Thunderbird email application won't download when using wired connection to WRT610N

I've been having problems lately getting my email application, Thunderbird v.13.0.1 to work.  When I directly connect my cable modem to my iMac, it will download and send emails, but not when connecting through the router.  I just updated the firmware to V.2, and still having the problem.  Any ideas?

Still not able to send email, blahh.
I appreciate everyone's suggestions though.
Try to disable the SPI firewall. We have a tendency to disable this feature if we ran out of options. It’s still not recommended to disable SPI firewall on the router because this serves as the protector of your network...

Emails from one particular email address won't download into Mail for my [email protected] account. Email from everyone else comes in fine. I can see his mail in webmail and on my iPhone, but not in Mail. It comes through to my yahoo address but not my main address. Here are the headers from one of his emails, hopefully someone will have an idea how to fix this.

    Paula,
I sent two different photos. The same photo has been placed in both boxes.
    Ray

It's not the images that aren't downloading, it's the entire email. His email just doesn't show up in Mail, like it was never sent at all.
I access [email protected] through Mail app.
Not sure about winmail.dat... and not sure what program he uses to send mail.
Some of his mail gets through, some doesn't. Doesn't seem to be any reason. It's not always emails with attachments that don't get through. Sometimes it's just a plain text email that doesn't get through.
    Thanks,
    Paula

  • Email messages won't download on Mac Pro but do download on iPhone.

Email messages won't download to Mac Pro but do download on iPhone 5. I've made no changes in the settings on added any updates, etc. When I "check for new mail" I hear an ping - a tone I normally don't get but no messages appear. Thanks in advance for an help you can give.

I had to call Apple Support for resolution. I'm not entirely clear on the origin of the problem but it seems that the server name(s) for Apple Mail were changed by Yahoo. It took a considerable time to correct but a senior advisor at Apple pulled it through.
Thank you all for your suggestions.

  • My Application gets Error 37 when using Serial Port VIs.

My Application works fine developed with LV 6.1. Then I updated to LV 7.1 and now the Executable of my application gets error 37 when using the old serial port functions. The "serpdrv" file is located in the application directory and is from 02/2002. The application runs well in the development environment after I placed the "serpdrv" file in the LabView directory. I tried to put a line with "serialDevices=..." in the .ini-file of my application but this did not cause an improvement. I also tried to rebuild the EXE with this line in the "labview.ini" file but nothing changes.
Does anybody have another idea ?
    Many thanks for help
    Thomas

    >Did you actually replace the old serial functions that come with 7.1 with the functions from 6.1?
Yes. E.g. "open serial driver.vi" uses "open device" with "serpdrv" as device string.
I had the same problem running my application as VI´s. After the copy of serpdrv into the LV 7.1 directory everything works fine.
I don´t understand why the application running as a .exe doesn´t find the serpdrv when it is in the same directory....
Nevertheless many thanks for your answer

the cyan color won't print when using our HP Pro 6500 Officejet printer.  Can I get help with this?

This doesn't make sense. The printer is exhibiting behavior noticed when a network printer is connected to a laptop while the laptop is connected to a VPN. But in this case, neither the printer is connected on a network, not is the laptop connected to a VPN per se.
Are you sure all the latest drivers for your laptop have been installed? That's pretty much the only thing I can think of right now.

  • App Store won't load when using our wifi

App Store won't load when using wifi

So I'm having this problem with my Ipod 5th gen. I tried absolutely everything but the router suggestions. Mainly because this problem isn't just at home, it's everywhere. I can connect to every free wifi or pass-worded wifi (with the correct password) just fine. But I can't access the internet or apps using the internet at all. Full signal like everyone else. Just no results. Took every tip in this forum and nothing has worked. Even tried deleting the apps that weren't working and re-installing just to make sure it wasn't just a crappy connections with the internet. NOTHING! Someone please help? I'm starting to think it might just be the antenna or the fact that it's about 2 years old and kind of abused. It's been working up until I recovered it after 2 1/2 months of being last in the mix of pants that were packed away. Didn't get washed or anything just had the battery die while it was sitting there. Found it yesterday and starting today I can't access Safari, Youtube, the App Store, or anything else that requires an internet connection. What should I do? Should I take it in to the Apple Store and get it checked out? Or is there something I can do by myself?

  • Some RST are seen during TCP disconnection when using SSL connection

Some RST are seen during TCP disconnection when using SSL connection
It is expected that the disconnection sequence for a secure connection to be as follow:
    client ************************* server
--- alert (warning, close notify) --->
<--- alert (warning, close notify) ---
    in any order;
    and then:-
    --------------- FIN, ACK ------------>
    <----------- FIN, ACK ---------------
    ------------------ ACK ----------------->
Instead of the sequence described above, the TCP connection for a secure connection is closed with an RST.
For instance, Wireshark capture shows that an SSL+SASL TCP connection is closed in the following manner:
    client ************************** server
--- alert (warning, close notify) ---->
    ---------------- FIN, ACK ------------>
<--- alert (warning, close notify) ---

I agree it should be an ACK not an RST but it doesn't really matter. The connection is closed, and as neither the client nor the server has any pending data it is benign. Worth investigating in a later JRE.

