Thunderbird 31.5.0 spell check does not handle contractions at the start of a sentence properly.

For example, trying to enter Don't changes to T Don', another would be Isn't will become T Isn'.
In either case, the letter after the apostrophe is moved to the start of the sentence and capitalized with a space after it. The rest of the word and the apostrophe stay the same.

I'm surprised because I've used that add-on myself and have not had that particular issue with it. I gave up on it for other reasons; it was near impossible to use terms such as i.e. without it capitalizing, since as far as it was concerned, a period could only mean the end of a sentence, and it seemed impossible to teach it that I really wanted i.e. unmolested. File names such as profiles.ini present similar challenges.
I'm having similar issues on the Android device I'm using right now, but as you see, it can be done with some persistence on my part.

I can't gte spell check to work it just says
Most browsers check for spelling mistakes automatically. Look for the words that are flagged by red lines and right-click them to see suggestions. Note that with some browsers, you may need to download a dictionary.
    I have done this

Not all locales come with a dictionary installed for licensing reasons.<br />
If you do not have the en-US locale then check that you have a dictionary installed (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and selected.<br />
    <br />
You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages submenu.<br />

  • Spell checker does not recognise the language I'm using

Hi, I have enabled the spell checker with a couple of dictionaries installed.
I use both languages on a regular basis.
Is there a way to let the spell checker guess which language I am using automatically?
currently every time I switch to another language I have to manually select the language from the list, which is quite annoying..
    thanks

  • Firefox does not show up in the start up menu after dowloading

Every time I download Firefox I look in the start up menu and I can't find any file of Firefox. I have to download it every time I want to use the internet.

I'm not sure why you don't have a "Mozilla Firefox" desktop shortcut after you download and install Firefox. You said that Firefox does not appear in the "startup" menu. You should be looking in the Start '''All Programs''' list for a Mozilla Firefox icon (you may need to scroll up or down). If you don't see it, open the C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox folder and then right-click on firefox.exe and choose either "Pin to Start Menu" or "Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut) if you want a Desktop shortcut and it's missing.

  • How to troubleshoot issues that Spell Check is not working in Outlook 2013

When composing a new message in Outlook 2013, we may notice that Spell Checker does not recognize misspelled words. When we enter a completely garbage word in Outlook, it won’t be marked as misspelled with a red wave underline. When encountering such issue,
we may follow the troubleshooting guide below to correct it.
    1. Make sure you are not typing in the signature area.
Outlook doesn't perform a spell check in the signature area, so if this is the case, spell check won’t work. To confirm if you are typing in the signature area, right click in the area you are typing, if you see a menu listed all you signatures instead of
the normal context menu, then you are not typing in the email body.
If you want spell check work in signature area, use Quick Parts instead of Signature. For more information, see
    Quick Parts.
    2. Check the Set Proofing Language option.
In Outlook, click New Email to open a new message, click
REVIEW tab > Language > Set Proofing Language, a dialog titled
    Language will open.
Please first make sure English (United States) is shown above the double line. If not,
you must enable the language for it to be available to check spelling.
Second, make sure “Do not check spelling or grammar” check box is not selected.
Note: If this method fixes the problem, repeat steps 1 through 3 to reopen to the
Language dialog box, and then click Set As Default.
    3. Enable Check spelling as you type.
To enable the option in Outlook, go to File > Options > Mail, click Spelling and Autocorrect button. In the Editor Options dialog, select the check box labelled “Check spelling as you type”.
    4. Make sure that you are not using a standalone version of Outlook or mixed versions of Word and Outlook.
The “Check spelling as you type” feature doesn’t work when using a standalone installation of Outlook or mixed versions of Word and Outlook. However, the manual spell check always works. In this scenario, we can set Outlook to
always check spelling before sending. To do this, go to File > Options > Mail, select the check box before “Always check spelling before sending” in the Compose message section.
    5. A registry key exists overriding the spell checker
To remove the registry key, please follow these:
Important This article contains information about how to modify the registry. Make sure that you
back up the registry before you modify it.
    a. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command.
    b. In the Run box, type regedit, and then press Enter.
    c. Locate the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\1.0\Override
    d. Delete or rename the subkey.
    e. Exit Registry Editor. Restart Outlook.
    6. Recreate the NormalEmail.dotm and Normal.dotm template
If the two templates above are corrupt, this issue may also happen. To fix it, please browse to:
    drive:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates
Rename the two templates, then restart Outlook to see the result.
    7. Problematic add-in
Add-ins may cause various issues in Outlook, so if you have tried all the suggestions and still no luck, try starting Outlook in safe mode to see if a problematic add-in is the culprit. To do this, exit Outlook, press Windows key + R to open the Run
command, then type outlook /safe and press Enter. If the problem disappeared in safe mode, then go to File > Options > Add-ins and disable the suspicious add-in to resolve the problem.

