Look to the bottom right of the iPhoto Window. See a slider there? Drag it to the right.

  • CS3 - Pages Panel - Thumbnails Too Small

On the pages panel, I have the thumbs set to extra large. But they are still too small. Is there any way at all to make the thumbs in the pages panel larger than extra large setting?
    Thank You

If they are too small you might want to consider using the Navigator panel.

  • Jpeg thumbnails too small when saved from Photoshop

Since moving to Snow Leopard, I notice that the Finder shows jpegs saved from Photoshop quite a bit smaller than jpegs saved using other apps, like Preview or just scanned images. This makes viewing the thumbnails in the Finder harder. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
I would post a screen grab to show this, but I can't see how to do that here. If anyone knows, please let me know.
    Thanks

That's because Photoshop creates its own rather smallish icons (by the new standards) for the files. If you remove custom thumbnails and let Finder draw them they'll be scalable all the way up to 512x512. There is a preference from within Photoshop to tell it to NOT create icons. Go to PS prefs, select Saving Files, and turn off Image Previews. The advantage is that the icons can be drawn larger; the disadvantage is that they will appear in Finder more slowly, since instead of simply displaying what is there Finder has to draw the icons. Furthermore, Finder doesn't always draw the icons with the clarity one would expect: sometimes they never do appear as sharp as they ought to be (there are several very lengthy threads discussing this problem, with no real solution), sometimes they slowly appear in all their large glory.
Oh, and to post a picture, as in my signature, you have to have the image available somewhere online, then add an image tag.

  • Thumbnails in "OPEN" dialog box too small to see!

The thumbnails are  too small in the open dialog box so that I can't see the file I want to open.  Yes, you can make them bigger in finder itself...but I am always opening pictures and I just can't see them!
Almost as frustrating as the column issue.   The name column is very very wide when I try to open a file.. so I can't sort by the other columns without dragging over the bar at the bottom of the screen.  THis is so so frustrating.  I resize but it doesn't stick to the next session.
Apple invented the finder.  Why is it so inferior to windows explorer?

The only solution to enlarging the icons in an application open dialog window is to use the Accessibility panel in System Preferences. Under Zoom, enable Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom.
The first time you have an application open dialog, you press the keys: option + command + =  as many times as you want to zoom in. This will enlarge the open dialog window and its contents. When done, press option + command + 8 to restore normal window size. Subsequently, you can alternatively press option + command + 8 to zoom to the previous setting, or return to normal zoom.
This is as good as it is going to get. The applications (not just Apple’s) only use a subset of Finder’s settings in the open dialogs, and these do not include icon enlargement settings, which as you realize, are part of the actual Finder’s settings. The application development frameworks, and not Finder, are remiss in not providing icon size adjustments in open dialog windows.
You can provide feedback to Apple regarding OS X.

  • Cap3: Edit Audio Timing display's thumbnail is too small

    Hello ... Regarding Captivate 3 ...
I'm trying to time my voice-over audio to a series of
application scenario slides using the Edit Audio Timing display,
but am finding it extremely difficult because the small changes in
my slides (radio button selections, text input, dropmenu
selections, etc.) are too small to detect on the miniscule
    thumbnail used in the display.
Is this poor interface design, or is there a setting
somewhere that allows me to increase the size of the thumbnail?
I've looked around, but can't find one. How do you handle syncing
audio to stretches of small screen changes?
    Regards, Myron

    Hi Myron
I won't argue as to whether this is good, bad or indifferent
interface design. But it is what it is and as far as I know it
cannot be changed. At first I thought perhaps we might see a change
if right-clicking the image and choosing "Zoom in". But all that
does is zooms in on the waveform.
This doesn't help any, but you may wish to make the
development staff aware that you would like to see the behavior
change in a future version. You may do this by
    clicking
here and completing the form you should find there.

  • Screen size in windows 8.1 - all icons too small! How do I enlarge the entire captivate 8 screen?

The entire Captivate 8 screen to too small. How do I enlarge the entire window? All icons and thumbnails are 1/4 the size they should be. Using Windows 8.1.

