Thumbnails Turning Purple!
Have been using CS3 with XP on a PC for approx 3 months with no major problems but in the last few days Bridge is making an adjustment to the colour of all thumbnails when previewed (whether RAW or TIFF, old or new)- so that blues are now deep purple, greens become lurid yellow/green etc.
Have reset preferences, purged the cache which results in a temporary return to normal colour but then they all start flicking to purple again.
The colours look fine when viewed with Zoombrowser.
Please - any suggestions?
Also check the camera Raw prefs in Bridge. If under default image setting the option apply auto tone adjustments is enabled uncheck this option to disable it

EMac 700MHz display turned purple/pink. Can't boot from HD and CD
hi,
I have several issues here:
1) My eMac display turned purple/pink from the start
2) It won't start from either HD or CD. It gets to the grey Apple and the spinning wheel.. After a while of spinning, it freezes and nothing else I can do. This happens on booting from HD and CD.
Please help.try unplugging the cord for an hour or so. unplug it completely, from where it goes into the machine as well as the outlet. if that doesn't work, you could also try a pmu reset. instructions are found in part 6 of this article. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=34885 let me know if that makes any difference.

I have a 2nd Display that turns purple.
I thought this was a problem with the Samsung display and bought a Acer replacement. The Acer turns purple too on occasion.
Could be a GPU issue. Considering the computer is about closer to 8 years old you may want to consider replacing it. However you can also take it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) to be professionally diagnosed. You can contact one by clicking https://locate.apple.com/country

When I apply the Key to an evenly lit greenscreen, anything blue turns purple. How can I correct this?
There's way too much blue in that green screen
This is green
Try pulling down the spill level and reducing the spill tint. You're probably going to have to tweak the color selection manually. -

any advice would be appreciated . thanks kindlyIf you are in Private browsing they don't seem to turn purple then. For me when I turn private browsing off, they DO turn purple.

Why won't my visited links turn purple
Hello, I'm brand new to Firefox, I seem to LOVE everything about it except one thing. I cannot get the links that I've already visited to turn purple. I know that in Chrome and IE, anytime you click on a link to visit its page, and you go back to the search page (ebay, google, kijiji, etc.) the link you just clicked on will be purple and the rest of them are blue. But in Firefox I cannot get the visited page to turn purple. Please help, so hard to see what I've already clicked on.

Visited links don't turn purple?
Hi, my visited links never turn purple. What's the problem? My Firefox is set to remember history, I don't see why it doesn't work. The only way to make it work is to uncheck "Allowed pages to use their colors instead of the ones selected above" but that makes every site look like crap. Other web browsers had this working, how can I make it work with Firefox without unchecking that option...?
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.

Samsung Stratosphere screen turned purple
My girlfriend's Stratosphere's screen turned purple today. She doesn't have the insurance through verizon either. She got the phone about 3 months ago. What are options to fix it or get it fixed?
I just had the exact problem this morning. I just woke up, picked up my phone and the screen was tinted pinkish purple. I figured I should investigate before calling Verizon, but this is the only other case that I can find. Did you do anything to fix yours?

Thumbnails turn to mush in front of my eyes!
Very bizarre--as I open up iPhoto (5.0.4) several of the thumbnails turn into pixelated nonsense. THis effect spreads out as though it were a (gasp!) virus! Have run "repair permissions" and "repair HD" from TIger start-up disk. Everything checks out OK via that. When I close and then reopen iPhoto the same thing happens--starts out normally and then the thumbnails start to turn on me! When i click on these hyper-pixelated images I get a big old blank for the image.
Any thoughts? This is really weird!Hi douglas,
If it were just the thumbnails being messed up I would suggest a rebuild of the library.
Try this:
Before doing a rebuild make sure iPhoto's trash bin is emptied. You can do this by control clicking on the trash bin, or from the menu bar under iPhoto.
Close iPhoto
Duplicate the iPhoto Library folder
Drag the duplicate to the desktop (hopefully you have enough room on your hard drive for the duplicate.)
Launch iPhoto holding down the Command and Option keys until you see the rebuild options screen.
Choose the first three options. If you were missing photos in your library, also choose the last option. Be advised that you will get a roll of orphaned photos and it might be quite huge. Most of them will already be in your iPhoto library, but use caution when deleting anything from this roll until you are sure the photos are still in your library in another place. It might be a good idea to share/export this roll of photos just in case you need to import them again.
Back to the rebuild, depending on the size of your library it might take some time. When it is done, hopefully your photos will be there.
You might see some unexpected results as I did when I did a rebuild. Photos had been moved to wrong dates, video clips had lost their duration info and some were even orphaned from the jpg pointer file. It took me some time to straighten it out again.
This is the reason to make a duplicate before you rebuild, in case you do not like the result. If you don't like the result, close iPhoto, then delete the rebuilt library and drag the duplicate back into the Pictures folder making sure the name is iPhoto Library. Launch iPhoto and it should open the library in the Pictures folder.
The problem is, you said the image does not appear when the thumbnail is double clicked. So it is just not the thumbnail. The thumbnail lost the link to the image.
Can you remember doing anything right before this happened. Anything in the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder? Any crashes or force quits? -