  • Sound check does not work with dock connector

I have the 60GB video iPod. Sound check does not function when using the dock connector, i.e. plugged into my Belkin Autokit or a Kensington SoundDock. However, it functions as intended when used with the headphone jack. I previously used a 4G iPod, and sound check did function with the dock connector using those same products.
I am wondering if this could be:
    a) a compatibility issue between the 5G connector and the older accessories
    b) a firmware issue (I am using the 10-12-05 updater)
    c) a bug in the 5G units
    d) a bad unit (i.e. mine only)
If there is someone out there who has the same setup and could test this, it would help me. I could eliminate (a), (b), and (c) if yours works, and then I would try an exchange of my unit.
Thanks in advance if you can help.

I have a similar problem. I've never really used sound check but I recenty installed a Harman/Kardon Drive+Play iPod interface. The sound quality using the dock connection is not great. It sound somewhat distorted. It sounds much better through the headphone port. i always thought the dock connector would provide a cleaner signal. I will borrow a click wheel 4G iPod to see if the problem is with the interface or my video iPod.

  • In FB60, duplicate invoice check does not work if invoice date is different

In FB60, duplicate invoice check does not work if invoice date is different
This issue is in FB60 and not MIRO.
Duplicate invoice check is activated in vendor master.
I posted an invoice for a vendor with amount $ 100, Reference 1234 Invoice date Nov 01, 2011
I tried posting for same vendor (and also Co Code) with amount $ 100, Reference 1234 Invoice date Nov 01, 2011. System does not allow. This is fine.
Now I change only date, from Nov 01 to Nov 02, and system allow posting.
Why I don't get the error message when date is different ? It should not be treated as a different invoice since invoice reference, amount, Vendor and Co Codes are same.
SAP documentation says that it checks document date during duplicate invoice check even for FI invoices, then why does it allows in this case.
    Is this a bug ?
I already tried changing settings in SPRO under LIV, this does not impact FB60 invoice booking.
    Thanks
    Sandeep

    Hi,
Use BTE - 1110 - (Check on Invoice Duplication) for FB60. Take the help of your ABAPer to make a coding in Function module mentioned in BTE.
Need to make a copy of the FM and then you can do relevant coding.
    refer the link.

  • Erroneous word suggested by spell checker. Not in user dictionary.

A word that is obviously spelled wrong is not recognised by the spell checker, and even suggested as a correction for a similar word.
    — In my case, the word "perzeptueller" (German for "perceptual") gets the red wavy underline.
    — "perzgptueller" is suggested as a correction, which obviously is wrong.
    — "perzgptueller", when typed in, is accepted by the spell checker, which obviously is wrong.
The – misspelled – suggested word is not in my user dictionaries (~/Library/Spelling). Accordingly, I cannot "Unlearn Spelling" in the context menu.
    An anomaly?

  • Spell Checker is not working although it's enabled in the Settings and I've already installed the dictionary

I'm using the 3.6.10 version of firefox
    Mac OSX 10.5.8
the spell checker is not working correctly although all the settings needed are correct,
the dictionary's installed, the Spell checking is enabled from the “Browsing” section of “General” tab under “Advanced” heading .
but still it only underlines the misspelld words without giving me the probabilities of the right word .
this problem started to appear after I updated my browser version .
additionaly there is no "Add dictionary" or anything related to spell checking when I right-click the writing area .

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