It looks like it is an issue between Adobe and Microsoft. (Many Adobe programs are responding this way to Windows 8 and 8.1)
I am posting this to try and get some (ANY) ideas/feedback...but to also bring it to the Captivate Community attention. I hope the Captivate Staff is aware of this issue.
Same issue -great PhotoShop screenshot Photoshop too small on windows 8.1
Photoshop CC / Windows 8.1 HiDPI / Retina scaling support

Right side menu too small font size of letters in Windows 8.1 High DPI screen
Re: Photoshop CC / Windows 8.1 HiDPI / Retina scaling support
there are many many more out there......
I tried this first, it comes with Windows and changes your display properties by application: (but it didn't work)
The program above basicly edits these settings (you can get to these by right clicking on the exe application) I tried many combos, an even tried them under the "change for all users" setting.....NADA!
I have tried editing the Windows display settings: (all screen shots below are with this setting size)
The screenshot below is at 250%. It does not make any difference in the application (check out the menu bar, properties, icons....) If I go over 150% I lose dialog box space...the buttons disappear! If I keep it at 150% the words "Advanced Actions" at the top of the dialog box shrinks slightly, enough to fit the buttons in...) I showed the difference using snag it (12 pt arial compared to the appearance of the UI ~ 4 pt.) This is so hard to see! Same issue in some of the other adobe applications. (fyi...they are all up to date)
    Photoshop = same problem
    Dreamweaver = working fine
    Flash = working fine
Premier Pro = half working....(menubar is ok but everything else is real small)
    Muse = not working
Adobe Edge Code = Working fine
OOF! Well, any thoughts anyone? I appreciate any and al feedback and ideas!!!

  • Why are my thumbnails suddenly smaller

My daughter, who is 1.5 years old, was hitting the keys on my keyboard and now my thumbnails in IPhoto are too small. I can't figure out how to change them back. They are hard to see now.

Thank you. That worked great. It's so simple I felt a little stupid.

  • E55 Incoming MMS Images Too Small

I have a E55 bought as sim free but on O2 - a brilliant phone.  All my incoming MMS message images are very small thumbnail size, too small to be of use.  It's not a settings issue with the sender.  I have researched this problem all over the internet and it's not clear if it's a phone set up problem (I've checked out all settings which seem ok) or if O2 network cannot recognise the phone (they don't sell it) so send images small as their default.  I've had this problem previously on other sim free phones on O2.
Surely there must be a solution as it appears to be very common? O2 customer support cannot help, as you might expect.  Anyone any idea?
On a separate note, is there any good S60 software around to tweak the phone under the surface, like there is for windows mobile phones? Is it possible to edit system configuration files and, if so, how and where are they?
    Thanks

have you checked your mms settings and looked at image size
    go to menu/messages /options/settings/multimedia/image size
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Maximum Thumbnail Size Smaller Thank It Used To Be

I didn't find this problem when I did a search so forgive me if it has already been posted.
I just got a new Intel iMac with iLife '06 and now I am having trouble viewing my thumbnails as large as I used to be able to on my old 15" G4 iMac. I used to be able to view 4 images at a time before going to a thumbnail that files the full frame (I can't remember if I could ever do a view of 2 images at a time or not). In any case now the biggest I can seem to get them before going to a full frame thumbnail is 6 images in a row with 5 rows (that is with the Source pane as small as I can make it).
Anyone have any ides for me? That is fine for just browsing around, but I can't see much in the way of details.

    Hi.
I just tried what you said, and opened iPhoto in my Test User account. imported some photos and tested the preview slider. Still no luck. I am using a 23" screen, and again the preview window would go from lots of small thumbnails smoothly to about 12, and then jump to one. It seems to relate somehow to windowsize though, since when I made the iPhoto window smaller to what is roughly the size of my 12" PB, it would also give me a smooth transition from 12 or more thumbnails down to 2 and to 1, which suggests that the thumbnails now work according to pixel size rather than relative screensize.
This could also have something to do that slideshows don't work the same as before any more. I have a lot of smaller images and screenshot, using iPhoto also as a reference library. Images would get sized up in Slideshows to fill the screen without cropping. Images would get blurred and pixelated if too small, but at least you could see them filling the whole height or width of the screen. Now that is not possible any more, and images get shown in their actual size (which is sometimes small), and in fullscreen mode, images are getting cropped.
Any ideas how to fix this? or is it again just a case of leaving feedback?
    thanks,
    Stefan.

