd try a sample named Basic Plugin, opened the solution file from the samples folder,, I built the solution,build succeeded but I'am not able to find the api file to copy it to the adobe acrobat plugin folder.Is this the right way to do this?

Photoshop CS6 will not launch on MacBook Pro. Adobe icon appears then disappears.

I am sorry but I am a Windows user and so I am not sure I can help you. I do not know if you have enough time before your project is due but if you do not get an answer here you may want to just call Adobe. They have techs that can walk you through everything. They can take over your computer and fix it for you. They have done this for me many times when I have had problems and I have always been helped.
I do not know if Mac is the same but have you tried going to your Program Files? Like... your C drive > whatever > whatever > program files? and then right + click to open it from there ...?? does Mac have something similar??

Export to PDF defaults to HTML file instead of Adobe PDF since moving to CC2014

Hi friends!
Help please. Ever since I moved to CC2014 my InDesign and Illustrator is defaulting to HTML files instead of Adobe PDF when exporting to PDF. I also use this same software at another workplace and this has not been a problem there. I am on PC, on Windows 7. Does anybody know of a preference or such that I can switch to correct this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

PDF's opening in HP Imagezone instead of Adobe? Need to fix any ieads?

Acrobat and File Association
If your PDF won't open, you MAY have a wrong/corrupted Registry entry
Open Windows Explorer and find any PDF, then RIGHT click on the file
In the option window select the program you want to use to open the PDF
You may need to BROWSE to find the program, if it is not in the list
Also click the option box to always use that program for the type of file
Now go ahead and tell Windows Exporer to open the file
WinExp will now change/update/fix the entry in the Registry