  • Mail will not download when using an alternative ISP

I am using Mail 3.6, with the ISP being Telstra Bigpond (Australia) at my work location. I also have several Netspace mailboxes and use Netspace as my ISP at home.
Recently, while on-line at work on Bigpond, Mail has intermittently refused to download incoming mail addressed to the Netspace mail boxes. I have checked the account settings and all is as recommended by the ISP. When I am at home using the Netspace internet connection, e-mails download to both Netspace and Bigpond mailboxes with no problems. In the past this problem has not occurred.
    The error message reads
"There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account “[email protected]” or try again.
The server error encountered was: The attempt to read data from the server “pop.netspace.net.au” failed."
Interestingly, if I set up Thunderbird with exactly the same settings as used in Mail, downloads occur at both locations without problems.
My me.com mail works at both locations.
I would appreciate any advice on this matter.

I haven't used gmail, but I gather this is one of the "features". Do a search in this forum using gmail as a keyword - I think there may have been a workaround posted.

  • Help! Applications won't download?

So my phone is activated and unbricked at the store. After 7 hours at the mall, I went home and everything was working except the applications.
For example, when I tried to download the facebook app...
On the iPhone: I clicked install, I signed in and then the little icon came on the home screen with the facebook logo and loading... then it told me that it couldn't verify and to hook on to iTunes.
On iTunes: I found the application. Tried downloading it, signed on and it gave me the following error message:
+*We could not complete your iTunes phone request. An unkown error has occurred (-9808).*+
+There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later.+
This has been going on since yesterday. Now, when I try to download a song, it gives me the same error? Is this still a problem like yesterdays or is there something wrong with my iTunes?
When I run diagnostics, the network interfaces and internet connection is verified. But the secure link to the iPhone store fails. When I click the help button, it takes me to an apple help page that tells me to fix my security settings (which was already default like it needed it to be).

There are two ways to recover from this condition.
    1. Select

from the App Store menu bar, then select View hidden purchases. Stop or resume the download.
    2. Open LaunchPad and find the icon of the app you're trying to install. There will be a small progress bar below it. Click the "X" to stop the download.

  • Websphere Application Server 5.1 Hangs when using Oracle Connection Pool

I have a j2ee application that runs on WAS 5.1 ( IBM JDK 1.4 ) and Oracle 10g 10.2.0 . My customer is doing load testing with 25 virtual users and a connection pool with a max size of 10. When the test starts all 25 users attempt to get a connection, and the first 10 get a connection. At this point the application server hangs with the connection pool in allocation. This is seen in Tivoli. Each thread only needs one connection to process it's request.
I have my own home grown connection pool which when used under this load does not experience and issue. Monitoring from Oracle's admin console I see a max of 10 sessions. The home grows connection pool does not use a WAS DataSource.
I have configured my application to use DB2 with a WAS DataSource and the application server does not hang. Monitoring using Tivoli shows the connection pool going into allocation, but it recovers as is expected.
Are there any known issues with the Oracle JDBC drivers when used with WAS 5.1 DataSources?
Any direction would be helpful, as I currently thing there is an issue with Oracle's Connection Pool and the IBM JVM.
    Thanks,
    J

just an attention call: OracleDatasource connection pool does not accept parameters such as removeAbandoned, minEvictableIdleTimeMillis, timeBetweenEvictionRunsMillis, etc, these are specific for the tomcat dbcp implementation (http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/jndi-resources-howto.html#JDBC_Data_Sources).

Some of my emails both on my iPad and iPhone won't download from server since installing IOS7!

I'm having the same problem with both my iPhone and iPad after installing iOS7.  Checked all the settings and spoke to my email  provider and everything is set up properly.  It's hit or miss which messages don't download from the server too.  And occasionally, a message that does download to my iPad, won't download on my iPhone.  Everything on my PC downloads properly, it just seems to be an ios7 issue as this wasn't a problem before.  My wife uses the same email provider and is still on iOS6.x with no issues.  Any help or suggestions would be great.

  • NY Times Application Won't Download New Content

The New York Times application on my 2nd gen. touch won't download new stories. When I hit the refresh button, the status bar "Downloading Latest News" appears, but it remains at 0%.
My other apps have no problem connecting to the internet - mail, YouTube, Safari, Joost, etc.
I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, restarting and resetting my iPod, and resetting the settings.
    Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. Wife loves to read the NYT and this was one of the primary reasons I was able to talk her into getting a touch. Have tried resetting the network setting, resetting the app, reinstalling the app, restarting the ipod between all of the above, erasing and resetting the whole ipod. Nothing works.

  • Flash files won't display when using DW CS3

Anyone else have this problem? The source shows there's a
flash file on my html page but it doesn't appear at all. When I
made a new page using Dreamweaver MX, I added a flash file,
uploaded it, and all was fine (except there was that annoying 'you
must click to activate' message in IE). When I open that same html
page in Dreamweaver CS3, it says that DW will fix the 'object tag'
(to get rid of that message). So it adds the code, then when I look
at the page on the Web, there's no Flash file there at all. Is
there something else I need to do when inserting a .swf file in

Sure it does. You forgot to upload the Scripts folder that DW
    alerted you
    to do.