  • Font too small

I downloaded the book Software Engineering for Internet Applications from Ebsco via my local library.  I have a 7 day check-out.  The fonts are WAY too small and clearly don't match what they are supposed to be since the pagination appears to lock the amount of text on the page and the text then occupies about 25% of the page.  There are no "a" and "A" options on the toolbar so I think I am dealing with a pdf, not the flowable book format, EPUB.
I then downloaded the free Philip K. Dick short story which is EPUB and that font was fine with no need for me to modify.  I then downloaded "The Geography of Bliss" which also appears to be EPUB, font is fine, margins are so tiny that black text crowds up against black digital editions borders for a verrrrry ugly experience.
This is my first attempt to use Digital Editions.  Is this the expected user interface? Because, quite frankly, it's enough to put one off of Digital Editions forever!
I am running W7 64 bit and downloaded DE through Firefox 6.0, not that that should matter.
OK, went back to the free downloads and found Huckleberry Finn in PDF ebook format and that is working fine.
So, is the problem with the book:   Software Engineering for Internet Applications?
If I go back to EBSCO, what do I tell them?  Book was formatted incorrectly and needs to be *what* recompiled??
    Thanks,
    M

I would look at the ebook's format first.  You can do this in ADE's Library
mode by displaying the 'Item Info' on the ebook itself.  You can display the
library in either of two ways (thumbnail or list), and there will be a small
arrow next to the upper left corner of the thumbnail, and on the left hand
side of the Title in list form.  If you put your cursor on that arrow,
you'll see a drop-down box that has 'Item Info' as a choice.  Click on that,
and a window will open up, containing information about the ebook.  About
halfway down, you'll see an entry with the 'File Path'.  You'll see the
ebook's title and its format - .pdf or .epub or .htm.
I think your 'clue' of whether there were options on the tool bar for font
size will be confirmed if the ebook is a .pdf. Some can support variable
text size, but most do not.  There's not much the library can do about this
either - the compilation is done by the publisher.  However, it's possible
that the library has a copy that's in epub format.  Many publishers have
    more than one version available.
    Hope this helps!

  • Fireworks CS-4 Slideshow images are too small. How can I fix this?

I've used the Fireworks CS-4 slideshow, for the Portfolio page of my website, for awhile now. However, more recently, after I've added new images to my slideshow, and previewed the slideshow in my browser, all the images are showing up way too small in the viewing area (slightly larger than thumbnail size). This was not happening before. I am running Windows 7 Pro on a 64 bit machine. Originally, I was running Vista Home Premium. Have not "put" the updated slideshow until issue is resolved. What may be causing the smaller images? What can I do to fix the problem? I'm a wysiwyg designer; not a techy. Thanks.

Here is a screenshot of what is loading....
    I can't even get add-ons or extensions.

  • Photoshop resolution on Macbook Pro 15" Retina display too small

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%)
If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly  – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display
Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see?
There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light.

    quaetapo wrote:
Well that certainly helps in terms of making the image larger – only problem is with the low resolution there's a loss of clarity and pixelisation of the image; so not the same level of quality...
In System Preferences/Display, what resolution do you have your screen set to? Try changing that also to see if the two settings can work together. Also, since the vast majority of users (Mac or PC) don't have Retina Displays, isn't what you're seeing with Low Resolution checked in Photoshop closer to what most people will see? Remember that Apple's software, such as Safari, have been upgraded to take full advantage of the rMBP display; most other browsers, especially in Windows, haven't.
And if you want to tinker with the rMBP's resolution even further, check out "Eye-Friendly" in the App Store.

I have other programs that generates more than 10,000 pages in the spool but the program I am working on creates only 7700 pages! I  am not sure what else is changed in ECC6.0! Could someone please give me any ideas? rewards assured.

    Hello Mithun,
Even i think increasing the roll area should have helped
Are both the systems WIndows based  or is one unix based ?
    see this

and search for "roll area too small" in the list of links
    it may help
    Also,
in this solution, it says to use 'field groups'