ITunes videos turning purple??
I hope somebody knows what's wrong with my itunes, because it confuses the heck out of me. I recently tried to watch one of my music videos downloaded from the itunes store. I opened it and at first I got a black screen like normal, when all of a sudden it turned bright purple! When the video started, it looked like a photo negative in purple and teal. I honestly have no clue what would cause this.
I recently upgraded my video drivers (I use omega drivers), but I don't think that's the problem, because everything else works. It's only itunes that is haunted.
I hope someone can tell me how to fix this. I'd really like to watch my videos.Try some of the settings from this article

Thumbnail turn blue after saved in PS
Hi all,
When I saved my CR2 filem to jpeg "within" Camera Raw, it will looks normal in Bridge. But it will turn blue if I open by Camera Raw then saved by Photoshop.
I have been using CS6 for a while and was perfectly normal.
If I shot in jpeg, the thumbnail will turn blue in preview. The color balance was daylight.
The sample I attached here shows the one turn blue at the left, and the normal one on the right. Do you know why? Thanks a lot. Most likely your default color settings in ACR are incorrect.

Screen has turned purple pink and I can't see anything!
My Apple TV has suddenly turned the screen pink/purple and I can't see any of the navigation options. I read somewhere that I need to switch it from HDMI auto to RGB High but after I do that the screen turns black. I try all the other settings and nothing works. This is VERY frustrating. I spent $100 on a device from Apple that is supposed to "just work" and now it's suddenly not working. I have my Apple TV connected via HDMI through a Yamaha receiver and have never had issues with it in the past. I've unplugged the power and the HDMI cable, I've also restarted my Apple TV and nothing works. Please help!
Try it connected directly or with a different cable.

Macbook freezes and screen turns purple
Over the last few days every time I've tried to use my Macbook (white, bought in January 2010) it has frozen, with the screen turning this odd shade of light purple. It will not respond to anything when it is like this. I turn it off, and when I turn it back on, it works fine... sometimes for hours, sometimes for minutes... then does the same thing again. If I turn it back on too soon after turning it off, it will freeze during start up, so I make sure to wait a significant time before restarting.
What might be causing this? What can I do to make it stop? Is my poor computer a goner? If you have something you think may fix it, please keep it in as basic English as you can, as I am nowhere near what anyone would call computer savvy! (As evidenced by use of the term "computer savvy")....I have the same problem. I just bought my first Mac and I have had the problem happen three times. Once just now, but with a grayish screen I could only force it turn off. Once before it was a greenish screen and in between those times the screen went fuzzy and a loud ratcheting squeal while I was listening to music streaming. The times when the screen went to a solid color I was using Firefox. The first instance I was opening a pdf file, and the second closing Firefox. Perhaps there is a software link. What browser for web are you using? What were you doing in the browser right before things froze?

Why are some thumbnails turned sideways
Recently some of my thumbnails are turned 90 deg. and distorted? If I click on them the photo comes sideways
for a second and then corrects. If I rotate the thumbnails the main photo gets rotated also.
This has only recently started to happen? Any idea what is causing this?
Thanks.
Pat.Pat,
That has happened to me on occasion and I'm not sure why.
